Four years ago, I searched extensively through the pediatric provider list in the Summerlin area, and it was extremely difficult to find a good doctor. Even though there are many pediatricians nationwide, it's not always easy to determine which doctor is truly suitable for your child's care. After reading many reviews, I knew I wanted to share my own experience and express my gratitude toward Dr. Miniskun. Dr. Miniskun is an amazing doctor. He has many patients and a very busy schedule, and it's important to understand that all relevant information is documented in the medical records and scanned into the system. It's unrealistic to expect any physician to remember every detail of a patient's background without reviewing the chart. When the file is open, he is thorough and attentive to the patient's medical history, illnesses, and conditions. Dr. Tal is also excellent. He focuses on current vitals and addresses whether your child is sick, ill, or coming in for a wellness check or physical. When he asks how your child is doing, he genuinely wants to hear the parents' observations so that any concerns can be discussed and appropriate treatment can be provided if necessary. I would like to commend the entire staff for doing a great job keeping appointments on track and providing parents with the necessary information. Like anyone else, I may have had a bad day in the past and been rude once to a receptionist, but what truly matters is making things right. Professionalism goes both ways. If someone ever feels differently about the office, it may be best for them to look elsewhere--but as for me, I am truly grateful. Dr. Miniskun is a great doctor, and I thank him for everything. His advice and care for my son are invaluable. read more

They charge you $10 administration fee a year for the possible scenario where they may need to send paperwork for you while the doctor comes in wearing an $800 smartwatch. They clearly are underpaying their secretary and the $10. They're charging everyone every year is just a grift. Maybe the doctor can forego his $800 smartwatch while he's ripping me off for $10 on my first visit read more

My child has RSV Can believe Dr Minuskin told me that she if fine just a little cough, I knew I was right and I trusted my mommy instincts and took her the the emergency room and now my little baby girl is in a ICU room having oxygen in her nose to help her lungs and an iv for hydration because she can not drink a bottle! He told me that every thing was fine and it would go away and I told them that she has been sick before but not like this and he disregarded my thoughts and feelings on my kids and said she fine!...Clearly see that her breathing was raspy and she was having a hard time breathing! As we left the office I did even get a follow up appointment to see if her health would I'm prove, I really question his knowledge and health and just being a pediatrician Insane that this place has 4 stars. read more

I'm so glad I found Dr. Minuskin. He checked & cleared my daughter at Centennial Hospital when she was born. Then, he was just as informative & straight forward as he is every visit. He respects our choices for our daughter, never pushy. He's associated with APP, which is another green flag on why I chose to stay with him as her pediatrician. The office is nice, easily accessible and easy to get an appt with. He answers all my questions throughly, even when I come in with a list lol Always a good vibe and pays close attention to the children's health and well being. Out of respect to Doctor Miniskin, I have to revamp my review of his office / practice. In my last review, I was upset due to Angelica not giving me my child's immunization records or having the appropriate staff to handle my request. On Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, I had to bring my two kids in, and all I can say is seeing first hand how Angelica is by herself answering a multi-phoneline and very busy dealing with patients, typing, and phones is yeah I can't do her job by far, I'd lose it. But on a solid note, like my other reviews as stated, Doctor Miniskin is a great doctor, and he does absolutely care about his staff and patients. He was the only one who noticed my daughters aortic stenosis and my sons testicles not dropping. If it weren't for him, I'd probably be lost and frustrated as many other past doctors had no clue what they were checking for or even bothered checking my daughter. read more

I have been going to this place since my child was born since he was the dr on call at the hospital. Dr Minuskin and the nurses are good with kids. I just don't like that my child is just another clipboard to him. For 2 years at every visit he would ask me about my child's skin condition. It got annoying having to tell him something that he should know. Also the front desk can be rude. I was on hold for over 25 minutes and when calling again I was hung up on. Definitely not worth the 40 minute trip. read more

I do not recommend DrMinuskin or this office. I have brought my kids here twice. Both times I have been dissatisfied. Dr Minuskin does not interact well with kids as crazy as that sounds. He calls them cute and pats them on the head. He did not ask my child questions, make small talk and most importantly did not ask permission to touch and assess my children. He just lifted there shirt up and did his assessment with no conversation. During his assessment he asked me questions and i would give answers witch my thoughts and questions. He almost becomes argumentative with what is stated. He did not even provide suggestions or his conclusion after assessment. I wish I could give a 0 star rating! I went to Kiddies Pal Pediatrics with my 3 year old son, this was our first visit in this office and we saw Dr. Minuskin. We had the worst experience with waiting for 45 minutes to be seen after paperwork was completed plus showing up 20 minutes early. It is too much to wait an hour with an active toddler. We finally were called in, the doctor was in a hurry and very aggressive during a standard pediatric wellness check. I ask that you find a caring and gentle doctor that will actually take care of your child. I see that he responds to bad reviews with nasty comments, totally UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

We have been there since my baby was from newborn until 9 or 10 months. First, when I ask some questions, Dr. Minuskin was just talking talking talking bra bra bra so quickly and then he never answers the question. So always I felt like a cloud of the issue. And When my son coughed for a few weeks and he breathed hard and touched his ears frequently. So I took see Dr. Minuskin three times in two weeks. And I just ask the doctor to check his ears because he is touching a lot. And the doctor is always saying "it's just Teething. And Don't worry it's just ear wax". I thought it was so weird. And Dr. Minuskin looks like doesn't want to give any medicine(especially antibiotics) to the baby. Anyway, I was not satisfied with his prescription. So I decided to change the pediatrician. Anyway, my son's condition was still sick, so I took a different pediatrician the next day, and then they said "Oh gosh, His ears are very red. He got an ear infection. What a pity! he must be in so much pain! And he is coughing too long! " Then they gave us antibiotics soon. Luckily we could find his ear infection and got antibiotics. So we could avoid his deafness. The good point is here is easy to make an appointment and when my son falls from the crib and hit his head accidentally, my husband called Dr. Minuskin, and he calls back in a few minutes. That is very appreciated it. Anyway, think seriously when feeling wired, and please believe the hunch of the parents!! read more

It's with a heavy heart im writing this review. Most of us write reviews when we are upset and not in the good times but I have referred countless families to Dr. Minuskin because I used to truly believe in him, I cannot any longer. Over time his office has changed. Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to switch pediatritians. We had been seeing Dr. Minuskin since my oldest daughter was 1. He was outstanding then. Very attentive, very knowledgable. He caught a blood issue that her previous Pedicatrictian should have. But slowly his office has become a shadow of what it once was. Wait times have lengthened, office staff had fast turn over, issues with billing, care and attentiveness had declined. I was willing to stick it out since I believed in his care. The final straw for us was his bed side manner in the form of non-consenting touch. My oldest daughter now 6 is learning about consent and that people no matter who should not be touching your body in inappropriate ways. I would like to preface this by saying I do not believe his intention was sexual in any manner but when dealing with young children especially female you have to verbalize what you are doing. He without prompting lifted her shirt and used his stethoscope on her chest. My daughter was visibly shaken by his actions. I addressed this with the office staff and let them know that my daughter felt extremely uncomfortable as she had expressed to me. The next visit he prompted her about what he would be doing and why and there was no issue. I was relieved. But unfortunately after that on the very next visit he dismissed his female student and rolled right up to and again without prompting or saying anything put his hand under her shirt with stethoscope and proceeded with his examination on her chest then back. I will not be asking for basic bed side manner TWICE. In addition to that issue I felt that my other concerns were not being taken seriously. My daughters feet were hurting and in extreme pain. She had had a rapid amount of growth in a short time which lead me to believe there might be an issue. It was brushed off, the new pediatrician took my concerns into consideration and put in a referral to a specialist and blood work in the very first visit. She has now been diagnosed with something through the blood work and we are awaiting a MRI to rule out any tumors in her brain. Im not sure why it's changed so much? Dr. Minuskin has spread himself so thin he is losing focus of the patient. Between his wife running the front office because of staff turnover and the constant students in the office and his practice growing so rapidly who knows. I truly believe he could be one of the best if he had help, maybe even a PA. I am my children's only advocate. I will always choose better for them and unfortunately this office is no longer providing that. read more

I am pretty shocked at some of these reviews.... I have been going to Dr. Minuskin for at least 5 years..... and I think he is absolutely wonderful. I've been through a few doctors to find the perfect one. He truly cares about his patients. He remembers my son every single time we come. Listens to my concerns, answers my questions, and never gets annoyed. I don't feel like my son is another clip board to him! I even moved to the complete opposite side of town and I refuse to find another doctor. I will continue making the drive out to him, every appointment. Absolutely wonderful doctor. Wife and I have 3 kids that are assigned here.. We gave this Dr multiple chances.. Office is extremely rude. I mean we're literally arguing over a no show bill when we could not confirm an appointment with them to begin with; while my sons with a fever, cough, blood shot eye, red cheeks and breathing is labored, instead of just focusing on taking care of our child, their patient.. after this lady says we don't have to be there because of a stupid measly $31 bill.. Unbelievable.. we left to urgent care and going to find a different doctor for our kids.. Further more.. $31 bill. I looked into the history of our payments and my insurance. I'm only supposed to pay $25 for my co pay for in network and out of network. Doesn't matter where my kids and I go, what state, city, etc . But they charged extra for years. Also an annual fee per child. As far as practice- the Dr would not prescribe our youngest a nebulizer, even though he has consistently had the same breathing issues every time he gets sick. He had numerous respiratory viruses and it took 1 other visit with another dr for them to get him what he needs. Literally night and day difference. My other son needs speech therapy and we took him in for it. (He used to have it in a different state previously). The dr evaluated him and said he doesn't. We thought maybe the speech therapy worked and he's good to go. Fast forward a year and the school is telling us otherwise. We have him evaluated with CCSD and they say no he needs this. To get a referral has been a nightmare and we're glad we left. Overall as parents trying to give this doctor and his office a chance has limited our children's needs and that's on us. Please don't make that same mistake and avoid this place. I guess this final mediocre $31 bill wasn't the reason why we left but just the cherry on top that made us conclude the decision how horrible this place has been for our children. read more

Best Dr I've ever worked with. Did my boys circumcision and treats him regularly. Our baby also had colic symptoms and he had us switch formulas and it's been like a miracle in the difference. Dr. Minuskin is a horrible doctor and person. He does not care for his patients, by far the worst mistake I've made is taking my son to him. I requested my sons medical records months ago and still have not received them(they told me they would call when they got into the office,never did) When my son was excessively bleeding in the ER due to a circumcision that dr. Minuskin performed he never returned any of mine or my fiancé's calls and multiple voicemails. However he did answer the phone for the hospital and told them that I had refused a shot for my baby and that is why he was bleeding so much. So instead of just helping us he decided to put the blame on me without having actual facts. My new pediatrician requested my medical records and got them literally the same day and in his chart it clearly says he did receive the shot. Just a little word of advice for you Dr. Minuskin blaming people and trying to make it their fault that their baby is excessively bleeding is definitely not the way to keep a lifelong client. He's a horrible person for not even checking up on my son but not only that every time I've been into his office he's been absolutely rude to the trainees. He talks to them like they're dogs. He also had an attitude with my fiancé while my fiancé was addressing him with a question he just seemed aggravated by the question and continue to look at his phone and told one of his trainees to help my fiancé instead of him just answering the question. I could literally go on and on about how horrible this man is but I hope everything that I have put on here has just been enough for everyone to understand that he does not care about your babies. His front office staff is very nice and accommodating. I Really like having a sick child side and a well child side. We had Dr. Minuskin as my son's doctor since he was born. we always loved him. He is such a good doctor however lately my son has been experiencing digestive issues and we want to take him to a gastroenterologist so we can get him checked out. We needed a referral but getting it has been such a pain. the service used to be great from their admin staff, however, in the past year or so they've gotten worse they don't care about the patients. They don't speak to them properly and they are very rude. I was at the hospital just a week ago requesting the referral and I called them a week later to inquire about the referral status and they tell me it will take seven business days for the referral to be complete. I requested them to expedite the referral since my son is miserable and he is suffering on a daily basis and I really need him to get tested out. But I get a textbook response that sorry we can't do anything about it. We only have one staff member and we will get it done in the next few days. There's nothing we can do to expedite it. No empathy no effort to at least see if they can accommodate the request. If you require somebody who cares about your kids, I would recommend not to go to this clinic atleast until service gets better. I have gotten feedback from other parents who visited the doctor and expressed concerns. It's a good place to go. If you don't have any issues and it's general check ups, but if you do have an issue, I would recommend you to go to a different doctor who has a sense of urgency. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOU CHILDREN HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR. I don't even know where to begin... all I can say is LOOK at all of the reviews from the last 3 months! I took my son in a month ago and I couldn't regret it more. I've never had such a horrible pediatric experience. Dr. Minuiskin not only completely dismissed every single concern we had, he did so in such a rude and embarrassing way that even the medical students in the room with him looked disgusted. I could not get out of there fast enough. Also he is ready to push his "fridge full of vaccines" as he called it so keep that in mind. The manner in which he talked to us was disgusting, my husband was so upset at that fact the Dr. dismissed and embarrassed me for my questions and would side talk to my husband as if I did not know what I was talking about. We initially went to Desert pediatrics when it was time to circumcise our son they referred us to a pediatric urologist who refused to allow either one of the parents to be in the room which was completely unacceptable for us we were not turning over our newborn child to have this painful experience with no one there to comfort him so I had to go on the hunt quick because it was very time sensitive I'm so happy I found this doctors office the front desk staff is amazing the doctor is amazing he had no problem with dad being in the room during circumcision in fact he had dad feeding him sugar water to make it easier on baby we will absolutely continue to take our son here read more

We've been to a few, and except one I really liked and moved out of Vegas, none were as good as he is. We actually followed him from his former clinic to his new one that's not close at all to our house, but we just like him so much we had to! Dr. Tal Minuskin is amazing. We moved with him when he opened his own practice: kiddies Pal Pediatrics. He put our minds at ease when we had questions/concerns about everything as it was our 1st born. Dr. Minuskin just doesn't say or do things just because. With that being said Minuskin isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you like to keep things real and honest he is your Doctor! Another huge plus is that if you have concerns on a weekend you just leave a message on the doctor line and he himself will call you back. Haven't had to use this much but it is really nice that he takes the time to call back himself. His office staff is hit and miss, but we understand this as it is hard to find good help and now with covid it can't be easy. His nurse is awesome too. The only down side is that if you don't have a morning appointment there is always a wait as he runs behind. However, we feel this is worth it to see a doctor that takes time with his patients and doesn't rush. read more

My children have been seeing Dr. Minuskin for years since he first moved to Vegas. I have recently decided to seek care elsewhere due to the excess amount of time required to deal with insurance and billing. I have a fairly standard insurance policy and have switched insurance companies twice during the time we've been with this office, so the issue is not isolated to my policy or one particular insurance company. In the last 2-3 years, I have had issues with denied claims after almost every visit, including well-child routine visits that are always covered 100% by the policies. I would then have to spend hours on the phone with the insurance company and the billing manager who is never onsite or reachable by phone during business hours. I have never experienced this with any other medical practice. From my own observation, the claims are not submitted properly, resulting in rejections. The billing manager is not knowledgeable or doesn't care enough to address the errors and automatically pass the balance on to the patients. When inquired, her answer was always I don't know what it was for or I don't know why it was denied. In most cases, I would call the insurance and the insurance would reprocess the claims and have the claims approved. I don't understand why some type of due diligence couldn't be done by the billing office to lighten the burden on the patients. Especially when the office charges $10 per patient for admin fees, I would expect a higher quality of service than other offices that do not. To exacerbate the problem, the office policy is that the doctor will not see the patient (when they show up for the appointment) unless all balances, including the amount in progress or in dispute, are settled with cash right there and then. I don't have a problem with the policy in theory, but the patients should be notified of this balance before physically showing up or they should not be allowed to make an appointment in the first place. I can't help but feel blindsided and held hostage when I am already at my appointment and get surprised by an unknown charge. My options were either to pay an amount I am not sure if I owe (no time to research or address since I'm already at the office) or have my kids not seen by the doctor. On several occasions, I have paid knowing I don't owe the money just so my kids can get medical attention, and it would take months and many calls to get the money back. This last time, I had enough and walked out. Dr. M, if you are seeing this, I hope you can do something to improve the experience of other patients. At a minimum, the patients should be made aware of any outstanding balance when they make the appointment, so they have time to address it prior to coming in, and not be put on the spot for hundreds of thousands of dollars they may or may not legitimately owe. read more

Finally a pediatric office that is so clean an inviting. Me and my wife have tried many of the kid doctors in town and they are all the same owned by corporations. This office is family run by the doctor and you can tell they really care. Positives They get you right in for appointments and there is very minimal waiting. The communication with the staff is awesome. I also love the fact the doctor only gives your kid medicine when they actually need it. We have three boys and Dr Muniskan performed two out of three circumcisions and boy is he the best. My first born went with our first pediatrician given at the hospital and he cried in pain for days when she did it. My other two boys barely whimpered and didn't even cry it was amazing. Dr. Minuskin is one of the BEST physicians we've ever had. We met him after giving birth to our son in 2015 and although we already had a physician, we decided to switch to Dr. Minuskin because of great he was during the newborn exam at the hospital. At the time Dr. Minuskin was employed by another clinic, but as soon as we opened his own we followed him. Dr. Minuskin takes his time with us every time. Even after finishing the baby exam, we sometimes just chit chat with him about random things or world events. He feels like a friend rather than just our children's physician. The staff at his office is also very nice and professional. We've never had any issues with them at all. They are always accommodating to our schedule since they know I work the exact same time they do. Overall, if you are looking for a great physician, I'd definitely recommend Dr. Minuskin. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Minuskin. Since the day he first saw our son in the hospital, his skill and experience was evident. At every visit since then, he has been extremely thorough yet efficient in assessing our little guy. He always asks if we have questions and answers them one by one. He has excellent bedside manner, making both my husband and me feel comfortable. He performed my son's circumcision and it was flawless. Additionally, a shout out to the other staff is much deserved! I want to be clear right off the bat: This is a review about a single doctor, Dr. Tal Minuskin, not the entire KPP office. My wife had just delivered our daughter the night before at Centennial Hospital. We were both exhausted after being up most of the night watching her closely. She was delivered very quickly and still had a lot of fluid in her lungs making it difficult for her to breathe during the night. Needless to say, the next morning we were all tired and quite fragile. Dr. Minuskin burst in the room, obviously in a hurry, and came over to where my daughter was lying swaddled up and sleeping. He then aggressively unwrapped the blanket from around my not even 12-hour-old baby girl and jossled her around like a rag-doll, pushing on her stomach to the point where she purged the breastmilk we had finally gotten her to eat. He lifted her up without bracing her head and neck, then set her back down and undid her diaper to finish the uncomfortable inspection. He said she looked fine and asked if we had decided on a pediatrician yet. Irritated and somewhat in shock, we said that we were still deciding between a couple of different ones, so he handed a business card to my wife and ran out of the room. The whole ordeal lasted about 2 minutes. I can understand if you're in a hurry as a busy doctor, but I strongly believe that patient care, especially of a newborn, must be a priority. We all would have appreciated him taking an extra 3 minutes to slow down and cause less harm. I would not recommend him to anyone I cared about. read more

I do not recommend this pediatrician. Especially, if you're a colored person. I took my newborn baby to his office 2 times, both times he was in a rush and didn't answer my questions or listen to my concerns. He was extremely dismissive and kept trying to leave the room. He suggested that I put my baby on formula without him doing any tests on her, he was supposed to check my babies bottom but he said he will not check her because she "pooped" and he just suggested I stop breastfeeding my baby. The next day I went to another pediatrician and she checked my babies bottom and told me exactly what was wrong with her and what I should do. It's really sad that he gave me the wrong advice without doing his job knowing it can cause more complications for my child. Another thing he did both visits was aggressively check my babies body as if she was a toy or something....by the way, doesn't wear gloves or wash his hands before doing exams. read more

Avoid this doctor, he has no business working with babies. I met with Dr. Minuskin while I was still pregnant. I thought he was great. He was very nice and took time to talk things through with me. Fast forward to our first night home after birth. Overnight, baby developed a fever and was yellowing. We called the doctor's office as soon as they opened and asked for an appointment ASAP. We told the woman on the phone about baby's symptoms and his temperature readings. We were told 3:30pm was the first apt, so we booked. A couple hours later, baby's temperature rose, so we called again. We again explained the symptoms and temperature readings. We were told we would just need to wait until our appointment. We showed up for the appointment and had to wait an hour to see the doctor. He had his nurse weigh and measure baby and then we waited some more. When the doctor walked in, he asked what was going on and we explained. He also looked at the chart and saw that baby had a fever. He suddenly got alarmed and told us we needed to go to the ER immediately. He then proceeded to scold my husband and myself for not going to the ER sooner; telling us that we need to take parenthood more seriously. I explained to him that we had called his office multiple times and that his receptionist had gotten our full story. He then said that no one relayed the message to him - as if poorly trained staff and a lack of communication within his office was okay. He then proceeded to call over a couple medical students that had been shadowing him so that they could examine the baby's acne - even though he told us to get to the ER immediately. When I met with the doctor previously, he had told me that he does rounds at the hospital frequently and that he always visits his patients if they were in the hospital. We spent 4 days in the hospital and never saw or heard from the doctor. The whole incident was terrifying. We put our trust in this man and instead were victims of his poorly managed office and his terrible bedside manner. read more
