As a young lady who just washes her face and go, never really look to take extra care of her skin, so my skin would always be dry. I kept walking pass kiehl for quite sometime and kept telling myself I should go in. Today I grew some balls and walked in, I was greeted by a young lady with glowing skin named Allison. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her exactly my suitation, she then did a consultation, After finding out my skin type. She then started to show me some products which would be a good fit to my skin. After giving a littlE trouble I then decided upon some supplies. Although it's a bit pricey my first thought was well "good thing isn't cheap" and "cheap thing isnt good" lol. So I after spending a certain amount i got 5 free samples of different things to try. I'm definitely excited to try the products.

I have been to this location a few times and I had a great experience. Lance was very friendly and outgoing. He made me feel comfortable and not rushed at all. He gave me a skin consultation and explained the results while making product recommendations.

Free cute photo booth inside the store.

I came here to try some products and get some advice for my facial skin type . A friend encouraged me to come here since he uses Kiehl's himself and they do have a wide variety of men's (beauty) products. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of their products. They answered all my queries sincerely and did not give me a hard sell. but instead, they gave me few product samples that will last me for weeks. Hence, I will be able to tell if the products work their magic on me. Before we left, me and my friend took the opportunity to pose at the free photo booth inside the store. Fun!! At the end of the day it is always the customer service that makes my shopping experience so much fun and nice. I will definitely be a regular visitor here. Especially now that I enrolled for their loyalty rewards program.

What a great opportunity to spend the day pampering myself at home. Through an offer from Kiehls the Yelp Elite crew are able to get an offer to try samples. While there is no huge before and after photo, my skin feels great.

I immediately went straight for the Ghibli Studio stuff in the back of course to see what kind of Totoro items they may have. It's not the biggest and most spacious but very decently sized place. Found two super adorable Totoro insulated lunch bags so of course I've to get them, I mean they're just too cute not to get them anyway. The total rounds up to be close to $38. They accept both credit/debit card and cash as forms of payment. Staff is friendly and fast service since there's never a line. Stuff can get pricey depending on what you wanna buy. However, I think their prices are actually pretty reasonable and way cheaper compared to other websites and Amazon in my most honest opinion. I always want to stop by this place wherever I'm around East Village/St. Marks Place.

I bought some lotion from them, and a while later (a month or so), my wife noticed black mold growing on the top. Pretty horrifying, because I hadn't noticed, and I'd been putting it on my face! Yuck. I brought it back, to tell them about it, not to ask for my money back, which I made clear. I just thought they would want to know. The salesperson called the manager to come over, who was excessively argumentative about it. "Let me explain something to you about our products," he said. "Our products do NOT grow mold." It was a little like the old, "who are you going to believe?" joke, since mold was growing right on top of the lotion, and we could both see it. And he just wouldn't stop. I kept telling him, I don't want to discuss this, I just thought they would want to know, I was just trying to be a good samaritan for one of my favorite stores. And he kept arguing. "Mold is caused primarily by moisture," he said at one point, as though he thought I was very stupid. Finally I said, "I'm going to ask you to stop talking." And he wouldn't! So I had to say it again. This all bothers me for two reasons. First, I thought the guy was defensive and insulting. Why disbelieve me? Did he think I brought some kind of fake moldy lotion to his store because ... why? He should have just thanked me for letting him know. Second, I thought they SHOULD care that their lotion grows mold! So the manager doesn't care about quality control, and he has an attitude problem. I don't feel that I can trust their products anymore, and unfortunately I cannot go back. It's too bad, because I used to love this store.
