I am giving this little place five stars for two reasons: one is the amazing, welcoming attitude of…read morethe place, and the other is because I only drank soda and nobody cared. Mesh, the bartender was so amazing, friendly and approachable. I came into this little place with a feeling of history. You see, my mom worked here for years in the 70's, 80's and early 90's. I loved that the bar is modernized just enough to make it comfy, but with enough of the old feel to make it feel as though my mom was still there. As my mom passed away several years ago, I walked in with tear-filled eyes and Meesh totally understood and even allowed me to play my mom's favorite song on the juke box. So, with Lyin Eyes on the awesome and modern jukebox and the neon booze signs on the walls, I could actually feel my mom in the room, telling her infamous dirty jokes. I shared this with everyone, and we all raised a glass in her honor. Tequila shots for my companions and a water shot for me! I love that they serve hard alcohol here, makes for a nice variety in drinks and patrons. Now, on this particular night, there were only 3 others in the bar (maybe 4), but it was a great atmosphere. The entire place is super clean with updated bathrooms with the doors I'm sure were there when the place was built. Now, I don't drink and have never really been a regular at a bar, but the welcoming environment and friendly Meesh, I am certain I'll be back again & again. If you are in Kenmore, stop in for a nice beverage, good conversation and homey atmosphere!

There were separate menus for food and for drinks. They do not take reservations, so expect a wait if you visit in prime time. I had a plum gin and tonic - made with a limited production gin variety, and my wife greatly enjoyed the whiskey with apricot. Both beverages were unique, somewhat sadly so, since I'd like to be able to find them closer to my home... Between the excellent drinks, live bluegrass, and food from De La Soil, Copperworks in Kenmore makes a fantastic destination. Parking may also be difficult to find if you show up on a busy evening.

Lots of seating inside and outside available. Plenty of flatware and napkins available. Good was available to order although we skipped as we were doing food elsewhere. We've been here a few times and always enjoyed their food, drinks, and service. Their cocktails are amazing and pairs well with the chill atmosphere. Seating is spacious and is perfect for group gatherings. Cocktails are undeniably their forte. Their menu features 13 cocktails, however their bar has a decent collection and can certainly create more than what is listed on the menu. My favorites are The Original Zombie, Painkiller, and Jungle Bird. The Original Zombie has a limit of 2 per customer and for a very good reason. They also have a kiddie cocktail menu featuring 4 drinks. And yes, they're non-alcoholic. Their food is also noteworthy. I tried their Tokyo Tots, Nui Nui Banh Mi, Big Wave Brussels Sprouts, and Saigon Kick Chicken Tenders. The Banh Mi was decent and was served with a side of mac salad. The chicken tender was spicy and was topped with pickled carrots and daikon radish. The brussel sprouts were crispy and flavorful. Our server was very attentive and always checked in on our table. Overall, a great neighbor spot. They do have a happy hour menu and is worth checking out.

The grounds are beautiful but if you've never been here before, finding the place could potentially…read morebe a bit challenging. I'd been to the State park before (before it became a hotel and bar) so I had a bit of an idea of where this cute little speakeasy bar might be, plus we also wanted to walk around & see "everything" before having our drinks. I will say that I would have ended up here much sooner (I've been wanting to go check it out for the past year or maybe even 1.5 years) but the fact that you either have to have a Discover Pass or pay $10 per car for parking, was what delayed me in making it to this bar. I truly feel that the Tonsorium Bar should validate parking and then they'd have a lot more customers. I already knew that the food and drinks at the bar were going to be pricey, and didn't want to pay the $10 parking fee on top of that. I finally found a friend who had a Discover Pass and who also wanted to check out the bar, so I did eventually make it! Once inside the building you need to find stairs and go downstairs. If you see an old barber chair, you know you've found the bar! They had live music when we went (and it was really good too), not too loud, not too quiet, just the perfect volume. The staff uniforms seem to be a green dress shirt or blouse, and all the servers & the bartender were nice and helpful. The fries were very good but a bit pricey ($9 seems a bit much for fries) and I enjoyed my cocktail. They also had quite a few items on their non-alcoholic menu (nice for those who don't drink or the designated driver) but I wish they would get some non-alcoholic rum as that is my favorite, and sadly that was one of the few things they didn't have. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you will probably love this place, as they have a lot of foods on the happy hour menu as well as the dinner menu to accommodate. Foods seemed to come from the restaurant upstairs and it was nice to see them bring the foods past us and get an idea of what all the menu items looked like. I kind of wished I'd gotten the steak salad, as that one looked really appetizing when they brought it out. Since this bar is "downstairs" there isn't really a view of the grounds, like the bar upstairs has, but this is definitely the "popular" bar, probably cause of it's cozy feel and speakeasy vibes. Looking forward to coming back when the weather gets warmer and maybe combining a walk/mini-hike around the grounds with a trip to the bar.

The place wasn't busy so didn't understand why the food took so long. Then we had some rude employee come to our table and said he called animal control because of our dog. We had checked on the dog a few times while we waited over an hour for a salad and flat bread. That was the last straw. Never going back again.

The menu changes seasonally, and they host special events once or twice a month with unique fixed food and drink pairings-so there's always something new to try (and the events are a blast). A huge part of what keeps us coming back is the staff. The servers are friendly and attentive (and a lot of fun to chat with if it gets slow). And if you sit at the bar (highly recommend!), Cameron and Michael take it to another level. They're both talented, passionate and a lot of fun. They're always happy to make something off-menu or surprise us with bartender's choice. They've definitely turned us into cocktail snobs lol. And the food absolutely holds its own. We originally came for the cocktails on another bartender's recommendation, but we were blown away by how good everything has been. The ribeye is easily as good (or better than) steaks I've paid twice as much for elsewhere. The burger and fries are among the best around-and these days, one of the best deals anywhere if you go during happy hour. Similar can be said for everything else on the menu; we've had every appetizer, entree and side dish at least twice :P And since we're usually posted up at the bar, when there's a lull we sometimes get to chat w/ the kitchen, and it's clear they take real pride in what they do. It's just an awesome place with awesome people! :)
