Diamond buy back - if you have no intention of ever selling your diamond then read no further. I bought a diamond ring here many years ago with the intention of upgrading or selling back. I was told the diamond loses 10% for sell back and keeps its value if you upgrade and the setting loses 40%~60%. Guess what I was told when I came in to sell it. They don't take back the setting. I was told it's only the first 2 years for the 10% and after that it's market value, they had recently updated their policy during COVID, diamond has dropped 30%. Blah blah blah ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I was livid, all I hear was BS. Not once did they mention market value during my initial purchase. If the diamond value had gone up, would you had offered me more? I read on someone else's website that the folks here don't carry anything below VVS1 diamonds. Don't take my word on that though...I'm no gemologist. Kieu Hanh Jewelry is family owned and operated, too. So, you know these people know their stuff. The people who helped us were extremely knowledgeable and were more than willing to go the extra mile in the area of customer service. Purchased mine and my husband's wedding rings here with no problem. Got the paperwork and felt confident with our purchase. Came back a year later to buy a gold ring, but did not get the same kind of customer service. I don't think this was intentional, but comes down to bad practice in sales. My husband tried on the rings in the display. The owner had the ring in her hand, quoted us a price, and we purchased. They would have sent us out the door without a receipt, but I insisted we get one. Just because it wasn't a diamond, doesn't mean it can be skipped. We got home and 2 days later my husband looked inside the ring. Turns out instead of ordering us a ring the way things should have gone, we were sold a display. A fake gold ring. Inside the ring was engraved "STORE SAMPLE DO NOT SELL." See attached photos for examples. We went back immediately to get a refund. The owner said she was sorry and was really nice about the refund. However, I could tell they were confused about how that happened and barely remembered us from 2 days ago. Thank god we had the receipt! Having referred to this store by my aunt and having read all 5-star reviews here, I decided to pay Kieu Hanh a visit for wedding bands. Too bad, but I cannot give them 5-star. The first impression was good. The store is very clean and well-organized with good lighting. I'm surprised with the large selection they had, including large brand names like other reviewers noted. I thought of asking for Alice, but when I walked in, the young ladies were busy with other customers, and a middle-aged lady greeted assisted me. She was patient, but not very informative. Good thing is that I did my research on diamonds, and since she didn't talk much, I had to ask her many questions regarding the 4Cs. She was able to answer some of them after being prompted with each ring. Then it came the price checking and warranty. She was willing to check for the price of the first 2 rings. However, she didn't seem to know how to calculate the price, and needed help from other staff. But after the 2nd ring, she hesitated to check for the price, and started to give me generalized answer like, "it's similar to that one." When I asked about warranty and repairing service for a Benchmark band I was holding, she said "it depends on which brand you buy." Wasn't obvious that I'm asking about the Benchmark's warranty? And she didn't give me an exact answer. And after the 6th ring, she probably assumed that I was not going to make a purchase that day, so she started saying, "maybe when you come back next time..." !!?? I didn't indicate that I was ready to leave yet! Maybe because I didn't get to talk to Alice? Maybe because I went without my fiancee, so they assume I wasn't going buy anything? Maybe I took too long and asked too many questions? Whatever the reason was, the experience was not as excellent as I expected based on previous reviews, but it was OK. Came here on separate occasions, serviced by different associates, and received completely different experiences. From the first two visits, I conclude that if you are looking for a round diamond, this place is great. However, if you are looking for fancy shapes, run the other way...fast! First visit (2013) : We met with Sang (sp?) to look for round diamonds, and he was great. He took the time to show different diamonds and explained their sales culture. I thought it was a little odd that even after telling him our budget (which was quite generous) he showed diamonds that were about 10-30% above our budget. -__- He explained that their store only carries VVS2 clarity and above, because they cater to the Vietnamese clientele, and that Vietnamese mothers would not accept a diamond anything lower. Not sure if I bought that, but it was interesting to hear an Asian perspective on diamonds. So if you are looking for a full spectrum of diamond quality for comparison sake, you may want to consider another store. Second visit (2013): Since I was overall impressed with Sang, I decided to pay another visit to look for pear shaped diamonds, my favorite. This was when things went sour. Sang was unavailable and I was greeted by two gal associates. When I told one that I was interested in pears, she looked annoyed and flat out said they don't have any in the store without attempting to check inventory. Weird because I called 30 minutes earlier, and they confirmed they did! That was first red light. Long story short, they only carried a couple, and I requested to see more pear diamonds. She continued to question my choice in disbelief multiple times even after I politely confirmed my decision. WOW. They admitted they don't sell a lot of pears, and demanded a deposit if I wanted to see additional diamonds. We are not diamond experts, but have gone to many many diamond stores, and not one has ever demanded a deposit for me to SEE diamonds. Needless to say, we went with South Coast Jeweler, and are so happy we did. =D Third visit (2014): Why did I come back here after the bad experience?? We were in need of pendant necklace, and I had already chosen the piece I wanted. Unfortunately, the piece I wanted is not carried by many stores, but carried by Kieu Hanh. Kieu Hanh also offered a great price, so we couldn't resist. We figured we are buying a product from a brand, and tried to dismiss past bad experiences. But, Kieu Hanh did not disappoint in providing rude service yet once again! The associate at Kieu Hanh was on the phone scolding and dissing the jewelry company in front of me. I think she was trying to prove that she is trying to help me out, but I think it really backfired since I thought it was really unprofessional, and my confidence level in their jewelry store dropped tremendously. Fast forward until pick up date - I wanted to shorten the chain. Their jeweler welded on the most hideous loop onto the chain, sticking out like a sore thumb! We brought the chain to South Coast Jeweler, and they were able to seamlessly incorporate the loop into the body of the chain for FREE. read more

We went to the jewelry stores in the Asian Garden Mall (Phuoc Loc Tho), the jewelry marts in Hacienda Heights, Tustin jewelry exchange, and even Robbins Brothers. Kieu Hanh Jewelry, by far, was the best one. Their diamonds are high-quality, and their prices reasonable. They have a good selection of designer rings for men and women, bracelets, necklaces, watches, pendants, etc. I think most of their selections are white gold and platinum, no yellow gold. This store has a very good selection of quality engagement rings and there is a big selection of jewlery for older Asian ladies (if you know what I mean). The service is excellent. I tried on my ring and fell in love with it but Alice was like "no no! you have to try on others too." If i could give it a negative-10 star I would... so disappointed and upset. I got my wedding diamond here two years ago with the wonderful Alice and came back for an upgrade and I could not believe my experience. First of all Alice is no longer working there and so the service was a total nightmare. Yes, same as what other viewers said there were kids talking, laughing, running around. But that wasn't my biggest concern as long as they do their job. So I chose my upgraded diamond, paid for it, and realized they didn't set the diamond on my band correctly. It was lopsided. I came the next morning asked for a redo and had to wait for an hour because the guy that was supposed to fix it didn't show up to work on time. That didn't bother me either.. I had the patience so I could wait. So he finally came and redid my setting while he was on the cellphone again! I waited for 1.5 hours and finally got my band and it was even worst than before!! My band was black! super rusted! Not only was it still lopsided my band was damaged; three of the four little hooks that hook onto the diamond were broken so he made his own hooks which were extremely bulky. I wasn't satisfied so I spoke to him about it and he said I was too picky and that was all he could do and it was perfect in his eyes. I spoke to the owner (older 60 years old lady so-called boss) she initially said there was nothing wrong with it. I had to explain and specifically point to all the damages that he had created and she finally agreed and asked him to redo and he said that was the max he could do. He specifically told me "go get a new band". I was in SHOCKED!! That was the last straw. If you have an expensive brand name band DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH IT! I spoke to the owner, sold the diamond back to them and lost my 10%. I rather lose 10% on a 14k diamond then to stay with them. No way will I ever come back! In fact, I warn all my friends, family, love ones to stay away from this horrible place. There are so many jewelry stores out there that are so much cleaner, better, and most importantly more PROFESSIONAL and have good services. I also learned that they sell you very old diamonds dated back 10 years ago. So horrible. If you did purchase a diamond from them look at the date of your GIA grading report. My diamond was in 2005! We aren't spending few hundreds but thousands so please spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Trust meeee. read more

We were loyal customers as I bought all my wife's jewelry here even though I could have gotten them cheaper at other places near by. They're usually provide good service but Return today to get my wife's rings (that I bought there )for polish and resized, free services they provide for customers. There was someone ahead of us and was told it would be a short wait. No problem, over an hour later & still waiting with no acknowledgement and the customer ahead of us long gone we got pissed! read more

You know diamonds are a girl's best friend, right? I'm starting to rethink that after seeing Blood Diamond, but I still find myself mesmerized by their sparkling beauty. Anyways, when my hubby and I were looking for wedding bands, I had to ask my friend Peggie, where to go because she had a huge beautiful rock that I know her hubby shopped around for and actually got a good deal, so she told me about Kieu Hanh Jewelry. She said that the owners don't speak English that well so it's better if you deal with their daughters who are really Americanized and can speak English and Vietnamese. So we went and they had a nice array of the top brands and even if they didn't have it in stock, they could always order it for you by looking through their catalog. It was awesome, they accomodated us in every way. Even the ring I wanted had these little rivets in the side that I didn't like and the sales lady told me that she could call the actual manufacturer and find out if they could custom make my ring and take out those rivets and sure enough they did it! I have nothing but good things to say about this place, they helped me in every way and were super accomodating and their prices are amazing. They don't charge commission since it's family owned and operated so that knocks off several thousands off of a ring that is worth a lot.
