I want to give this place 0 star. Terrible service by the owner Thu. 2,5 years ago I bought a diamond here, the receipt said -10% to return and equal if upgrade. Today I went there to return because I got a new diamond. Thu did not let me return. She said my diamond has scratches. Then she said she needs to send it to the guy, he will cut to make it round, then she will weight it again. It is so stupid that diamond with GIA can have scratches. I only wore my ring on special occasion. So it could not happen. She refused to take it back. I never come back this place again. And be careful, when you buy, she will not show you the scratches on the diamond, only show you GIA, then when you want to sell it back, she will look the diamond really careful to point out the scratches to refuse to take it back. read more

Since I have not bought any jewelries at the Asian Garden mall before, I was pretty skeptical. I initially went to the biggest stores there to check out the rings and prices. However, customer service and pricing were just ok there, so I decided to check out smaller stores like Kim Thu. Although they don't have a lot of selections, they can custom make any rings at a BETTER price. I told them my idea + gave pictures of what I want the ring to look like. Communication was friendly and prompt via texts. I was nervous about my custom-made ring, so I kept texting them back & forth about the details of the ring. I only expected it to look similar to the sketch/pictures, but the ring came out to look EXACTLY like what I wanted. My fiancé loves the elegant & unique style :) Overall, great experience. I know that I can go to Thu and she will give me more than fair pricing as well as excellent quality. She is also a gemologist and very gifted at her craft. For added security and piece of mind, she also offers to have a GIA number embedded/lasered on your center stone so when you get it professionally cleaned, you can be sure that the diamond you get back is the same one you handed over. I was referred to Thu by a friend and I have to say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I originally contacted Thu about a diamond I saw on blue nile to see if she could find me one similar to it in cut, clarity, color, and cost. After reviewing the GIA certificate for me, Thu gave me a whole breakdown of her opinion on the diamond and even told me to purchase the diamond from blue nile because she wouldn't be able to beat it in price. Hows that for honesty and integrity?! After Thu told me that, it still took me a while to figure out what I wanted and if I really wanted to buy it on blue nile. Finally, I decided against the blue nile diamond and reached out to Thu to see if she could find a diamond to my liking. After a brief convo she found me a perfect diamond the next day! When the diamond arrived, it was exactly what she had described. She went through a whole process to show me the brilliance of the diamond and I was sold! The next step was the setting. Thu has a great selection to chose from, however I had the exact setting I knew my fiancé wanted so Thu was able to get a setting custom made for me. In the meantime, Thu went as far as loaning me a setting to propose because I said I wanted to do it before the holidays! We were really, really pleased with Kim Thu Jewelry. I found them through a Chinese friend who owned jewelry stores on the east coast. I'd been looking all over for an engagement ring but I hadn't found anything at the traditional jewelry stores, so we went to the Asian Garden Mall. There are probably 30 jewelry stores there, so the competition really keeps the prices down. Being Caucasian I was a little intimidated there, but Kim Thu and her brother in law Wang are young and Americanized and very professional but also easy to deal with. Reasons I liked the store: 1. If you're buying gold, it's always 18kt instead of 14kt. It's easy to tell the difference; it looks much richer. 2. If you're buying a diamond, it will be GIA certified, with a GIA number lasered onto the diamond. 3. They love jewelry and won't let you make a mistake. We asked about changing a ring in a certain way but they said that no, it would weaken the setting too much. They were willing to lose a sale rather than do inferior work. 4. Like I mentioned, the pricing is very good. We got much more, for less, than what we were seeing at the mass-market chains (like Ben Bridge), upscale chains (Harry Winston), local jewelers, and a jewelry mart place in Fullerton. I think the Vietnamese people are much more focused on jewelry as an investment, so they don't tolerate high markups and they want very high quality. read more
