Sisley Paris boutique on Bleecker is not a store, it is an experience. From the decor flown in from Paris, to the original artwork on the walls that inspired the artistry on the perfume bottles, the attention to detail is phenomenal. Drop in for some tea or champagne or an event where you might receive a shoulder massage while learning about self care. In French there is a special word for self care in personal cosmetic application, "soin de beauté"- literally meaning beauty care (sounds better in French right?). The entire concept behind the products and the experience in store is centered around this idea of "self care" - a better translation. First- the products. Every product I have tried and used has proven results. Yes, the products are at a higher price point. However, they are worth every penny. Think about how much you spend at Sephora on the "next best item". Throw them out. One item is all you need all year at Sisley for each part of your beauty regimen. Each product is specially formulated to give specific results to aid your skin in healing itself. Every product is plant based. Every product is the result of years of research. Why such attention to detail? Because Sisley is independent. It is family owned. Almost every other product on the market is owned by about 3 or 4 large cosmetic conglomerates ( even La Mer), who are publicly traded and must answer to shareholders. What does that mean for your skin? Products that are diluted or changed for a larger profit margin to create quick fix "results" that aren't healthy for your skin in order to roll out the next product for the next quarter earnings. Enough about finance - the fact that it is family owned means that each product is the result of craftsmanship - something that resonates throughout the entire experience. Bottom line- these products deliver results. How many eye creams have you purchased in the last year? Think about that. It makes economic sense to invest in one that *works* rather than trying 3-4 that don't. Second- this boutique does not push products. The "vendeuses " (sales people) and the makeup artists carefully assist in curating a skin care (or makeup) regime that works for your skin's needs and your budget. They give out copious samples so you can see results before you buy. They truly want you to be happy with your skin and work with you to give you glowing skin one product at a time in a way that is healthy and makes sense for your skin. They provide facials as well and Danielle, my esthetician has taken care of my skin for years now. I cannot express enough how much care she gives to each facial and how amazing it is to have someone "follow" your skin's needs and help with products or pro-tips on how best to take care of your skin. Do I recommend this boutique? Yes, a million times over; the products are the best in the business, the team is gracious beyond compare and the entire experience at the gorgeous boutique is unparalleled in the city. We had so much fun here. We were attended by Fred, who gave his everything to help us find the right lipstick color. He made me try all of them out and had the patience to stick to the end. The store is amazing and so much more than just selling the product but offering beauty treatments from LED light therapy to massage. Sisley customer service says that they're helping and doing the best they can , but the fact is I still don't have the eye cream. Their process is extremely cumbersome and a complete Black hole . Went to Sisley using a voucher for the NYC signature 60 min facial at $99 (normally listed at $200). Given the well-known Sisley name I have to say I was disappointed. Definitely did not get a full 60 min--I arrived almost 10 min late after being stuck in traffic (my bad) but there was no one waiting for an appointment afterwards so she could have accommodated if she wanted to--also Liz (who did the facial) gave a long amount of time to undress, and at the end spent a good amount of time telling me about products to buy, which all ate into my facial time. The facial itself was not all that impressive--just cleansing, exfoliation, some extraction & then serum/moisturizer. The extraction was unpleasant, as is to be expected, and I was surprised that Liz used tissues & her fingers to do it (other places I've been have used tools). Also the description on the website states that a scalp & leg massage is included, which was not done (though she did give a nice hand/arm massage). I don't really see why they would charge $200 for this normally, as I've had many much better facials at high-end places that included oxygen, microdermabrasion, light therapy etc for less than that. Maybe they value their products that highly--which is possible since when she was trying to sell me the products afterwards they were all over $200 (the moisturizer was over $400)! Speaking of the products, I was a bit annoyed that she was trying to push them while I was still laying on the table, I actually said let me get dressed before we discuss! I told her that I have reacted to various skincare products I've bought in the past, so it might be better to give me a sample to try first so I know which one suits my skin. She said they are botanical so I wouldn't have any problems (which is nonsense, ask any dermatologist and they will tell you that you are more likely to react to "natural" ingredients, just like we have food allergies to natural foods and allergies to flowers/pollen etc). Sure enough once I got dressed & took a look in the bathroom mirror, my face looked oily but also had red itchy patches. I pointed that out to her & she didn't really say anything. In any case, she was disappointed I wouldn't buy right then or book another facial and didn't give me any samples to try. Note that this is a small store, not a spa like they have at the Carlyle--from what I see online this facial seems to be the only thing they do here and it is done in a single room in the back, so maybe the main purpose is to sell the products in the store. The room itself is tiny, though I do like that the table is heated. It's been several days & I don't see any improvement--not smaller pores, not more hydrated/better feeling skin etc. Personally I don't think $200 for this facial would be worth it, but maybe they treat people with vouchers differently or the other aestheticians are better since the other reviews on here are pretty glowing. Not that my experience was terrible, just found it okay/ordinary and have had much better facials elsewhere. read more

Ooooh Sisley!! Where to start..? My aunt was always raving about their products, and one day, she made me try the eye mask..it was love at first sight. Their skincare products are just amazing; that's all I use now. One of my favorite is Emulsion Ecologique. It's so light and easy to apply, and it leaves your skin so soft! I'm so glad that they finally have a boutique in NY. I went there this weekend as soon as I found out, and I received a complimentary facial! The staff was so nice. I recently discovered their make up collection which is pretty amazing too (I can't remember the name of the mascara that I love but it's amazing!). Can't wait to go back! read more

I needed a facial to start off my 2018 so I found this Sisley 90-min Black Rose Youth Facial on Travelzoo. The Original price is $300 but there was a promotion for $199 and they give you a complimentary 2.1 oz Black Rose Cream Mask at the end which, if you buy the mask alone it's like $162. Honestly, this is the second time I ever gotten a facial and I normally don't like facials but this was a game changer. It was so great I nearly fell asleep. Aside from how comfortable the esthetician made me feel, she also did a wonderful job during the black head extraction. My face was glowing afterwards and my pores definitely tightened up a lot. The staff members were super super friendly. I had to wait for another 90 min for my sister to finish and the time passed so fast because the makeup artist was teaching me some awesome tricks. My first appointment was through Spa week. It was a bargain and Danielle was really awesome, so I decided to buy another facial on the spot. When I called to schedule my second appointment and asked for Danielle again, my only option was weeks in advance, but I really liked her, so I booked it. The weeks passed as they always do and I showed up for my facial to discover that they have changed the schedule around and had a different esthetician on duty. I mentioned I had an appointment with Danielle, but they just shrugged their shoulders and no one bothered to apologize. The facial was fine (very different actually, but also good!), but I was already annoyed and then the manager didn't feel very sincere and kept saying the same exact sentence verbatim to everyone coming out the treatment room: "you look great, just glowing!". I booked my facial with the esthetician Danielle and couldn't be happier!! Danielle was so sweet, she made me feel comfortable immediately and she was extremely knowledgeable about the products. SISLEY! Where to start?! I discovered the Sisley Paris Boutique on Bleeker Street last year and now I wont use anything else on my skin!! The products are so beautiful (I'm obsessed with the Sisleya face cream and eye cream and the Rose oil). All the products make your skin feel, and look, healthier, happier and younger! After getting more acquainted with the Sisley brand through the hotel in which I stayed during a recent trip to St.Barth's (Hotel Christopher...has a magnificent Sisley spa...locals say it is the best on the island!), I decided I had to check out the NYC flagship of this ultra-luxe skincare brand. I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. The décor of the store is magnificent. Incredibly elegant without feeling stuffy. Walking into the store on Bleecker Street, you feel as if you've taken a small trip to Paris. The staff was helpful, and nice. I was looking to buy a face wash I had read good reviews about on intothegloss.com, and ended up going back to the store two days later to stock up on a perfume and face toner as well. Because I spent $150, I will be getting a complimentary facial. I have yet to schedule this...but I can't wait! Will post on YELP about how the facial goes! read more

I came here for a facial during Spa Week, and let me say, even $50 is too much to spend on a facial here. The room itself was nice and pleasant, but that's about it. I think my aesthetician actually worked on me for about 20 minutes out of the hour. The rest of the time, she either left the room or hung out in her chair. I'm used to portions of a facial being a resting time for a mask, but an entire 30 minutes, no hand massage or anything? I could sit at home with my own mask on my face. There also was a clock in the room loudly ticking each second during the entire treatment. I didn't feel relaxed, I felt agitated and aware of the passing of time while my aesthetician was MIA. I also was not a fan of the Sisley products. There was so much fragrance in each product I felt like a bottle of perfume was dumped on my face. Any skincare enthusiast knows how detrimental fragrance in products is to your skin. Save yourself the trouble and skip Sisley. read more
