They now want to put my child on a cancellation list and we won't be seen after one more cancellation. She cancelled my apt first then sent this text about being put on a cancellation list. Not sure what the point would be to come see a child that's feeling better. But that message about my kid not being seen just didn't sit right with me. The team was responsive and arrived at my daughter and son-in-law's home within a few hours. Nikki, a Physician Assistant, demonstrated remarkable knowledge and professionalism while checking my granddaughters. She was very attentive and caring. During the visit, one of the granddaughters was determined to have a normal cold. However, Nikki advised my daughter and son-in-law to take their oldest child to the emergency room due to concerns about her breathing. She was subsequently admitted on Saturday. Although she is on the path to recovery, the doctors today stated they are going to keep her overnight again due to ongoing respiratory issues. Deborah Roy and (I am so upset at myself for forgetting the technician's name!) the technician that she came with was A-MAZING to say the least. I have literally been on such a roller coaster of a ride over the last week and a half with various medical providers, ranging from my sons, pediatricians office, staff, UMC, urgent care, and having to take my son to the pediatric emergency room at UMC per the urgent care. Other than the emergency room, doctors at UMC pediatric ER, Deborah Roy, and the technician from Incredicare Pediatric Urgent Care truly took the time to explain everything to a concerned mother Who has no medical background or experience. After being very disappointed, patronized by my pediatrician's office, and released with lack of information, I called IncrediCare. First off, let me tell you I was very surprised that their van was set up to be kind of like a triage. Both Deborah and the technician examined my son thoroughly while listening to our last two weeks of a series of my son's unfortunate encounter with strep, then hand foot mouth disease that was mistakenly, diagnosed for scarlet fever, etc. etc. my son kept testing positive for strep, and Deborah helped me understand what that meant, that it must've colonized in my son, and that I didn't need to worry about getting him in front of an ENT right away because that was my concern, the ENT Specialist, that I was referred to as well as other known ENTs in the Las Vegas valley were booked out months. I Can keep going on and on about the great care service and bedside manner that this team exemplified. They are definitely on my speed dial For every single time my kids get sick. What a great concept: an at home urgent care specifically for kids. Last week my son woke up having a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. I thought he might have strep throat so we called IncrediCare and they showed up our doorstep that day. They took a swab of his throat and ran the test within the van and it came back positive for strep throat. They ordered the "shot" version of the antibiotics and came back to our house to administer it. I can't begin to describe how convenient this service was. I can't rave enough about this service!! On the first day of school back in August my 6 year old came home feeling a little sick. I thought she was just tired from the long day, but she started coughing more and wheezing pretty badly which she's never done before. We were weighing our options of getting her into her pediatrician which wouldn't be until next day, going to urgent care or even the ER. I then remembered I met a nice woman when I was in line at a store who does the marketing for IncrediCare and had told me about it so I looked It up. They accept many insurances including ours so I gave them a call. It was late in the day, so they only had a 9 pm left but were quickly able to verify our insurance and get us scheduled. They said if they are able to come sooner they will call. Sure enough by 6:30-7 pm they called that they were already in our area and could come sooner. I was able to go into the van with my daughter and it really is a traveling pediatrics office! Dr. Wilkinson was so kind, welcoming and he and the nurse explained every little step they took with my daughter in a way she could understand. They were able to quickly able to assess the problem, give her albuterol puffs, explain everything to me, and get our prescriptions quickly sent to the pharmacy before it closed for the night. They saved me from what could have been a very long night, a trip to the ER, or a much longer sickness. Their quick intervention helped her not have to miss her first week of school. The wheezing was gone almost right away, and my daughter was feeling great the next day. We have other young children and a very busy household, so being able to avoid spending hours in urgent care or ER it's important to us. The fact that such a quick, effective, professional and high quality mobile pediatric urgent care exists is just amazing for our community.
