Have tried this place a few times and every time it seems like there is something wrong with my son haircuts. I took my son right before Christmas. Arrived early to my scheduled 10am appointment and there was only one person cutting hair with one person in the chair. I waited and I was up next. The lady asked if I had an appointment and I informed her that I did. She stated that she had an appointment at 10 as well. Reluctantly, she said that she would cut my son hair. I informed her that I wanted a 1 at the top going into a 0/1 with no lining. Needless to say she cut a lining in the back of my sons hair and it still hasn't grew back yet. This is establishment can can use a bit more professionalism and follow directions when a parent is informing the staff how to cut their child hair. read more

Real disappointed I just got charged full price for a 2-min. trim. Also they didn't offer us to save the hair of our daughters first cut (although we should have mentioned we wanted to when they asked us if it was her first cut). We are repeat customers and also got our sons hair cut at the same time, was it really that important to line your pockets that much. I'd like to give zero stars if I could My son has down syndrome and Debbie was his hairstylist for that day to give him a little boy haircut she didn't have patience to attend to a child with down syndrome/autism I even asking in advance if she had experience with children that have disabilities her reply was YES My son has been getting his haircut regularly since he has been two years old and it does take a little bit of extra time and patience I take him to Supercuts in Vacaville however this particular day I needed his haircut for a engagement party that we were attending and his stylist was unavailable , so I chose this salon that they supposedly specialize with children and picked the salon I expressed to her that she needed to be very careful showing him the scissors because he would move and maybe she just became frustrated and swiftly put my son in a what I would call a headlock!!! She got behind him put her forearm around his face pulling him into her chest holding his head tightly to her body with her other hand she used the scissors to cut his side burns the hair that was sitting slightly below his ears I asked her immediately to stop and let him go however she continue to make the cut and just butchered his hair I stopped her Immediately by pulling my child away and said STOP PLEASE NO more I was in utter disbelief!! I just paid the bill and left and of course leaving zero tip I should've paid nothing but I was so distraught I just wanted out and I did not want her to accuse me of not paying for services!! I called the salon several times and left a message for a management/owner to please call me back and I have never yet heard anything from Managment or the owner!!!!! I just can't believe the experience that my son and I had in this salon!!! read more

So I used to come here all the time with my son until I had a experience just like amber in the other reviews! It was just beyond terrible. I was so mad! And it's not like he was being fidgety or anything he loved the atmosphere and sitting in the chair, toys, etc but it was just bad haircut after bad haircut. After a few times of being disappointed I decided ok, this isn't the place for me and decided to go to a actual barber shop and boy... can you see the difference! It is a little more expensive at a regular barber shop but it's definitely worth the extra money for a awesome haircut. I took my 18 month old here for his first haircut. I went here because I assumed they'd be good with kids. My little guy was terrified but sat calmly. She didn't talk to him or do anything to try to help him feel more comfortable. She didn't introduce herself to us or wear a badge so I don't know her name. The cape they used was super dirty with other people's hair. The cut was super uneven. I'm really bummed out, I took him here because I wanted his first haircut to be a special experience but instead it was just a downer. It's a cute salon and perhaps the experience would have been better with a better stylist, but unfortunately we won't be returning. read more

This was a great place to take my son to get his haircut. The hairstylist was nice but somewhat quiet. Although, she did put my son at ease by asking him simple questions. My son thought the Barber seats were "Awesome!" They had airplanes, Jeeps, cars, rockets and other types for the kids to sit on while they get they're haircuts. They gave an alright haircut to my children. But the place was a complete dump! Flies everywhere, dirty toys and cars to sit in and i found a dead roach in the play set. I hand sanitized my kids before leaving and washed them up when we got home, but later on at bed time both kids were vomiting. I should've left as soon as i walked in. That place needs a deep cleaning, it's disgusting. read more

Take the bad reviews here to heart. They are not exaggerated in the least. The haircuts my two grandsons got were just awful. One didn't notice at first because mistakes were deftly covered by sweeping hair to the side. Deborah should not be cutting children's hair. Her cussing and demeanor totally not what you want for children. Owner of this salon should have better sense. Will not be returning here ever. read more

Kids carousel cuts did a amazing job cutting my 4 year old sons hair! He usually screams and cries when he goes to a regular barber shop but not here! He didn't cry and he loved the airplane chair he sat in to get his hair cut. The lady who cut his hair was so kind and patient! She gave him a lollipop,talked to him and reassured him that it wouldn't hurt the whole time! Wreck it Ralph was on which helped distract him too. She took her time and made sure his hair was trimmed right. She was the older blonde lady ( I think she's the owner) The salon is a very kid friendly atmosphere with toys and a castle for the kids to play in while they wait. She was very unprofessional and under the influence of medication, as she told me so. As a mother and a healthcare prescribing provider in the area this is not safe practice. Took my 5 year old with long, thick hair. They took about 6 inches and the result is awful- super uneven -varies in length from one side to the other by at least a half inch or more :( she didn't even brush through the hair, part it, or anthing. We will need to pay someone else to fix it, and we will not be back. read more

Took my four year old to get a bang trim. Once there I decided to get a trim on her entire hair. The lady who cut her hair rushed and did a horrible job. Her bangs are too short and very crooked. Her hair is also extremely crooked. I usually take her to jcp salon and figured kids carousel would be a good alternative because they cut kids hair for a living so they must know what they are doing... I was wrong. Horrible mistake complete waste of money. Now I have to wait till it grows out a little and pay again to get it fixed and in the meantime stuck with crooked bangs. This place sucks. Don't bring your kids here. I've only been here a couple times. And this was my last. Everytime I come we end up with the blonde haired girl Debra. She is horrible. Never listens to what I want she does what she wants. It's never cut evenly. I asked her to fix it so she trims a bit more and it still is uneven. She needs to go back to cosmetology school. I brought my daughter to have her haircut at Kids Carousel Cuts because I thought it would be the best decision since my daughter just turned 4. The haircut my daughter received by Deborah was absolutely awful. I went back the next day for them to fix her hair, and another woman fixed it as best as she could. It still looked awful, and was uneven! I refused to go back and let them touch her hair anymore! I then went to another hair salon to see what they could do. They did an exceptional job on both my boys (ages 2 and 3). They have those neat themed seats for the kiddos to keep them distracted, not to mention our stylist was very patient and took her time reassuring my children. They even have a play-castle with a small slide for your children to play on (we showed up early so the boys could distract themselves playing, and the child not getting his haircut could play!). They even had a kid friendly show on the TV that my children watched while getting their hair done. If I wasn't moving away next month I would continue to bring my kids here! Highly reccomend! I have now been twice. The first time I was not too happy with the quality of the cut, I think I have a prior review. But I decided to give it another try. My son is extremely adamant about NOT getting his hair cut. He seems to be okay with this place, the play structure, though it's nothing fancy, suits him. He also enjoys sitting in the toys while having his hair cut. The second time around I was much more pleased with the cut. I did however give more instruction as to what I was looking for! read more

The environment was great. Perfect place for the little ones. My issues is the haircut sucked and the lady was kind of rude. Awesome place!!! We've been here a few times and we love it! Super cute little cars and planes to sit in for the babies. She always has cartoons or a kids movie on to distract. It's best if you go on a weekday to avoid a busy crowd. We've had both karissa and Tammy cut my son's hair and they have done awesome jobs! Well, my boy's hair is forgiving since its thick and curly. My kids enjoy coming here but I've noticed that the current owner does a quicker, more sloppy job. Her cuts seem choppy and my kids' face and clothes get covered in hair, (there's no way I can continue any more errands without taking them back home and fixing them up first). I've also noticed she tends to miss cutting pieces so they end up with random long strands I'll snip later.
