Such a fantastic discovery in El Dorado Hills! We visited from the Bay Area and had a great family dinner. Atmosphere & Parking: Stopped by after 7 PM on a weekday. It wasn't crowded at all, and parking was a breeze--perfect for us since we prefer avoiding weekend outings. Food: Got the mixed fried chicken (Yangnyeom & Classic Crunch). Super crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft and perfectly cooked on the inside (no pink or red meat). Tastes authentic and hit all the right nostalgic notes from my childhood in Korea. Fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The 2nd time I ordered the corn with cheese. Didn't remind me of anything Korean, but it tasted very good. Omg, I can't believe they opened a Bonchon in this area!! I was literally on my way to grab Thai food when I spotted it tucked in the corner and had to switch plans right away. I usually drive all the way to the Arden location whenever the cravings hit, so having one close by feels like a blessing! The inside is really spacious and clean. When you walk in, there are two order screens which makes it super easy to place your order without having to wait around. The vibe was chill and organized, definitely makes the whole experience quick and convenient. We ordered the kimchi stirfry udon noodles, 30 pieces of soy garlic wings, and a side of coleslaw. Let me tell you, the noodles were packed with flavor! super savory, a little spicy, and the portion was perfect. That fried egg on top was also a great add to it. The wings? Always a 10/10. I stick to soy garlic every time and it never fails. Crispy, juicy, and coated with just the right amount of sauce. The coleslaw was fresh and creamy, a nice balance to the bold flavors. I decided to try this Korean fried chicken place in town center and I really enjoyed it! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with YANGNYEOM ( sweet and a little spicy) sauce. It was so delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich so much flavor and I was able to dip it in ranch dressing, which made it way tastier. The french fries were nice and crispy and crunchy. So delicious ! Forget about KFC, Popeyes, Churches; because, with the recent price gouging/increases from fast food fried restaurants, you would much rather come here for fried chicken! This Korean fried chicken chain is way more worth it for the quality of chicken you get and the flavors beat any american fried chicken dishes hands down. They also have other varieties of appetizers and korean-styled side dishes like tteokbokki, fried rice, gyoza, bulgogi fries, seasoned fries, etc. You can choose 1-2 flavors (half&half) or even plain (no flavor, just crunchy fried chicken). I honestly like to get half&half of soy garlic and plain fried chicken. It is also common Korean culture to eat a nice fried chicken meal with beer, but they do not sell beer here, but it is a good option to consider at home for ToGo orders! We also got house fried rice, I would say this was a little small in portion size for the price. But it is still very yummy! The staff here are well trained and they always had great customer service every time I came to this Folsom location since they opened so far! Plenty of seating is available for dine-in. I've been to Bonchon locations in Sacramento (Natomas & Arden) and was excited for this new EDH location. Bonchon is a great chain and I love their soy garlic wings! This restaurant is order, pay, and take your number stand to your table. I ordered a small 6 piece soy garlic wings with coleslaw. They wouldn't let me substitute the coleslaw/raddish for rice like the Sacramento locations would let me do. I had to order rice as an extra side. Food didn't take too long to come out which was nice. I was super disappointed that the wings were 5 drumettes and only 1 flat! My favorite part are the flats so I had to say something. Staff was understanding and took my tray back removed 2 drumettes, gave it back, and then made me 3 new flats. If I could order all flats that would be awesome. I'll try and ask next time. I thought the wings were okay. They didn't quite hit the spot for me like they usually do and they were tiny. Maybe needed to be a bit crisper and more sauce? Also the rice was a little dry/hard too but edible. Coleslaw was as expected. Overall my experience was mid. Maybe I'll give it another shot when they've been open a bit longer. read more

It seems like a place mostly for takeout, we have been here several times and have always ordered togo. They do have ample seating and TVs for the diners if you want to dine in. I added some ranch for another $.99 and the whole thing came to $21.42 after tax. If you make it a meal, it comes with a drink and second side like French fries, coleslaw, or pickled radish. The sandwich and fries are pretty filling on their own, so keep that in mind. The fries were hot and crispy, so I dug into them right away. My chicken sandwich didn't come with much on it, which surprised me. Later, I found out you're supposed to eat it "Korean style" with the coleslaw on top. My meal included a small side of slaw just for that purpose. My sandwich came with a big piece of crispy chicken, and a nice fluffy bun, so it made for some good eat'n!. My husband and I have eaten here twice so far. If you haven't tried Korean fried chicken, you're missing out. Bonchon's chicken is super crispy and flavorful, and everything is priced fairly. The inside is very spacious, clean, and well decorated. I've noticed most people take their food to go, which is why it's never too crowded inside. If you're in EDH Town Center and looking for fried chicken to eat in house, this is the spot. It's spacious and clean inside. Servers are polite and helpful. We typically get drumsticks, with sauce on the side. It's always very juicy inside and super crunchy outside. That being said, the fried chicken is not great as leftovers. The batter becomes thick and chewy and doesn't taste the same. This doesn't happen with leftover fried chicken from other places. The fried rice is ok and sometimes comes with a lot of tiny pieces of red bell peppers that can be overwhelming and difficult to pick out. The japchae is good with a decent amount of veggies. Side dish portions are small for the price. Not a great choice to dine, if you're vegetarian or vegan. read more

Let me tell you how disappointed I was with the portion of the bibimbop bugogi. Literally 2-3 bites of meat over rice with lettuce, spinach, mushrooms and the scrambled eggs. I'd rather go down the hill to Seoul 1979 where the price is less and you get DOUBLE the serving. Potstickers were good but they did not give a side of dipping sauce but it could be because I asked for them to lather the sauce on the potstickers? And the street corn was ok. Forgot to give me the five wings for five dollars on this day. Only I was a little bit upset and not everybody got to eat all these amazing wings, but I did not wanna drive all the way back down the hill. It was a honest mistake.
