I also noticed a reviewer mention "extra helpers," but I had extra guys on my moves too, and the price was nearly the same. The difference? The job got done faster and more efficiently. That's exactly how it should work, and I appreciated it. And to the folks nitpicking about a few smooshed, overloaded cheap totes... I had a full house of furniture moved, and everything, couches, dressers, fragile items, was handled flawlessly and since you only had a tote to mention we can assume yours did also. The bottom line is that you shouldn't waste time looking around, just use Burkhardt. One of the owners David came a week before the move, gave me a reasonable estimate and was incredibly personable. Then yesterday they sent two guys (Morgan and Kyle) who were absolutely tremendous. Sometimes you never know what you're getting with movers, but these two guys were courteous, listened to make sure that things were done the way I wanted, and they let me know on multiple occasions that they were dedicated to making sure that the job was done the way I wanted. And to make it even better, they were also focused on being efficient which meant that the move went smoothly and quickly without any feeling that they were cutting corners. It wasn't until later that I found out that Morgan is also a Burkhardt, and it gives me confidence that this company is going to be around for a long time. Moving is usually an emotional affair, but Burkhardt Movers were so fantastic that the sadness of the move was quickly replaced by gratitude for how pain-free they made the move. Would be one star, but I added a second star because the guy on the phone was very kind, and one extra star because this is about my dissatisfaction with a moving estimate, not the actual service.
