I recently came into Sunshine Valley Pediatrics of the first time with my 2 boys and I wanted to say that this might be the best pediatric office we have ever been to. It was really nice looking outside and the inside was very clean. The wait time was so fast that I didn't even finish filling out my new patient forms before we were called back. (I did go quite early in the morning.) We didn't wait long and we saw Dr. Robertson. He was great! I can't say enough good things about how he treated me and my kiddos! He has a wonderful bedside manner and he was super quick to diagnose my son's asthma and even set us up to come back in for allergy testing! I have severe allergies and both my kids unfortunately do too and usually you have to go to a specialist for that... but not here! They have it all available for you in the same office! I can't tell you how relieved I am to have found such a great place that can take care of so many things in-house. It saves so much time and energy. I'm so happy we found this place! read more

I have been to this office since I was 14 years old until I was 22 years old. It might be a little weird for me to this review even though it is a pediatric office lol but I did go to my own appointments for 4 years. I have always seen Dr. Robertson and Dr. Jack and they have been nothing, but great to me. Dr. Robertson has seen all my siblings and we all love him and he treats us like family. We love going to his appointments. We catch up on life, he makes us laugh, and it's just truly a good time. Dr. Jack is truly a great person, he's always listened to everything, understood me, and was always patient with me when I had a problem. Both are exceptional doctors and I wish they could be my doctors forever especially since good doctors are hard to find in Las Vegas, but that's the way it is. After attending this office for two years, I had a change of insurance this year. When scheduling an appointment weeks ago, I informed the receptionist of my new Blue Cross insurance and asked if they wanted the new insurance number. "Oh no, that won't be necessary! Just so it is blue cross, we accept it!" was what I was told. Fast forward to today, one day before the appointment, I receive a voicemail informing me that my new insurance is NOT accepted by this office even though it is Blue Cross. I called the office to discuss and was placed on a "brief hold" that the receptionist never came back to, forcing me to hang up and call back after 10 minutes of being on hold. Finally, I was told that they should have taken the insurance information and informed me about this during scheduling (which doesn't help, because they didn't). Now, I've waited weeks waiting on this appointment being assured the office takes Blue Cross, only to find I have to either pay full price cash or find somewhere else. My advice: stay away, and do not ever agree to being placed on a "brief hold". read more

I've had my issues with them regarding my insurance like a year or two ago, but it was resolved. It was stating out of network and they were trying to charge me out of network, but turns out it was their office that had some type of error with the coding. I do my due diligence and made sure they were in network. It was a bunch of back and forth, which was a headache to deal with at the time, but it got resolved and I'm still with them. Lol. I like that they have the same day appointments for when your child is ill and you need to see the dr. They also have Saturday clinic, which is helpful, because kids don't just get sick on weekdays. Haha. AND the wait times!! They are so good about wait time! You're in and out within an hr of your appointment. If you have to do some test, you'll wait around for results, but that's it. I go to Dr. Laura for both of my kids. She's been my Dr for many years, and I don't find anything wrong with her. I just saw the other review regarding her as a Dr, and I don't think that's a fair review in her defense. A Dr can only go by the symptoms you tell them, then run tests according to those symptoms. That's with every Dr. Overall, and based off of my other experiences with other pediatric offices, I would recommend this one. I purchased a home last year, on the complete opposite side of town, but I will drive here because I know I'll be able to get in and out. Plus, it's hard to find a good consistent doctor in Vegas. I don't get any bad vibes from her and don't have anything negative to say about her. She answers all my questions when I have questions. The office staff has always been nice and friendly. My kids have been sick quite a bit, so I appreciate being able to get in the same day. I also appreciate how the staff is very accommodating; That's how it should be when it concerns kids. The front desk is always prepared for us and his medical assistants are so kind to my daughter. I don't think I can ever put into words how thankful I am for Dr Robertson. Our kids had a different pediatrician at another practice and they weren't seeing patients and were booked for the next couple of days. Our next stop would've been the ER because my 3month old daughter had a fever of 101. Dr. Robertson was able to squeeze us in during his very busy day and checked out our whole family. I was honestly close to calling 911 and dragging my whole family to the ER with how sick everyone was. I could go on and on about how impressed I am with the level of care my family has received at this practice. Needless to say, I transferred my kids over and my 3month old is now 2.5years old! Dr. Laura Weidenfield is a doctor that treats the symptoms not the problem, she has no problem dosing your kid up with antibiotics for 4-5 months straight. That is what she did with my daughter. She prescribed amoxicillin for 4-5 months in a row. The diagnosis she gives are also questionable. She said my daughter had an ear infection. I went to a different doctor the next day for a walk in located in the summerlin location and that doctor said my daughter doesn't have an ear infection. I am telling you first hand, this doctor attempts to treat the symptoms not the problem. This doctor wants repeat customers. They treat the problem, less visits, so she attempts to treat the symptoms which makes you a repeat customer. More $$ read more

I could go on and on about how horrible this place is as far as office management and doctor retention or if you ever need a prescription... but I came here to say one thing that is really hitting me hard. Brought my 11 year old daughter (who is in full swing puberty) to get a urine test for a UTI. She has had them before and I am familiar with the process. Upon viewing negative results, Dr. Eric felt it was appropriate to ask to do a physical exam. Yes, a grown man looking for who knows what in my 11 year old. I couldn't imagine what he would be looking for but it's an absolute no from me. And I'm trying really hard to keep my language clean. Took her to a GYNO the next day and her response to that? "I don't know why he would want to put her through that" -- and she didn't do an exam. She sent her urine for a bacteria culture just to see but came to the conclusion that ultimately, her "time" is approaching. And to be ready. I am disgusted. read more

Dr. Laura and Dr. Hull by far, have been amazing with my 10 month old. Both ladies are very educated and great with kids. This pediatric clinic is big and have two entrances for patients. One side is for sick patients and the other side for well patients and because of cross contamination, that's always been my concern coming into a pediatric office. I love my children's old pediatric doctor but with it being across town, it was beginning to feel like a long drive. We have been coming to the Post Road location since our daughter was born. The staff, nurses and doctors have all been so wonderful to us. We recently, within the past year, had the good fortune of getting set up with Dr. Hull. Our daughter has some seasonal issues, and Dr. Hull has been our guardian angel (insert wings here)! She has given us the tools and knowledge to help manage our daughter's condition, to keep us out of the ER, and to help keep her healthy and happy. She is patient, kind, and has an amazing bed side manner, as do her nurses. She goes out of her way to make herself available in the office and attentive during appointments. She will never make you feel rushed or that your concerns are unwarranted. As a parent, when your children get sick, you feel very out of control. Dr. Hull has helped us feel back in control and is our #1 advocate for our daughter's health and wellbeing. We would not be counting all our blessings if it was not for her. If I could give more stars, I would! We came here for well child visit and spent two hours before we had to leave. We were left sitting in the exam room for a nurse to come vaccinate our child, while staff waited in the office for my kids' vaccination records. You'd think the pediatrician would have written the order for vaccination, but the staff insisted they needed to enter the records into NV system online before they can vaccinate a child ?? We were literally standing by the nurses station as one tech entered the data after 1 hour 50 min elapsed. Staff don't seem to read/follow SOAP note/orders from the pediatrician. All 7 of them sat around the front office collecting vitamins D. Would not recommend. read more

Went to see the clinic prior to my delivery, to our surprise there was meet and greet of the doctor, all the medical assistants and receptionist were all friendly, wish I got all their names. Doctor Hull met us with all joy. She introduce herself, the protocols, and how she handle sick baby. Me and my husband were so impressed. I work in the hospital where she rounds too, the maternity nurses recommended dr. Hull. We will be getting her for our first baby... coming soon. We love Sunshine Valley! We started off seeing Dr Yang at the Summerlin location but transferred over to the Post Rd location when we moved across town. Although we miss Dr Yang and the Summerlin staff, we are very happy with Dr Eric and the Post Rd staff. Everyone is very friendly and they've always been so accommodating with last minute sick visits. My son loves going and, aside from not liking swabs up his notes or shots, looks forward to telling Dr Eric and the nurses he's been a good and healthy boy. read more

My little one is so scared of going to the doctor, and she is a magician. Additionally, Dr. Robertson is fantastic. He is very knowledgable and personable making my son's doctor visits not so scary. We love Dr Robertson and the nurses here! Even the front desk staff is very friendly. Yes there is usually a wait however Dr Robertson never rushes you or makes you uncomfortable for asking multiple questions like most other doctors. He always spends a good amount of time in the room and is thorough so we don't mind the wait! I always feel like they have my daughters best interest and I trust his expertise and opinion when it comes to her overall health. I am extremely sad to say Dr. Hull is no longer practicing at this location. Since then my daughter has not received the exceptional care that Dr.Hull provides and it is heart breaking. I had so much peace and confidence that if my baby needed care that Dr.Hull would be there to help. I changed my sons doctors from Sunshine Pediatrics after a doctor there was having a kid life crisis and turned his back on my son as he was throwing up and said "that is a job for the mama" and exalted my other so. And left me to deal with it on my own. I left in tears and mortified. I would like my sons records and have requested them several times always getting the run around. Everything about this place is horrible. The stuff is rude and unwilling to help. Their prices are ridiculous. I recently lost my insurance, unfortunately my daughter got sick and I had to take her in. They charged $150 just to see her. Then the doctor said she needed to get 3 shots of antibiotics 3 days in a row. I thought I'd only be paying for the shots on the two following days but they forced us to see the doctor each day so that he could collect his payment, even though all he did was walk in and ask if she was doing any better then proceeded to put in the order for the shot. I ended up paying over $300 on each visit, a total of more than $1000 for antibiotic she could've taken by mouth. They know most parents will pay any price to see their kids healthy and they take advantage of it. read more

My son has be a patient of Dr. Robertson's for 3 years now. Great practice only con is the wait time. My suggestion is be the first appointment of the day to avoid long waits. Be prepared to still have a wait even as the first patient. Highly recommend for kids on Spectrum my son was diagnosed at 18month with ASD and ADHD later on, one stop shop avoid dealing with a Psychiatrist who only interest is writing scripts. I would give 5 stars if there wasn't always a wait time despite arriving early. read more

However that being said I've ALWAYS been taken right in when there's been an urgent matter. I was sad to hear that Dr York isn't with the practice but really the only male doctor we need is Dr Robertson Staff is really friendly and most of the doctors are too....I have never taken kindly to Dr Laura however. Dr. Robertson was very disturbingly unprofessional, he came in and focused his time 90% on me and my wife and not my son. He kept going on and on about his previous patients that he treated for Covid-19, politics ( how he hates our Governor and the mask thing,) and he asked us if we were on Facebook and Instagram and we should follow him. He kept calling my wife a cutie he also called a previous cheerleading patient of his a cutie too. A lot of nurses at Summerlin hospital told me not to go to him because of some of these reasons but another reason was because he rushes and misdiagnose his patients and he forgets to spend over the prescriptions he writes. Lone behold he never sent over the medication for my son to the pharmacy. My wife felt very uncomfortable to be around him. The Most unprofessional visit I have ever had with a pediatric doctor. IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH, STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. I changed my pediatrician to come to see Dr. Robertson after being recommended by a good friend of mine. The 1st time I came to this office, I waited over 2 hours after getting my son undressed in a cold office. He was only getting some shots. Dr. Robertson was very rushed and not very friendly. My son did not like him. He diagnosed my son with an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics even though he had no symptoms of being sick. I started my son on them and sure enough after he was done with the 10 day dose he got sick. So, I ended up going to an urgent care and he ended up on antibiotics again. So, I decided I would try this office again. Called-Followed the prompts for the SW location and provided my sons DOB and name. They made me an appointment for the next morning with a doctor I was not familiar with. I was unfamiliar with all the doctors as this was only my 2nd time visiting. Went to the office 15 minutes early. After 20 minutes, I was advised that I made the appointment for the Summerlin Office. Um no I didn't, I made it for SW location. Why the hell would I take my son to another office when he sees doctor Robertson normally. So, they advised Dr. York was working and they would check with him if he could get me in. My son was sick, goo eyes, tugging on ears, low grade fever. Let me add he is only 1 years old. He does not do well sick. So, they finally asked Dr. York and they told me I could wait another hour and they would try to work me in. Or.. I could drive to Summerlin. This was not my mistake, it was theirs and they were punishing me and my son at this point. Let me add, I was there at least 30 minutes and never was there anyone in the waiting room. But, I was going to have to wait another hour. This office is a joke. The office people were jerks, the doctor is overworked and too busy and they will just send your sick kid away as they take breakfast breaks or something. Go somewhere else. read more

I've been with Sunshine Valley Pediatrics for 25 years. I met Dr. Robertson when he came into my hospital room and told me I had a healthy baby boy, he was perfect. He soon began seeing all my children and those that followed. He now treats my grand children also. They love him as much as my boys did. He has always gone above and beyond what a normal pediatrician would. That came to fruition when I developed COVID several months ago. The medical community had let me down and still having trouble my son told me to call him. He answered right away, told me to come in the next day and began aggressively treating me with antibiotics and steroids. With each day that passed I felt better and better. Amazing Doctors! We see Dr. Joanne and Dr. Robertson, and they are both great at what they do and make my kids feel comfortable for visits. I love Dr. Robertson's attitude, always making jokes and making us feel at ease. Dr. Joanne is so genuine, she even called me on my cell phone after a sick visit to follow up and see how my daughter was feeling and asked me to call her If i had any concerns! I am a pediatric nurse and they always meet and exceed my expectations for the care of my girls. I had to dock 2 stars though because they don't bill any secondary insurance and it does get expensive if I don't personally bill my secondary insurance and annoying to have to go out of my way to bill my secondary insurance. Dr. Laura and the entire staff at Sunshine Valley pediatrics (Post location) was great! Brought my son in for his 18month well check and it was a total 180 difference from our experience with another peds clinic in the valley. The facilities are clean, up-to-date and warm feeling. Full lobby at 3pm but everyone was waiting patiently and front desk staff were efficient and knowledgeable. From obtaining vitals, to Dr. Laura's first impression (blowing bubbles as she entered the room) and administering vaccines, everyone knew what they were doing and in the best way to accommodate a wary toddler...helping him to gain their trust and/or just get things done safely and effectively. Our family has been using sunshine valley pediatrics for over 7 years. I was very excited that they opened an office in the SW location because that is closer to where we live. We usually request Dr. Laura who is a phenomenal doctor, after many many years of misdiagnoses by other pediatricians, Dr. Laura came to the rescue of my step daughter. Since then our 2 other kids started going to her as well. When she is unavailable we see Dr. Robertson who is an awesome pediatrician as well. The wait time can take a while at the Summerlin location which is where Dr. Laura and Dr. Robertson are at most of the time because that is the primary location but if I can get into the SW location for either of them i am usually in and out in a reasonable timeframe. I like that the sick children area and completely separate from the well children area (in response to the ladies review below, she probably didn't realize there is another side to the office where appointments are waiting so they weren't taking 'extra breakfast breaks') they are always very busy and dedicated to their patients. Tip: Make sure when you call for an appointment that you specify which location you want first then the doctors availability at that location. read more

Terrible!!!!! I gave birth to my daughter back in September and we had previously met with Dr. Weidenfeld ans thought she seemed fantastic. Hoping that she would be the one to come check the baby in the hospital, Dr. Robertson came. He blew into my room, barely introduced himself as I had to ask 'who are you' before proceeding to tell me everything I was doing was wrong. The chart I was charting for the hospital was wrong, my baby was fussy and dehydrated (she wasn't making a peep). I had clearly told him I wanted to breastfeed and he told me I couldn't and to give my newborn baby 'bad tasting formula' so she would want to drink my breast milk. As you could imagine, after going through a traumatic 4 day labor and c section, to have a doctor come in and treat me this way was absolutely horrific. My family members in the room were so horrified at the way he had treated me and spoke of my day old child we immediately called a hospital nurse in and told them what had just happened and of course, they were appalled. They had told me I wasn't the first person to complain of such behavior from this doctor. They were wonderful and helped me to get a different doctor from an entirely different practice to come back and check on my baby and never allowed Dr. Robertson back into my room. We are now happy with the different pediatrician. Two months later I receive a bill from sunshine valley charging me for his 'visit' and also a baby discharge visit which he never did. The amount of unprofessionalism that this doctor ans this practice has shown is so mind blowing. I am happy to talk to any new mom considering this practice and wants to hear more in detail about my experience with them. I will NOT be paying the bill of course and I will fight it until the end. I wasn't going to share my disgusting encounter with them but this was the straw that broke the camels back. read more
