do not order directly from kiehl's, invariably the ups free shipment goes to usps, if you're lucky it takes 2 weeks to receive or shipment gets lost. to order their products online use a retailer to avoid this aggravation. kiehl's customer service is useless in trying to assist given their choice of courier assignment (ups to usps), you can no longer track once it transfers to usps. what a nightmare !!! read more

Ever since I attended the Kiehl's Yelp event last year, I've been in love with their skincare products. They had a friends and family sale and decided to take advantage. I placed my order online for pickup at their Brooklyn location. I like the look of the store and the employees are helpful but not aggressive. I love their Ultra Facial Cream and their Calendula toner. They always give samples--so you can test out their products before you buy. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her exactly my suitation, she then did a consultation, After finding out my skin type. She then started to show me some products which would be a good fit to my skin. After giving a littlE trouble I then decided upon some supplies. I actually visited this location to pick up samples for a Yelp Event, however, this review will just be about to the customer I received there while visiting. I was welcomed by a nice young woman who helped me with my skin consultation and free samples. This actually wasn't my first time using Kiehl's products. I always bought them through Sephora. They're pricey products but they do make you feel like a million bucks, leaving your skin so soft and refreshing. For my skin consultation, I received a number of samples for the recommendations according to my skin type. Although, I never received my copy of the report, it as good to know just by the scan of a area of the skin you can tell so much! It was percentages of how much moisture you retain in your skin versus how much of it is dry. The store was very probably organized, with a fresh smelling aroma to it. I came here to try some products and get some advice for my facial skin type . A friend encouraged me to come here since he uses Kiehl's himself and they do have a wide variety of men's (beauty) products. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of their products. They answered all my queries sincerely and did not give me a hard sell. but instead, they gave me few product samples that will last me for weeks. Hence, I will be able to tell if the products work their magic on me. Before we left, me and my friend took the opportunity to pose at the free photo booth inside the store. Fun!! At the end of the day it is always the customer service that makes my shopping experience so much fun and nice. I will definitely be a regular visitor here. I've come to this location quite a few times over the year but this visit was probably one of the best. I didn't expect them to be so busy on Tuesday afternoon but here we are. Both both associates were quite friendly and let me know they would be with me soon. The store was clean and the energy was great. All the customers all the customers were engaged aged as well as the employees. I was able to check out a display with one of the new products while I waited. About 10 to 15 minutes later it was my turn to be helped. Lance Lance took my information down for or the Yelp event that would be coming up and gave me special attention to attention to address the issues I'd been experiencing with my skin. Due to the parking issues in the area my meter would soon be be up, so I plan to return to gay A skin analysis to see better what is going on. Changing my toner and moisturizer is the plan. Ordered online and picked up here. Was supposed to get a free gift spending above $135. Didn't get it, so contacted customer service and they said tough luck it's while supplies last. I spend more just to get the gift. Deceptive marketing. I wrote the below email to them, and manager was supposed to get back to me because the rep was unfortunately not helpful in justifying my not getting the gift as advertised. But nothing, no response. I want to return the products I bought. But I can't return it to the store, and was told I'd have to send back online at my expense. I am not losing a cent due to their deceptive marketing, because this is what it is. I will instead use the products I'm stuck with, which will just solidify in my mind the bad taste they left in my mouth with their deceptive marketing and even worse customer service. The is My email to Kiehl's: I had made an order online on Nov 22, with a deal for a free gift(facial kit) for orders over $135. I spent a total of $164.83. I picked up my order at this store on 11/25/2020 and the gift was not incl used with the order. I called customer service, and spoke to one of your representatives who told me that it was a limited offer while supplies last, and that there's nothing she could do because the promotion was over. She further advised that I should have read the fine print that explains this. I cannot accept that this is the answer I was given. I purchased more items to reach that $135 threshold specifically to get the free gift. And to not get it and be told that it's while supplies lasted, that's like telling me order $135 for a chance to win a free gift. If supplies ran out, the promotion should have been taken down. I have not yet heard back, and I'm anxious to resolve this. I want to open them and used the products I bought, but I have not decided what I will do with them yet. I may return them if this is not resolved adequately because the answer given to me has left a bad taste in my mouth. It seems to be a deceptive practice to entice people to spend more, and then pull a stunt like this. I expect at least the free gift especially since I have to deal with the aggravation of wasting my time to have to resolve this. Please let me know ASAP how this will be resolved so I can decide what to do with my purchase. ----- They are awful with customer service. So I'm basically screwed by their deception. I have visited this location 3 times in March 2021 alone. The courteous, friendly, and quick customer service I received from T.J. will have me coming back as well as recommending this location to, family, friends, and acquaintances. With constant washing of hands and use of hand sanitizers our hands get very dry as well as peeling. T.J. recommended using a drop of hand salve to remedy the dry skin situation and it was spot on. Today, the did not have the 7.8 ounce tubes in stock so I just picked up 3 tunes of the 5. Ounce tunes. When it is safe for the staff to demo products again...I will come on and try out some of the other products. This location is so convenient to work, home, and places friends and I meet up at. Love this Kiehl's location, and Olive the dog often drags me here on our walks. They have a full line of Kiehl's products--as opposed to the department-store shops--and if they don't have a sample packet of a particular product, they'll make one up for you--just like the old days. I usually don't buy anything at this location, simply because the flagship 3rd avenue store is so much closer to my home. My dog even has a Kiehl's T-shirt. They have a photo booth here, and I've taken Olive in there a few times, but she doesn't like the flashing lights. We're working on that. read more

She continued to try and sell us other products we didn't want. Skip this place and order online. So aggressive! Cool your heels when people come in trying to purchase products they already like. This location is beautifully put together. The employees aren't overly in your face, checking on you every two minutes or pushing the products unless you ask, so I appreciate that. I saw a sign in the store that said with a 5 minute consultation you get five free samples, and I realized, why not? I had virtually little to no understanding of my skin type, so it couldn't hurt to do the consultation and see if I'm even buying the right products. Don't let the word consultation hold you back on this - I'm really glad I did it. Yes, they do these to sell their products, but if you're already planning to buy them then a consultation can only benefit you. Nancy was super friendly and helpful the entire time. After a few quick skin tests (checking oily vs dry skin, hydration, etc.), she brought over five different products that would be good for my skin and walked through what each one did, what order to use them in, etc. I ended up going with a couple of them and then, on top of the five samples I got (that she tailored to my skin type as well), she also said that I got a free Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask for doing the consultation. It was a really cool bonus that showed they really believe in their products and want you to try them out to see if they work for you. Loved this location and will definitely be back! read more

The most important thing is this: they've got the goods, and those goods are skin care products by Kiehl's, widely known to be among the best out there. Before I visited this location, I'd only shopped at the Kiehl's flagship in Manhattan, which is a great store. This location has a different vibe. It's smaller and flashier, set up to look like a retro-futuristic lab. You can anonymously browse the shelves of the flagship, but not here. The staff is a few feet in front of you as soon as you come in the narrow door, which they watch with a laserlike focus. The day I visited, three people were working there and there were no customers, so there was no way I could just dash over to the shelf and get what I wanted without being apprehended. I realize that it's good customer service to greet the customer and help him and direct him to products that might interest him, so I can't fault them for offering that. But for my part, that's not how I like to shop. If I want help, I'll ask for help, and a good store will be able to give it to me. But when I saw the three employees in their white labcoat costumes, I felt sure the upsell was coming, and I dreaded it. Kiehl's has high prices to match its high quality, and I definitely did not want to leave the store with a brand-new, multiproduct skin-care regime and a groaning credit card. "I need a scrub!" I declared with authority, trying to cut off any attempts to diagnose my skin's needs. The guy took me over to what I suppose is the men's section and asked "Have you used our products before?" As I answered that I had, I saw the tube of facial scrub that i'd researched on the Internet earlier in the day and announced that it was what I wanted. He was a little surprised by my certainty, so I explained my savvy pre-shopping research. He didn't try any upsell, but in my frantic effort to avoid a sales pitch, I forgot that I also needed moisturizer. So I guess I'll be back! The scrub is great. Everything I've ever used from this brand is great. It's a swanky addition to Montague Street, and they are ready to lavish their attention on you. read more

Welcome to Brooklyn Kiehl's. This store was very spacious and airy. You'll find all your favorite products here, and the sales associate was more than helpful. My favorite products include their Ultra Facial Cream and Strengthening and Hydrating Hair Oil-in-Cream (good for curly/natural hair ladies!) On my recent visit, I only stopped in to recycle some old bottles--they have a recycling program and when you return ten full size empty bottles, you get a free travel size product. I also left with a sample--if you are ever on the fence about a product, ask for a sample. I know I'll be returning this weekend to make a purchase! read more

Nancy greeted us as soon as we entered the shop.. We asked for full evaluations of our skin care routines because we both have skin issues going on. Nancy was wonderful.. Evaluated us, took a LOT of time explaining the science and technical side of skin care (Very impressive ) , then made her recommendations of products based on what we said how much time we were willing to commit to actually do in our routine. She was cool, answered all of our questions, said it made no sense selling products we wouldn't use to us, never any pressure to purchase.. Highly recommend you stop and check in with Nancy and the other team members, see how they can help you. I've been a user of Kiehl's products for some time now particularly their shampoo and conditioner. I came here to use some coupons, which they send regular customers and also to get some travel sized products for my upcoming trip to Japan. All of the employees were helpful without being overbearing and let us explore the store. When one product we wanted wasn't available in a TSA approved under 3 ounce size they gave us several samples. This was excellent and we left home feeling ready for the upcoming 15 hour flight. read more

Emily saved this review from getting one star. I normally order their products online and decided to go in there yesterday because I had a few questions. I walked in and there was a guy organizing products closest to the door and another guy walking around. Emily was at the register with a customer and once I got to the rear of the store, she kindly said hello to me and that she'd be right with me once she's done with her customer. The other two guys didn't look at me nor did they greet me. That was very disturbing. Seeing as though their products are super expensive and the chance of someone visiting their location and NOT buying something is very slim. That was a complete turn off and even made me not want to purchase their products ever again. Again, Emily saved the day. She answered all my questions and even if I stumped her, she found an answer for me and even up-sold me another product I didn't even go in there for. She rang me up, signed me up for reward points and gave me some samples of another product she introduced me to. I appreciate her level of professionalism and that MIGHT keep me as a customer. Coming from a management background, each employee there should have been trained and coached to greet every customer within 10 seconds (5 for smaller locations) and have been able to engage with new guests and re-engage with the current guests. If I have any more questions, I will either call customer service or call/visit Emily at the store. She's a rockstar! Oh, and if you're looking for parking in that area, have patience and/or have someone to wait in the car if you're sitting at a hydrant. read more

No complaints here. Reliable location near my office where I can get exactly what I need. Very convenient to pop over around lunch and get my go-to's: best shaving cream in the game (seriously you can feel the difference one million percent), mens facial fuel (both face wash AND moisturizer - does this have like menthol in it or something???), after shave, chap stick, even the cologne is incredible. Staff are so helpful and nice, this is just a very high end shoppe and a QUALITY brand that is affordable and cool. They have made me a customer for life, I couldn't image going back to CVS and getting some generic cvs brand moisturizer lol. Maybe a little spoiled but what are you gonna do!? Went to Kiehls to find a new face wash and other skin products. Was in the market for something new and figured Id give it a try. Was greeted immediately and was helped by Brian. He was absolutely wonderful. He asked me what I was looking for and sat down with me to show me all of their products. He explained every one of them in detail and I never felt pressured to purchase anything I didn't want or need. He gave me different options on how in depth I wanted to get on a skincare routine. There were alot of products I could have opted to purchase which was way more than I was using at the time. But he explained every one and when and how I should use them. At the end, I decided on a couple products to purchase and try out, again with no pressure from him whatsoever. He was great to talk to and even gave me a bunch of samples at the end of things I didnt purchase, just to see if liked them and might want to try them out in the future. read more
