I like the store I've sold a few times. I don't feel they give a good amount but think about it it's thrifting so whatever. I just don't like the fact we have to sit and wait in the store while they go through things. at least if I have to sit and wait I they should have a good waiting area. Rules: -All clothing you plan to sell must be in a tote -Clothes newborn to size 14. (Under one year sizes they prefer complete outfits and not just onesies) -You must stay present while they look through your clothes (new 2023 rule!) -choose cash OR receive 20% more if you put the money on file to spend in store This particular consignment store is very picky about what they select from your salable items. They are mostly looking for brand names and complete outfits. They have also told me that they do not buy items out of season ..... so don't walk in the store in the fall season and try and sell all your summer clothing. I absolutely love the store I love the employees they are the absolute best great deals and if you sign up with your phone number every time you buy you earn cash towards your next purchase like today I went in and I grabbed two shirts for my granddaughters and a thing of socks and it cost me $0.48 because I had $10 in and kids cash not sure if that's what it's called but hey what you guys need to go check them out they are absolutely amazing especially the staff Great selections great deals. I sold here about three years ago for my sons bouncer and other items. Typical consignment you get about 1/4 of what is worth it they will buy it. I went in today to sell my sons barely worn pants. Upon walking in I was greeted but when they knew I was selling the tone changed. They asked if I ever sold to them and I said not for years. They quickly gave me a form to fill out. I had to give my license number which i wasn't a fan of. They didn't explain the process but did yell at me for having my clothes in a bag. They only take clothes in bins or laundry baskets. This seems quite odd. Same germs come from those objects too. I attempted to get the jeans out of the bag and they again firmly told me not to. I'm not a child. Honestly looking back I should have taken the clothes and walked out. I debated back and forth to sell or not. Just be aware once you say you will sell they have no way to reverse it. I got 12 dollars for them to sell my stuff for 35 dollars. They did continue to ask me to shop in their store. The one employee had quite the negative vibe. I will not be selling or shopping here in the future. The prices seemed reasonable for gently used clothes but I have been able to find clothes on sale from the store cheaper. read more

I went in looking for gently used convese and I was lucky enough to find two pairs in perfect condition for a great price!!

Brought in a basket full of clothes today and filled out the form. There were two options on the form, one to wait in store for the clothes to be sorted through and one to leave and they will call you when they are done sorting. After filling out the form they told me I had to wait for my clothes to be sorted through, mind you there were two people in front of me and they told me it would be at least an hour. Why would they ask that on the form and who has an hour to wait around?! Especially considering this is a child's clothing store so we are all parents with little kids. There weren't even chairs to sit in. They force you to look around, so you buy things. And the women at the counter were extremely rude about it. I have visited store in the past and both sold and purchased. Today I went and very disappointed! They give you nothing and clothing is pricey. "Once upon A Child" much better store and they give you good price. When I asked about things they did not take, woman told me they were separates and old!!! Well, she didn't look through things very well because she gave me back pieces that went with things they "took". I say "took" because she virtually gave me less than 75 cents per piece! Many of things I brought had never been worn, other pieces all clean and no smells. I looked on racks and they will price items for $5 and up. I understand what consignment is, but I honestly don't think the woman looking through what I bought knew what she was doing. She was carrying on conversations with other shoppers, owner etc! I should have just taken everything back! Unfortunately I took the store credit instead of the $7 for 12 pieces, so I will need to go back and use this for probably 1 shirt or pair of pants!! read more

Store hours for buying say Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 walked in at 2:30 p.m. and they said buying hours are only at 3:00 p.m. and I canvnot bring them in bags. Staff is always rude buying or selling. They change the rules for selling items on a monthly basis without informing people. Then proceed to be argumentative when you have proof that the rules are inconsistent. Save your energy and sanity and just go to OUAC. They also prefer to buy lower quality brands and skip over Hugh end names. read more

Went in here to find some comfortable maternity clothing and was sordidly disappointed by the prices. They are trying to sell items for only a few dollars less than retail value. Case in point: I picked up one shirt that was from Old Navy that they were attempting to sell for $8. I found the same shirt on ON's website for $10. Another ON dress they were trying to sell for $17 that cost around $20 on the website. Absolutely ridiculous pricing. Unless there is a clearance sale, it's not worth it. read more

Went into Kid 2 Kid recently in an attempt to trade in around 300 items of baby clothing in hopes for some store credit. Despite around half of the outfits never even being worn, I noticed they barely looked at what I brought in. Based on my observations, other parents were bringing in clothing in bins, and I had brought mine in with bags. Silly me for not knowing their acceptable etiquette. Everything I brought in was rejected, while the parents with bins got credits. Made me feel embarrassed for how much money I had spent here buying items for my daughter in the past, just to be treated like garbage for bringing in clothing in bags. A good majority of the outfits I brought in originally came from Kid 2 Kid, so I guess they are too good for themselves? I also felt that since I was the only single father in the store, and everyone else was mothers, that there was a gender bias going on. read more

Melissa & Doug items are all at great prices. Suggestions: 1) display dress clothes and Mel/Doug in front window. Snazz It! Up! 2) Have a small Toy Area w carpet at the back where all the toys can be handled by the kids. 3) Separate areas by age/size and have clothes/toys/shoes/outerwear together like department stores do. This place is ok, maybe a little pricey but the clothes on display were either in very good or never worn with tags condtion, so I can appreciate that. They had a lot of baby clothes/items but I am not in the market for those so I didn't look too carefully at those ;) As a seller, not the best deal..I have done better selling on e bay but I don't have the time right now. I brought in 3 pairs of my 6 year daughters outgrown shoes, worn probably less than 10 times (she is extremely picky and fickle about her shoes) and these are very high end shoes because she has a high instep and cheap shoes never fit her well. I came here looking for a maternity dress to wear to my baby shower. I am 8 months pregnant and was barely fitting into any of my clothes, but I did not want to spend an arm and a leg on new clothes I'd only wear for a few more weeks until the baby is born. I left the store with a beautiful Motherhood Maternity dress that I've already worn several times, a pair of maternity shorts (that I had almost spent $35 on at Target a few days prior), and some cute & comfy shirts. A beautiful new addition to my pregnancy wardrobe all for about $35 (and now that I have shorts and t-shirts that fit, I can tolerate the summer heat again)! My husband and I also browsed the kid's section, and there are some really cute toys - new and used - and a wide selection of nice quality children's clothes. My husband and I are from New Jersey, and we have never before seen such a clean and organized consignment shop! We'll be back. read more

I like to stop in kid to kid now and then. Sometimes I walk out with nothing, other times I get a lot for much less than I would have shopping retail. Many times the clothes I buy here still have original tags on the clothes or look close to brand new. I was really thankful for them right before easter... I needed a little white cardigan to go over my daughter's sleeveless Easter dress and couldn't find one anywhere local. I found one here on a mannequin and they were happy to take it off to let me check it out. It was perfectly white with pretty crystal buttons in beautiful condition. I've gotten baby clothes and shoes here before as well and I've found the staff to be very nice and have even gone out of thier way to help me find particular things I'm looking for. I do sometimes find things that I think are priced too high for what they are, but I just pass those up and keep searching the racks because I know there are often gems here that are often over looked. I tried to bring clothes in here once for consignment and didn't have anything accepted by them despite thier clean and new conditions... But I didn't hold it against them because I understand that they often just have enough of certain types of clothes and are looking for others or may be looking for different sizes or brands.
