Can't put this way to do something else and got hungry so went searching this tiny town and found this amazing gem. A step back in time where the town is small, folks have manners and service is first. Self seating and all smiles when I walked in found myself a freshly wiped down booth and quickly a staff member came by to take my drink order and bring menu. Always a great stop for me when I'm traveling through the area. In fact i sometimes plan my trip to make sure i get here in time for a great meal. Every visit i get a great serve that is kind hearts me with a great big smile and super helpful. Today i stopped in for my breakfast, and i had a omlette. Ham and cheese, a classic and my favorite. Great little diner right in the middle of Ft Meade. They're only open until 230, and I hear they get busy, so maybe show up early and give yourself some time. We went on a Friday at 1pm with no issues. Our service was great. Our server was Amy; a fun gal. Food was good old fashioned home cooked diner food. We had four in our party and had: The 1/4 fried chicken-said to be very tasty Reuben and fries- also very good (it's a favorite) Grilled chicken breast plate-very tasty. We just learned that we have been making a huge mistake in our culinary journey for several years. Whenever we drive up to Disney we take the back roads that pass through Fort Meade without stopping to eat. This is a mistake we won't make again simply because of Kiki's Egg House. We stopped by on our way back home for a late breakfast, you see, they serve breakfast all day. The place is the quintessential small town diner, great food, friendly service that makes you feel like a long time customer and very, very good prices. Our server was awesome, so sorry I can't recall her name, but she was so nice and went the extra mile. She learned that we like Italian food so she bragged about one of there entrees and the homemade sauce they make. She said "hold on" and returned with a small bowl of the sauce for us to try, OMG... next time we will eat breakfast there AND also get an order to go of the chicken piccata to eat when we get home and don't want to cook. You have to stop here, don't make the big mistake we had always made and just drive by. We just had lunch at Kiki's and it was DELICIOUS! Cute kitschy decor. The French Toast was crispy and had just the right amount of sweet. Sugar free syrup was available. The steak tips were well seasoned, cooked properly to medium rare, with a generous portion. With REAL mushrooms in gravy. The mashed potatoes (with gravy) were real potatoes, not instant. The fried okra was the best I've had, and the green beans were cooked just right: soft, well seasoned, but still bright green. The coffee was great, and the service by Filitas was super friendly and responsive. We dropped a pin on our map for this place and I highly recommend it. read more

If you ever experienced a restaurant where the staff was impeccable. The food was perfect, and in 14 minutes delivered the best breakfast in town. This is it. Pictures tell the entire story. $20 to the cooks. 30% tip to Courtney, we couldn't be happier. Met a sweet lady talking with everyone, and found out she's the owner. Once again this place knocked it lit of the park. I was on my way to Ft Meyers from Orlando and this is the perfect place to grab breakfast or even lunch. My only thing with this location is the staff are typically in a daze here. There's so many working they all get to where there walking on top of each other. But hey it works for them I assume. If you're eating here, you're either a local or your driving between Orlando and Ft. Myers. We were part of the latter as we didn't want your typical fast food/gas station experience. A quick search brought up this place along the route. It was pretty crowded, but there was no wait which was nice for a stop along the way. I ordered the Taco Salad and my wife ordered the Greek Omelet, and we were both happy with our selections. The Greek Omelet was loaded with veggies and flavor and had a nice chunk of feta inside as well. That was a nice surprise for sure. The taco salad with beef was pretty good. I never put ranch on a taco salad before, but I might do that from now on. The shell was crispy, the ingredients were fresh, and everything worked together. Was it something you'd get in a Mexican restaurant? Probably not, but for a diner type atmosphere, it was a hit. The staff was amazing and we were in and out pretty quickly, which is nice for a sit-down restaurant. If we drive through again, this might be our stop every time. read more

We had a great breakfast. It is a simple local restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. The eggs, pancakes and bacon were perfect cooked and not greasy!!!! Our server Amy was fantastic , our cups were never halfway! Everyone seems to enjoy working there and customers are locals and travelers passing by like us! Fantastic. Drink home from Streamsong and stopped for breakfast. Actually, planned ahead and I knew we would stop here......20 minutes away. As soon as you walk in, you know it's going to be great. Where the hell is Fort Meade, you ask? It's a teeny tiny town in non-Disney Central FL. It's a destination spot for virtually nobody. You find it while driving through to somewhere else. Your driving along and someone in the car says- "Honey, we're starving, and the Yelp app says this place is great! Let's stop." Don't think about it; just stop! Atmosphere- This is a breakfast and lunch only place that feels a lot like a diner but a bit bigger. You can sit at the bar, no adult libations, or at plenty of two-tops and four-tops. Florida kitsch on the walls and count on the place being busy with lots of folks munching away on great comfort food. Food- A huge breakfast and lunch menu with every American comfort food you can imagine. I was told they served breakfast at lunch so that's what I did. I know it's a little bit weird, but it was great. I ordered the Ham, Cheese & Sausage Omelet plus Home Fries and a Biscuit for $7.99. It was out quickly and damn close to perfection for that price. The omelet had plenty of fillings and the home fries were beautifully seasoned and had wonderful little crispy bits with nothing burnt in sight. The biscuit was warm and fluffy. What's not to like. Customer Service- Can you say eight stars? I had a coffee and a menu within thirty seconds. As soon as I perused the menu my server was there to take my order. They checked on me at least twice and the owner came by twice. This was customer service at it's very best. If you want to experience Central Florida without a "Mouse," this is your chance and I'm sure you'll love it! read more

Decent highway diner with a great menu and some great food, friendly and attentive staff and a hometown feel. I enjoyed my burger & tater tots with a great not-too-creamy cole slaw. Prices were fair, the place was bustling at noon, painted in bright yellow and decorated in chicken stuff. Large messy party of 15+ people who really littered the floor without care. I'd ordered medium well and got well done but burger was still juicy. No one makes 1/4 lb burgers any more so I knew I was taking some home. (I'd rather eat less, pay less.) Their bathroom is horrible (worth staying home!) starting with it's swinging cowboy entry doors to stalls without locks and toilets the height of your old kindergarten days. Yelp scores again. Along a boring 3 hour drive from Ft Myers back to Orlando to fly home To SC, we decided for a late breakfast at 1130. An hour away we looked for breakfast places in Fort Meade.....in comes Yelp! Found this gem right on our route on US17. Took lots of photos; an unassuming block building advertising breakfast and brunch. Our waitress was energetic about the good and her Job. We found out her parents owned the place, a nice F amily run spot We each had a 3 egg omelette, mine a cheese steak with chipped beef Philly Style ..delish. Hers a spinach and Swiss with jalapeño and bacon added. My omelette (photo) was huge. Mistakenly got a side of bacon..could hardly finish Clientele all local and loyal from the looks of it. The place was filling up as we left around noon! Clean and reasonably priced with a great neighborhood vibe. Definitely would repeat visit me read more

Our first ever motorcycle breakfast ride to Kiki's with another couple from Winter Haven. Whoa, this experience was terrific! The place was packed when we arrived a little after 9am, but got seated at a table for 4. I Just want to say I started here as a server.I have served in several diffrent reastrants.This restraunt is family owned and managed and they are great at it.This is one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever worked at.I have seen this restaurant inside and out and it is exceptionally clean all the way through storage,kitchen and all the places customers don't see.The staff cleans it daily.The food comes out fast and the customers clean their plates and say how delicious it was.The owners and servers are great and they all work together to make sure everyone has a great dinning experience and it has a great atmosphere.Even if the server position don't work out for me I still want everyone to know how great this Restaurant is.Thanks read more
