THE GOOD - on 6/12/26, Nicole a perfect example amazing-exemplary quality service-greeted me, upon entering with eye-2-eye contact welcoming smile and tone, offered assistance right away, educated me on the products, offered me to try some on my forehand, she listened w/o rush, No pressure sell. Bought several face products, Nicole included to write down exact steps of using products- remarkably helpful,. Also, got samples of products I hesitated to buy, a 1st time customer and I left excited. MY TRAUMA: Two days after using 1 gel & 1 cream (day/night) my face broke out in hives, swollen, tingling numb, major allergic reaction went to Urgent care. THE BAD- 1 Week later, went in to return just the 2 creams, an elderly lady w/grey-pepper hair tied back was at the counter, while walking in w/Kiehls bag in hand- her sour face immediately just staring at me til I got to counter, she got irritated by interruption by younger co worker who was leaving n needed her purse ck'd prior to leaving work. Negative vibes, no welcome, I explained what happened asked for refund, no reply or empathy, I just felt like I was irritating her; I asked if there was something milder I can try, rudely said "let me just finish with your transaction," and threw on table from drawer then slid a sample of a tiny packet toward me of a cream, w/o any info or saying a word, she then handed me receipt back- nothing said to me; right away went to another customer gleefully asking if they needed help. She was simply rude to me, and her face shows it too!! read more

I recommend this brand to all my male friends because from the first time I started using their products many many years ago, I noticed how much healthier my face, scalp, and eyes have gotten. My skin is never dry or cracking and the scents they have are nice and musky in a good way. Today I found out they have a dog spray to use in between grooming sessions which I do once a month and now my Belgian Malinois "Rex" will always smell good and have a nice shiny coat. read more

This purchase was hastily because again, I was on a business trip. As I made my way back home to CA, I realized I was sold a TESTER that was in their bowl of product for customers. Today was my first time coming to Kiehl's. The young lady that helped me was so nice and helpful, her name is Mary. She gave me several good recommendations for my skin and she even gave me a complimentary mini facial, it felt very nice! After the mini facial she told me to look around so that I can check out their products and once in a while she would come to check up on me to see how I was doing, even though she was helping another client she still made some time for me. I really loved the store and their products. I got several products that she recommended for me and she gave me samples to try too!! Upon calling the store to let them know I was on my way Arie was very kind, courteous, and helpful. She made sure to verify what I had ordered ahead of time and gave me clear and precise directions as to what to do upon arrival. She even asked what type of skin type I had because she wanted to gift me some samples (yay). I got off the phone and immediate told my husband what a pleasant experience that had been. Once I arrived I called and let her know where I was, even though I was a little lost with all the signs for curbside pickup she told me not to worry and that she would come find us. Best customer service ever!!! Mayte and the manager (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) helped me with a super frustrating return. I have been having issues returning an item I purchased online. Because of covid, and just kiehls online return procedure, I have been getting the run around for about a week. I drove all the way from Santa Monica to return this item, and when I got to the store they were able to give me a better and faster alternative. They were polite, understanding, and genuinely cared that I got good customer service. Kudos to this location and the awesome team that works there. Customer service is amazing, as always. Went in for refill as you can say. Recently I got my girlfriend into a facial routine and I recommended Kiehls. She loved the cannabis herbal cleanser, except they told us it's been discontinued. Fortunate for us, we met Alex and if you want my recommendation, I think everyone should ask for him. I came in after purchasing a kit from Sephora and was hoping I could buy a travel size of one of the moisturizers that was smaller than the size they had on the shelf since the Kiehl's rep at Sephora gave me the wrong moisturizer as a sample. The woman who helped me made me feel so stupid and was very condescending in her tone of voice. She kept saying she was confused at what I was saying though what I was saying was not complicated at all. She said they have never done samples of their products and she has no idea what I'm referring to. I left feeling embarrassed as she really made me feel like I was a thief looking for freebies. The person who spoke with me was a plus size woman with medium tone skin and brown hair. I wish I got her name to file a formal complaint. I'll resort to Sephora for any future purchases. read more

I've been wanting to check out Kiehl's products out for a while now and I finally stepped inside this store. I was looking for a new face regimen to help with my rosacea. We were greeted right away and was helped out by Keana. I told her what I was looking and she went to work. She put two little blotter things on my forehead and cheek to check out what type of skin I had (I'm more on the oily side) and then took out a small machine to check out how hydrated my skin was (it was on the low side). From those results she grabbed a couples things and demonstrated a the products on my hands. She recommended the calendula face wash and toner, hydro plumping serum and skin rescuer and also a sun block product. And along the way she was explaining what she was doing and why I would need these products. She was very informative, really nice and had great skin! Lol. So of course that helped me in my decision to buy everything (except the sun block). And I came in during the 20% off your purchase promo which helped a lot since it's a bit on the expensive side. But hey you only have one body so you have to take care of yourself and start young so you maintain your flawless looking skin before it's too late. Also got a free cosmetic bag and some samples too. So in 28 days I should see the results of the Kiehl's products and I'm hoping to love it! read more

First I have to say that I was a little disappointed with Kiehl's as I had placed a order for products "to be picked up" in the mall store. Several days passed and having not received notification that the product was ready for pick up, I called customer service and "Carla" immediately rectified the tardiness and lack of contact regarding the product being available for pick up. In the store I was assisted bye "Ariadna" who was not only friendly and helpful but very knowledgeable of products that complimented my purchase. She was patient, informative and above and beyond any technician I've ever experienced at any Kiehl's. She assessed my needs and offered several product to rectify facial and skin needs. I can't say enough just how awe struck I was bye her attentiveness, knowledge and "assessment of my individual needs." Suffice to say I listened to here recommendations and I'm very pleased with each and every item she determined was "best for me." As with Covid I've had to resort to purchasing my products via the net, I discovered that the "personal touch" is the strength of Kielh's for a good reason. Based on this visit, respective purchases and interaction; I see myself, my friends and family as a life long customers. Usually I don't review mall stores since they're all usually among the same lines but the service I got here was GREAT. I'm not big on skincare and I don't really like walking into stores since they usually hound you with sales pitches and I really just like to get whatever I want and leave, however, the worker that greeted me, Alex, was very kind and genuinely felt like he was trying to help me. She was very knowledgeable about all the products and recommended new products to deal with my facial redness. What a bummer. My husband in his "old face age" always walks by and is intrigued by this store. I decided to purchase a gift card for him so he could get "fancy skincare" without feeling...whatever it is that prevents him from shopping there. I walked in and two salespeople were helping out two customers. I stood at the register for 10 minutes without a WORD of "we will be with you shortly", or even a simple "hello". As I stood at the front of the register, one of the salespeople pointed her customer in front of me to pay (which I understood, even without ANY explanation). Shortly after, the other salesperson walked her customer to the other register. At this point I still haven't even gotten an acknowledgment that I was in line and starting to regret my (what would be a) $400 gift card purchase. After the second salesperson wrung up her customer she walked away and that's when I asked her if I could purchase a gift card for my husband. She said and I quote (it's burned into my brain because of the apparent rudeness), "OK I can do that for you because it's JUST A GIFT CARD AND THAT IS FAST.". What the heck???!!! I asked her if I heard her correctly and was she really saying that my gift card need was trouble for her and she was all of a sudden taken aback. She back-peddled and said, "Oh, we offer everyone a full experience and I was just saying your need was a small need." Again, what the heck?! I couldn't believe my ears and had to leave the store. What a bummer because for SOME STRANGE reason my husband is drawn to this store and also (thinks he is in) need for skin care .
