I must say this was the best breakfast I have had all year outside of my own kitchen. Anna's is now my go to spot for breakfast. The prices were fair, customer service was awesome, and the food would satisfy the toughest critic. I enjoyed the pork chop breakfast. It was tender, well seasoned and a portion big enough for two. My Beau enjoyed the meatless breakfast with a pancake. Don't forget to order the sweet tea. You can tell that the staff really enjoy serving everyone who walks through the door. My wife and I have been here three times know. First time my had country fried steak with grits and eggs. She absolutely loved it said it was some of the best She has had 9.2. I had steak and eggs with home fries absolutely delicious the steak could us a little seasoning. It was cooked perfectly 8.7 our second visit She had country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans loved it 9.2. I had the home made meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans very good. One of the best meatloaf it was a thick piece and very well cooked 8.6. Our third visit we both had country fried steak. She had scrambled eggs and grits i had home fries and over easy eggs both was delicious hers 9.2 mine 8.7 this is a good to place in plant city you must stop in and give them a try. If disappointment had a breakfast menu, this would be it. I will happily pull over for a hole-in-the-wall diner because that's usually where you find the best food. Anne's Restaurant plant city proved that not every hidden spot is a hidden gem. This was, without question, one of the worst breakfasts we've ever paid for. Everything tasted like it had been scraped straight off the grill instead of actually being cooked with any care. The French toast? It wasn't French toast it was plain bread kissed by a greasy flat top. No batter, no cinnamon, no flavor. The eggs and bacon were as forgettable as they come. Then came the coffee... $3 a cup for stale coffee that looked like it had been sitting there since breakfast yesterday. If you're going to charge café prices, at least serve coffee that wasn't brewed in another time zone. Three basic breakfasts somehow turned into a bill of over $50, and then they tack on an extra 3% just for using a card. Paying more for bad food is one thing. Paying extra for the privilege is almost impressive. The cleanliness didn't help. Water came in a dirty cup, and the silverware looked like it had skipped the dishwasher entirely. By that point, I had completely lost my appetite. I've had gas station breakfasts that were fresher, cheaper, and tasted better. Save your money. Save your taste buds. Save yourself the disappointment. I wouldn't stop here again not for breakfast, not for coffee, and honestly, not even for a free glass of water. read more

Very unassuming but a solid diner. The staff was attentive to our wait and made sure we had full cups of coffee at all times. I liked that my son could order a burger at 9 am without any issue. I was easily able to get an egg white omelet and turn my grits into cheesy grits. It was very busy on a weekday even at 9 am. Five stars are for our server, Cheyenne and the breakfast foods - coffee was on point, biscuits were fluffy, sausage gravy is killer. The 1/2 trash bowl is a great value and perfectly cooked home fries made it delicious. BUT either tone down the young cook's voice or turn off the radio - both at once proved to be way too much for us in an otherwise empty dining room where her loud voice bounced off each surface. Even the dish washer got in on the lengthy discussion about the cook's recent night of drunken escapades. There's a time and place for this type of detailed trashy chatter, in a public restaurant where you welcome people to your tables and we paid for our meal isn't one of them. read more

I love this little place. My husband and I have been a few times now - it reminds me of the (good) truck stops my grandparents used to take me to when I was little. Chicken fried steak is great, decent gravy, eggs always cooked properly. Chicken fried chicken portions are huge. The food isn't fancy. It's good 'home cooking'. We went here on our way home for breakfast and regretted it. We walked in and immediately wanted to walk out, the amount of excessive praise Jesus decor was off putting. We were hungry so we sat down and ordered. I got a basic breakfast, it came out as nothing special. My partner got the French toast. As we sat there eating someone in the back area started incessantly banging on something and it didn't stop. It was so annoying we both quit eating. My partner left almost all of the French toast because in his words it was "the worst French toast" he's ever had. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The breakfast item I had was a lot of food and could easily be shared with another person. It is called the " trash bowl." It consisted of a layer of home fries, 2 fried eyes, corn beef hash, smothered in sausage gravy. It arrives and you say to yourself "sh$t this is a lot food!" Lol! Take that first bite and you lose your mind because it is so damn good you cannot stop eating it! My god everything was cooked just right with great favors through and through! The food is good. The owner/waiter/cooker/cleaner is just lovely, she was by herself in that morning, and had timing to have a conversation with us, clean and serve coffee to the other tables, while the potatoes where in the grill. Pleasant waitresses, can see the cook and whole kitchen(like Waffle House) they do have some stools so you can sit and watch more up close. While on our honeymoon, my husband and I were traveling to Orlando and decided to stop for breakfast. Our very first impressions were that it was a cute hometown restaurant. As we sat down we continued to be more and more impressed with the place. It was so CLEAN. And not just a basic clean, a no speed of dust in sight clean. The owner took our orders and she was so sweet and so kind. Our food was made fresh and it was absolutely delicious as well. When we are leaving we paid and the lady was making conversation with an was talking to us as though we had known each other for years. We got out to the car and were backing out of the parking lot when another employee brought out my coke that I had left which was super sweet of him!! Don't judge a book by its cover. I peered through the front window to see baskets and baskets of field fresh tomatoes lining the counter and knew I was going in. Anna was friendly, funny and gracious. I asked about a BLT and if if those tomatoes were in it. They were. It was perfect. Lightly toasted bread, crispy bacon, crunchy lettuce and nice juicy slices of perfectly seasoned tomatoes with a good slathering of mayo. I didn't need to add anything. When any eating establishment takes the time and effort to use local fresh products I am all in for tasting their wares. I figure if they care that much about the source of their produce they'll treat it with the same love in making a meal even if it's a simple as a BLT.
