Food was fantastic. A definite cut above chick fil a. I had the bobo Sando which was a hearty, stacked sandwich with good bun (key requirement for me). My daughter had the chicken & waffles. The waffles were well made and tenders had crispy breading.

My kid & I just finished grocery shopping at Safeway and we were hungry. We decided to try Kiki's Chicken Place because it is in the same complex. The restaurant has some table inside and it was pretty full when we were there. I ordered the food at the cashier & in about 10 mins they called me to pick up the food at the counter. - Chicken tenders Tuesday ($1.50): I ordered 5 pieces for me & my kid. The pieces were quite big and they were crispy yet the meat was tender. However, they were flavorless. I had to buy their bbq dipping sauce ($0.50) to eat with the tenders. - Garlic fries: delicious! It was the only thing that we enjoyed and finished. In fact, my kid couldn't stop eating them. The fries were crispy. They put lots of garlic and it was delish! I wish they put more cheese on it. I would go back just for the garlic fries! And maybe I'll try their chicken win P.S. Tuesday: chicken tender is $1.50 each & $0.50 for sauce Wednesday: bone in wing is $1.25 each, boneless wing is $0.75 each & $0.50 for sauce

Service was fairly quick considering it was the lunch rush. I ordered the lemon pepper wings with shoestring fries. The fry on the wings was super crispy and the seasoning was great, but I did think the wings were a smidge dry. Fries were delicious and a really big portion.

The chicken here is always tender and perfect cooked. I wish they had a few more sauce choices.

Chicken was really juicy. My son wanted it and it was surprisingly delicious not just another chicken wing spot.

Their staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself is so cozy and charming. I treat myself to this place for breakfast 2-3 times a year, and every time I visit, they seat me quickly and give the best service and consistently great food. I always get and highly suggest Cooter's Country Eggs Benedict. It's Southern biscuits & gravy, but they throw two fried eggs and sausage patties on top of the biscuits before covering it all in gravy and add country fried potatoes on the side. Thankfully, their iced tea is brewed there (none of that awful machine iced tea!), and they serve it in a huge, oversized plastic cup. Best of all, when I was paying my bill, the food server offered to make the tea to go. She got a huge to-go cup and brought it back half-filled with iced tea. I put the rest of what I had in it and was set for the rest of the morning with delicious homemade iced tea! Wonderful service! I've actually been visiting this restaurant since I was a teenager in the early 1980s. My parents used to have breakfast here every Saturday morning. It was still called the Gold Miner Cafè even back then, but different owners, ofc. Everyone in or near Folsom should visit here at least once to see what you're missing! I'm positive you will return when you want a really hearty homemade Southern-style breakfast!

Worse for us since our neighboring table decided to watch something on his phone without headphones... The food looked incredible, but flavor simply wasn't there. The best thing I had was the waffle alone and the gravy. The chicken was dry- obviously fried previously and reheated for the order. The waffle had great flavor and texture. The syrup was thick and of good quality. The Sunnyside up eggs were slightly undercooked with the whites runny which left my 11-year old only having a few bites. The hashbrowns we're not crispy and not well seasoned. My over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly, but the ham steak was also shockingly unseasoned (it wasn't even salty, to my surprise). The biscuit was HUGE and looked incredible but when bitten into immediately turned to mush- it felt like eating dough. If it were cooked just a few minutes longer, it would have been the best thing we ordered. The gravy was the best flavored item. Oh, as well as their homemade raspberry jam. Delicious! In all, I'd recommend very basic foods like the waffles, bacon, and eggs. Everything else was mid and be aware of a super loud, small space.

There was plenty of seating on the shady patio, but it was really hot outside, so we opted to wait for a table inside. We had a drink and watched the NBA finals on the TVs (there was no sound so it wasn't noisy). I tried the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was well balanced and delicious! We were seated for dinner pretty quickly. The only problem I had was deciding what to order. The luau shrimp salad? Meatball sub? I finally decided on the lobster mac and cheese. While the portion wasn't large, it was delicious! Creamy and mild with fresh lobster (not fishy) and garlicy breadcrumbs. My husband got the ribeye and was thin but large with great seasoning and veggies. I'm not a big steak fan but I really liked it. We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). The atmosphere was upscale, but very casual, quiet and fun. We saw families with young children, couples on dates, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was the perfect vibe that we were looking for, comfortable, but classy. And the food was high-quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, the hostess with the brown curly hair was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which isn't the first impression you'd hope for when celebrating a special occasion. The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. I honestly left satisfied. This place really did live up to the recommendations and reputation it has. Our gym, Positive Impact Fitness always talks about this place and it was really worth it. I shall return in due time.

We were also informed that the patio was closed because there weren't enough servers available to cover that section, which was disappointing since we were hoping to dine outside. Aside from the wait, the food has always been consistently good here. The portions are generous, and so far I haven't had a bad meal. Their island-style breakfast options are especially worth trying. The chicken fried steak, pancakes, omelets, and waffles are all solid choices. They also offer a great variety of mimosas, making brunch even more enjoyable. My mom isn't a big breakfast person, so she opted for the chicken strips and fries. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the worst choice of the day. Not only was it the last dish to arrive, but the chicken tasted like frozen store-bought strips that had been over-fried. It was extremely dry, tough, and difficult to eat. Without a doubt, it was the weakest item we ordered. Other than that one dish, our overall experience was positive. The rest of the food was enjoyable, and our servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. I hope they're able to reopen the patio on our next visit.
