Been coming here for years. Staff is polite. The only thing that is a pain is that they don't do cavity fillings on Saturdays, so juggling schedules between work, and after school activities is hard . For twice a year checkup appointments it's no problem. I can always get a Saturday for that for I always make the next appointment while at the first appointment They should really consider doing cavity work on Saturdays. read more

A pediatric dentist with a 10-month waitlist for after-school appointments is very frustrating. Since most patients are school-aged children, the limited availability during late afternoon hours is unfortunate. It may be worth adjusting office hours to better accommodate the needs of your clientele. read more

Waited for 2 months for an appointment. 13 mins late because my Son had to have his diaper changed in the parking lot. Get a phone call saying my appointment is canceled. Due to being late. No warning or anything. Just. You're appointments canceled. I'm pretty sure people with KIDS are not ALWAYS on time. Got an appointment at a better place for the following day. read more

We had a great experience here today. I brought in my daughter (3 years old) and my son (7 years old), and both were all smiles the whole time. I especially appreciate Nate who was extremely gentle and positive with my little one. Thumbs up all around. read more

Visit Date: March 1, 2018 I'm not sure why there's so many negative complaints about this office. My husband and I have been here twice with our very young son and both times besides a longer wait time which is typical of most doctor's offices we've had nothing to complain about. I personally think it's a pretty swanky looking office for kids & parents. They have free bottles of water available which I appreciate and they have stuff for the kids to play with which is great because I haven't seen many offices even ones for kids that have a ton of toys in the waiting room area to keep the child occupied until they're called in. Both times they've seen my son they've understood he's very young and they have accommodated his visits accordingly to his age. Unfortunately he has a cavity that has to be treated in April but they are going to put a sealant on it to prevent further decay until he's old enough to stay in the chair for a filling, if he doesn't loose the baby tooth first. The dentist also gave us helpful hints to avoid him getting even more activities and explained different substitutes we can use instead of sugary treats. (Now we just have to hope our care givers who happen to be family members abide by the limited sugar). Overall so far I'm happy with them, if I'm not I'll update my review in the future. read more

The customer service was great. There is pleanty of things for the kids to do while they are waiting such as playing games,reading books or even as simple as looking at the walls and floors that are filled with colors! Waiting area very small. Exams rooms no privacy. Staff was blah, I work in healthcare so I know excellent customer service, their's is blah. My son said he liked the cookie dough flavor toothpaste so he said he would stick with them. Dr. Kellie, I think that was her name, was nice. I had the pleasure of dealing with Tracy, Dom, and Katie yesterday when I brought the kids to Kiddsmiles Pediatric Dentistry. They could not have been better with the kids (who usually do not like the dentist). The kids felt extremely comfortable and everyone in the office was great with them. Tracy, Dom and Katie were all extremely personable. We also did not have to wait long for our appointment. I would recommend this office to anyone who has children. read more

I don't recommend this dentist office at all. They treat people like you're in a factory. The hygienist that saw my daughter was very quick with her responses to my questions. The waiting area is over crowded and no privacy in their exam rooms. To top it off their billing department is full of incompetent employees. I went there in 2012 and they are still sending me bills. My daughter was covered under 2 insurances that were accepted when I made the appointment. But the idiots in billing don't know what the hell they are doing so they figure bill the patient and we will get a payment. I will never, ever come here again!!! read more

First, I would like to say that I thought the dentist and dental hygienist were great.  It was my son's first time at the dentist, and they were extremely friendly.  Based on them, I would give this office a 5 out of 5 rating.  However, I struggled with my rating because I left the office with such a negative attitude that I wanted to give the office 1 star.  If I could rate the experience in the back, it would be a 5.  Based solely on my interactions with the receptionist, the woman who checks people out, and the amount of time I spent waiting to be checked out, I would give the office a rating of 1. The woman at the front desk is horribly rude, and the woman who checked us out spent at least 10 minutes having a personal conversation with the mom of another patient while I waited to be checked out, which wouldn't have been so bad if she actually checked me out right after that conversation was over.  After my son's appointment, the dental hygienist told me to have a seat in the waiting room until I was called to check out.  I waited for around 10 minutes before getting up to ask the receptionist if I had to wait to check out (and to remind them I was waiting).  The receptionist was very rude and sharp with her answer, which was basically that the other woman would get to me when she was free and I should just sit down and wait.  Now, I could hear the women (the woman who checks people out and the mom of another patient) talking about their kids and bribing them to go to camp, etc, so I know the conversation was not pertinent to checking out, but I was not going to interrupt a conversation.  I sat back down to wait like I was told.  Ten minutes later, the other mom left, and I eagerly waited to be called so I could leave.  After waiting a total of 25 minutes, I moved myself closer to the front because I told my son we were just going to leave if we had not been seen after 5 more minutes.  Neither of the women behind the desk was talking to any patients at that point.  After seeing me waiting, the receptionist handed a paper to the woman who checks people out, letting her know that I was waiting.  The woman who checks people out said, "Oh, you can go."  I replied, "So I waited 25 minutes for no reason?"  And she said, "I didn't know you were waiting."  Clearly, there has to be a better system to make sure people aren't left sitting in the waiting room to check out.  She was at least apologetic about having me wait so long, which is a lot more than I can say about the receptionist.   I really like the dentist and dental hygienist, so I will be back, but I hope they get a new receptionist or she changes her attitude.  I will update this review after my other son's appointment next month. read more

I never met a dentist office that my daughter would like to talk about but today was the day she came home after first visit I really appreciate that they're here. Great job guys from the front desk and to the back it was their Halloween Holiday even the Doctor was dressed up. My daughter is looking forward to your next visit. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! After moving to a different town I looked for a closer dentist for my kids so gave this dentist a try. Firstly, when you make an appointment, during the call to confirm the appointment they informed me I needed to come in earlier. The explanation is that the appointment time was the time for my kids to be in the dentist's chair. Who does this nonsense!!! Secondly, one of my sons needed cavities fixed. The follow up appointment was for 2 months later!!!! You would think cavities need fixing as soon as possible to prevent further tooth decay. Lastly, today is the day before the follow up appointment. I called because I was curious if all his work would be done in one visit or if he would need another follow up. Turns out he needs a second appointment to finish fixing his cavities and the next available won't be till next year! So that would put it at over 4 months to fix his cavities. Bottom line they really do not care about your kid!! read more

I've been coming here b/c I cannot find another kids dentist close by but not sure if I will be for much longer. I have two complaints on this location. The front desk and back office are not very professional, they can be rude at times. As someone else said in one of the reviews, how can a children's dentist close at 6pm? The bulk of your clients are in school. Shouldn't it be open at least till 8pm? For children going to school, there's extremely limited appointment space. If you have 3 children like I do, good luck scheduling an appointment within 2 months. The dentists on the other hand have been a good experience. read more

I've been taking my son here twice a year since he's 2 (he's almost 9 now). I would never consider going anywhere else. We have never ever waited longer than ten minutes and everyone there is sooooooo nice! From the front desk to the hygienists to the dentists. Everyone there is so accommodating and my son always feel comfortable there. I'm reading these other reviews and people mention no privacy in the exam rooms- this is a dentist office, why would a child need privacy? I think children feel more comfortable with the openness of the rooms. I can't say enough about the front desk staff! They explain everything regarding insurance and they go above and beyond to make sure you understand what is covered and what isn't. I can't say a bad thing about this place! If they took adults I would go there too! read more

I've been bringing my daughter to the North Babylon location since her first appts as a toddler. The dentists have never been anything but friendly and professional and I have to give both the dentists and especially the hygienists praise for being nothing but kind and patient with my daughter, who is OK with cleanings but hates other dental procedures. Luckily she's never had a cavity. My only issues with the NB office is that there isn't much space in the waiting room for parents to sit, although there are video games to keep the kids occupied, and they do the hard sell on early orthodontia, something I'm not convinced is necessary for most children. read more

Nasty, nasty people. They just lost my business after four years. I have brushed off the nasty receptionist before, hoping that she was having a bad day. (Last time - we were running late. Traffic, school bus chaos - the usual. Even though I called to say we would be 5 minutes late, when we walked in, the woman looks at me and say, "You are lucky I'm not canceling your appointment." Um, excuse me?) She was rude and dismissive again today. Their billing department "lost" one of the insurance plans my daughter was on and when I checked with her to make sure it was all good now, she told me they don't answer insurance questions in the office - that I have to call ahead. She would not answer my question. I had to have another staff member ask her to get an answer. The staff badgers the holy hell out of the kids. A few times ago, they bruised my daughter's mouth by pressing too hard. This time the hygienist made my daughter cry by suggesting she stop using her comfort blanket at night. When I stepped in and said that was not an option, she gave her an "extra prize." Too late...you already made a kid cry. There is no place for the parents to sit, so you are forced to pop in and out of a hallway to answer questions. An awkward way to spend an hour, to say the least. We will be going to our family dentist now. We will sacrifice rubber balls and rooms painted like outer space for calm, compassion and good customer service. read more

I am appalled at this office. Each time I go there, there is one issue after the next. Most recently, I went yesterday and they told me I had no appointment. Now why would I show up to a doctors office, during spring break, with no appt?! Then the very, very rude office manager told me that I need to update them over the phone of any changed insurance. I obviously did...but it was lost in their glitchy system along with my appointment. While my daughter had her teeth cleaned, one of the hygienist told me that lost appointments have been a "major problem" and she hopes the front desk will "sort it out soon." Upon leaving, the billing girl (I'll say girl bc she acted like a rude child) asked me to sign a paper for payment before even putting it past both my Insurance's. When I asked her to run both before signing, she legit snatched the paper out of my hand. She then began talking to me, while not making eye contact and staring at her computer screen, and then barked "can you HEAR me?!" Well, clearly her social skills are limited and I didn't realize that she was speaking to me and not her PC. I will not be returning to this office ever and I suggest that if you are looking for a pediatric dentist...please look elsewhere. My daughter must have a cavity fixed and I would never trust these people to perform any medical procedure on her. Dr. Michelle...we have never met...but I encourage you for the sake of your business, do not put such rude office staff at your front desk, it's a true turn off. read more

I was very disappointed with this Dental Office. I don't usually write review but this dentist office sent me over the top. First making an appointment wasn't such an easy task because they don't have much flexibility. Also because of my daughters age she couldn't be seen in certain days (weekends and evenings), which is hard to believe since you would think a PEDIATRIC DENTIST office would be flexible around children school schedules and this place is NOT. They do not offer any late nights and are only open till 1 PM on Saturdays for certain age groups. My first time there we arrived early checked in and were still stuck waiting an hour and a half just to be seen, when I was there there was another parent there with her child who had special needs which she had informed them of when making the appointment and upon checking in she asked if they were running on time and they told her yes, she too was stuck waiting for almost 2 Hours when she questioned the front desk they told her she was next and to be patience because they were running behind. She was so upset because she had asked them before checking in and they told her that her wait would not be long. When we went in the hygienist was nice and explained everything to my daughter. The Dentist came in next and saw my daughter for a total of 2 mins and then left leaving no time for questions. Horrible bed side manner which is sad because they work with children and the staff is very stand offish. Any time I asked a question the girls at the front desk would give me an attitude and then give me the run around saying they can relay my questions to the Dentist and have her get back to me. I have yet to receive a call from them. VERY DISAPPIONTED with this office. We will not be returning to this facility. read more
