This was my second time in after receiving HORRIBLE customer service the first time around. I figured I would give them another shot. I used to live in WA, moved out of state, then moved back and Kidd Valley was one of the places I looked forward to visiting. Except it seems like so much has changed with the company for the worse. The first time I took a large party and spent about $130 to basically have our food thrown at us. I was mortified that I had been raving about this place to out-of-town family members and I kept apologizing for the awful service because I was so embarrassed. The second time was not much better. I walked in and the cashier was on her phone, didn't look up at all or greet me. I had to say "hello" just to get her to see that I was standing in front of her. Instead of apologizing for being distracted, she looked at me as if I was interrupting her cell phone usage. I began to order and she wasn't following so I had to repeat my order over again. Then she said they no longer do combos so she had to price out all of the items separately making it $17 for ONE meal. When I got my food it was cold and definitely NOT the normal kidd valley standard that I was used to years ago. Overall, both visits have been an utter failure and I will not be returning, especially to this location. The staff needs to receive customer service training because they are extremely rude and unwelcoming. You could definitely get better food and service practically anywhere else for your money. read more

Excellent, excellent hamburgers. I got a double bacon cheeseburger. I had been going here for years. Moved out of state, came back. It's at least as good as I remember it. I added grilled jalapenos and they cooked those really well and it made a great accompaniment. Great french fries too. The people there were so hard working. I really think they deserve all the credit in the world for that. Working at a restaurant nowadays has got to be even more stressful. But I will be back and I really appreciate this family run business. read more

Always love the deep-fried mushrooms at KV; hadnt been to the Kenmore store in a LONG time, stopped in today, had the Bacon cheese burger, strawberry milkshake and those fabulous mushrooms. Quick cheerful service, burger juicy lots of bacon and that flame-broiled char, and the batter on those mushrooms, ohhhhh, heaven. The interior here was clean but the decorator should be doing time at Monroe for his crime, hideous. Prices have always been high, but the 'meal deal' pricing leaves one wondering - doing the math I only got TEN CENTS savings ordering the 'meal deal', cmon now! Hence you only get 4 stars. read more

Came here on a weekday evening but there weren't many people here. Despite having to wait 10-15 minutes for our food, my double bacon cheeseburger looked quite promising. However, the two paddings were kinda of just thin and not very juicy. It overall tasted a bit dry. Also got a vanilla milkshake and it had a hint of fake sweetness to it. read more

This is NOT a fast-food joint, although one could be excused for thinking that it was. All the food is made to order, so be prepared to order from the counter, pay a premium price (relevant to the burger joint down the street), and wait while your meal is cooked. Having said that, where else can you get fried mushrooms?! Or fresh-cut onion rings?! The fries were not under-cooked, but I would have preferred a longer time in the oil, or perhaps the oil wasn't hot enough? My son really likes the garlic fries but I wasn't impressed (again, I think the fries are not as done as I like). The milkshakes were good, hand-made with fresh ice cream. The atmosphere tries to replicate days long past, but the nostalgia fails miserably. Having said all that, I'll visit now and again, when it's available on my way. I struggle with choosing stars for this. Last night my takeout order was missing 3 items, what we did get was tasty. We didn't know until we got home so I went without dinner. Service had been nice, and when I called back they were apologetic and offered to remake it for pick-up. I wasn't going to back that night so they took my info so I could come today. Upon coming in the curt cashier was in no way apologetic, appeared to roll her eyes at me, and huffed when she had to verify my story. I wanted to add to my order since my family would want food again as well. Apparently this was also an issue as she gave me attitude again. I felt offering a free kids cheeseburger and an apology would've been appropriate. This service was in no way good (and they were dead compared to last night). I like this location for the parking lot and being close to the Kenmore marina and lake Washington. That way you can pick up something to go and then jump on a boat, eat your meal on the dock, or go to the near by park. The burgers here are always solid, I mean for a small local chain they are hard to beat. My fav is the "Burger dip", as it sounds it's a burger served on a toasted French roll, cheese of your choice and either au jus or bbq sauce, very yummy. Onion rings are some of the best as are the garlic fries! Oh for the love of God, just look at the flavors of milkshakes....drool.... They offer a chicken breast for those who don't eat beef and they serve a veggie patty burger as well. read more

I love Kidd Valley. I am an unapoligetic lover of Fish & Chips . . . I have had just a few things from their menu, but the meal always revolves around Fish & Chips. The fish & chips at Kidd Valley are some of the best I've ever had. Corn meal breaded, thin strips of fish which is always done perfectly. I do not exaggerate when I say that the fish is one of the two best in the Pacific Northwest! The peripherals are good but not great. The fries are usually good, the onion rings are good . . . but the Garlic fries are heavenly. They need to expand the chain outside of the central Puget Sound region . . . won't happen, but I can wish, can't I?! read more

Let me start by saying the burgers are good depending on who is making them. The service is terrible. It took forever to get our food, and the staff seemed like they didn't enjoy their job. Don't look back in the kitchen area, it looks disgusting. I'm only speaking of the Kenmore location. Haven't viewed the other locations, but let's assume if one location is this bad, then we can assume the others are not far off. Milkshake was ok, fries were under cooked. Came here for the first time last night. Got a double cheeseburger that was a sloppy mess. The top bun was half off and the beef pattys weren't even aligned well. I also splurged and got the garlic fries. Don't. It is nothing but their regular fries with a spoon of minced garlic added and they are not worth the almost 4 bucks. Overall it was above pricy for what they offer as it's barely a step up from regular fast food like mcdonalds. Good side: plenty of parking and pretty view of the water. read more

Very disappointed, I used to come here all the time about 5 years ago when we lived in Kenmore. At the time, the food was delicious every time! We came over on a Friday night and the place seemed pretty busy, which is totally fine. I am all for waiting on food when it's busy and knowing my food will come out delicious. This was not the case, After waiting about 20 minutes or so for 2 burgers, Fries, Fried Mushrooms and a kids meal. The food was awful, Burger patties were very chewy, Fries were ice cold (Looks as if they had been refried multiple times), Fried mushrooms were cold and soggy (This being the main reason for our trip here), Kids meal chicken was luke warm at best. Restaurant cleanliness was not great either, all the tables dirty, under the tables and around walls were pretty gross and the bathroom smell was not so pleasant. I've never understood why Kidd Valley doesn't make a "Best Burgers in Washington List". If you've never had them I highly recommend it. Even though I am not really a fan of In-And-Out, I've heard multiple people compare Kidd Valley to them. They make a great classic burger. I would give them a four for food taste, quality, and value, and a five for customer service and friendliness. The employees are really great! The prices are high for fast food but they cook everything fresh and the patties are never frozen. The fries are decent and the garlic fries are very good. The burgers are just fine. They keep everything behind their counter- napkins, drink dispensers, ketchup packets. I found that kind of odd. I've loved Kid Valley since I was a kid, especially fried mushrooms, but I would avoid this location. The state of this restaurant is sad. The interior just felt dirty. Instead of ketchup packets they had full bottles of ketchup that look like they had been there for years with dried ketchup all over nozzle. No napkins or to go utensils/condiments available. Long waits for food. The person at the counter would just disappear for minutes at a time. I could go on, but you get the picture. My food was OK, but was hard to enjoy because the restaurant gave me the chills. This location is giving Kid Valley a bad name. I came in on a Tuesday night around 7:30 PM, ordered a blue cheese bacon burger, garlic fries, and a chocolate shake. A pretty standard order. Well, I ended up getting A regular bacon cheddar burger, and the burger looked like it had just been reheated from earlier in the day. Very disappointing. Ok, I would give it 4 stars, but I thought the inside was too dirty. If you're paying premium prices for fast food, I'd like a nice clean place to eat my food, if I so desire. We got take-out that consisted of a burger and some sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were beyond delicious! I dipped them in Kid Valley's tarter sauce, which may be some of the best I've ever had, pre-packaged and all. I didn't have any of the burger but it looked quite tasty. While fast food isn't my thing, next time my honey wants some, I would def be down to go to Kid Valley and get some more of the piping hot, silky sweet on the inside, crunchy on the outside, sweet potato fries. My first Kidd Valley experience outside of the one at Safeco Field. I have much higher expectations of a restaurant when it isn't churning our hundreds of over priced burgers to ravenous sports fans and unfortunately this KV failed to meet my expectations in nearly every way. When I arrived the line was nearly out the door. There is only one order station in this restaurant which doesn't move things along very quickly so lines develop in no time at all. The dining room as a whole is awkwardly laid out, the order station bisects it, so you have to cross lines to get to condiments, cutlery, and restrooms. Overall the room is dingy and worn looking. I ordered my meal, then tried to find a seat. I was a single diner and there are only two small tables in the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, both of these tables are on either side of the line for food, so you end up with waiting people standing next to you, bumping into you, and staring at you while you dine. Awkward, to say the least. Not wanting to take one of the larger tables away from the larger groups of diners in the line behind me I took the smaller tables and waited for my meal. It didn't take long for my food to be prepared and was delivered directly to my table by a nice young man, but I'd can't say much for my meal. It was cooked well enough, but it was dull, ever so dull. There is simply nothing that makes this anything more than the most boring burger ever served. it was a dull patty, on a dull bun, topped with dull toppings. Mine was mushroom burger, and it doesn't taste like they were anything but plain warmed through mushrooms. No flavor, they might as well not have been there. Maybe that's why they put unsolicited sides of tarter on the tray, that might have helped with the flavor deficit. Onion rings were okay, thick and heavy, but don't redeem the whole meal. I hit the end of the meal wondering what on earth I just paid $11 for. I think the staff could use a brush up on organization. While eating my meal I watched three people come in for take-out orders. All three of them received their food but ended up waiting several additional minutes for their drinks to be prepared, while their food was getting cold in their hands. You'd think the drink would be the first thing they made and gave to the customer. The annoyance and frustration on the faces of the customers was pretty clear. I don't think I'd try the Kidd Valley again. There are other burger joints in this town, I'll seek them out, and drive just a little bit further, to get a better burger, a better dining room, and a better dining experience. read more

Whatdafuq?! My friend is a burger guy. And I'm so glad he brought me here. After already tasting Dick's Drive-In's burgers I was told that I was in for a treat. It felt like I had been transported back to the 1950's. The air was filled with the aroma of fresh beef being cooked and the sounds of Paul Anka, The Cadillacs and Little Richard. The staff was super friendly and as a Cali girl, I'm just not used to people being nice unless they want something. I had a regular cheeseburger which was the size of my head. I looked at my friend like, "Um, I don't think I'll be able to finish this." Just like my jeans, I made it fit. Juicy, full of flavor and I had to stop to inform my friend across the way how grateful I was for being in the presence of such a magnificent culinary achievement. Hmmm - Sammatha K. S. must have been there on a bad day. My wife and I went there a week ago - she had a craving for a bacon cheeseburger. I can't say they are the best burgers around, but they beat anybody else in the Kenmore area and Bothell area - and definitely are several steps above the national chains. I actually like and usually get their fish sandwich (burger) with cheese. They are the only place that makes them like a hamburger with all the stuff on them. Their burgers get 3 stars. If it was only about their fish sandwich, they would get a solid 4 stars. UODATE: OK, I've been getting their Fish Sandwich with Swiss cheese, still my favorite fish sandwich. I forgot to mention that I discovered their sandwich card. Buy 10 sandwiches and get the next one free. And you get an extra punch if you can answer their question of the day. So if you are real good at trivia - a free sandwich after 5. FISH & CHIPS UPDATE: I finally tried their Fish and Chips. Definitely a step up from Spuds, but still not my ideal.
