They've done a great job turning this brake garage into a burger place and the burgers are awesome and their coleslaw is awesome and their french fries are awesome and my sister got a shaved beef loaded sandwich and it looked awesome and she loved it and they have a good selection of beers and some ciders. Last night they had a wonderful live musician in the beer garden area which is quite pleasant and we had a beautiful sunset behind us and the temperature was perfect outside. We chose to get our service outside at the outside bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful and we felt like we had great service and you can order inside to go as well. First visit here today after finding it on YELP. As we were walking in, a customer exiting asked if we had been here before and told us that the onion rings are out of this world. So as we ordered our food, we ordered onion rings also. We ordered a Garlic Burger with Waffle Fries and a drink ($13.99), a Brake Burger with Waffle fries and a drink ($13.99) and a Smash Burger adding bacon with waffle fries and a drink ($15.20) an order of onion rings ($5.99). The onion rings have the potential to be amazing as they appear to be thin cut and battered in house. The only draw back with the onion rings, fries and burger is that they seem to be a bit heavy on the salt. I could not finish my fries and only ate a few onion rings. The restaurant is in a former "Filling Station," or gas station if you prefer. You are sitting in the garage as you eat your food, although the garage doors are closed and the restaurant is air conditioned. There are art prints of vehicles on the walls along with car manufacturer signs and hubcaps. I like this place and will love it with less salt. The staff is nice and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I can recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. read more

Loved the look and feel of the old garage station. Staff was quick to offer up suggestions being ny first time. There were great selections on the menu. I ended up choosing the Garlic Burger. This burger included Provolone cheese, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion on it. I replaced the onions with grilled onions. The seasoning was great, while not too garlic forward. The meal came with waffle fries and a drink. The fries were cooked perfectly and just the right amount of salt. While we chose to sit inside, Brake Burger Garage had a great outdoor seating as well. My husband and I were driving home from Miami, and needed a place for lunch. We saw that Brake Burger Garage had a 4.5 rating, and decided to check it out for ourselves. (My husband loves burgers!!) We were pleasantly surprised to see how cute and clean the restaurant was ... and reminiscent of an older brake garage. (Very authentic!) I ordered a regular Smashburger combo, my husband ordered a Smashburger deluxe combo and we tried the chicken fingers as well. The difference between the regular Smashburger and the deluxe is that he had lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles on his. but they both came with 'brake' sauce and grilled onions. The young man who took our order at the counter was very nice, friendly, and answered all the questions we had. We placed our order, sat at a table with a number, and as soon as our food was ready, which was very quickly, another server brought our food out to us. The burgers, the fries, and the chicken fingers were all hot, fresh and tasty. We asked for the chicken fingers to be dipped in buffalo sauce, which was really good, it might've been a little too saucy, but had great flavor and we had a side of ranch to dip in. I brought my kids here to enjoy a burger and chicken fingers after school. They thoroughly enjoyed the hot fresh food. The service was a bit long to wait but it was a busy time in the evening and the workers were friendly. The ambiance was pretty cool like a ln actual service garage which made it interesting n for my boys. The beer garden in the back was an awesome touch with the string lights. They close a bit earlier than some restaurants but overall it's a neat stop for a quick bite. The price point was a bit high because the burgers and chicken don't come with fries. Polk County Burger Week adventure day! First stop... the Birria burger! Cute little shop that must have once been a gas station or automotive shop. Walk up counter with ample table/chairs for such a small space. Love the old collector! Legit one of the best burgers I have had in my entire life... and the staff was so friendly! When we told the cashier we were doing a burger tour she offered to split the burger in half for us which made life so much easier! Not gonna lie though, wish I got a whole one. As we were leaving one of the chefs from the back asked us how our food was and we told him how AMAZING the burger was and how we came for burger week and he talked more in depth about the urger and how he thinks he is gonna make it the burger if the month. He must have been the owner, but with how impeccable their customer service was I wouldn't be surprised if he was just the head chef!
