I'm what you call a "helicopter dog mom", I had taken all my dogs to one groomer that I knew personally so switching to an unknown is a big deal. Mo could not have been better for my dog. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job and caring for your pets. When I dropped my dog off, she was very anxious and didn't want me to go. By the time I came to pick her up, she didn't want to leave! Very thankful for the time and energy Mo put in to making my girl feel her best.

I feel that it's unfair to not share my experience with others so they can make their own choices. I had 2 dogs and one was a very selective dog, meaning he didn't get along with all dogs he met. Miranda was referred to us by a friend whose dog had similar issues. When we met Miranda to see her facility, I asked her if she would be cresting the dogs when she left the building. (I asked this for a reason) she told me that if they were not crated at home, she would not crate them and they could just stay in her living space. It turns out that Miranda was crating my dogs together when she left them and that is ultimately what led to my dogs death. My selective dog could not be crated with any other dogs. If he was and anything triggered him, he would redirect onto another dog in his crate, even his brother and they would fight. This happened so Miranda came home and found that my dogs had a fight in their crate. She took the selective dog, Carson out to bathe him and ultimately left him unattended in the sink, tethered to the wall. He then tried to jump out of the sink and you can imagine the rest. We left for the weekend with 2 dogs and came back having only one.

I believe I was in contact with KIM who honestly made me feel like I was just chatting with a friend! She was so approachable, understanding, and really went into the details of what option would best support my tiny fur children. Fast forward 3 months and we just wrapped up our in-home training package with Maureen! I cannot stress how amazing the entire experience was. Maureen has truly changed our lives for the better. Where we started to where we are now is night and day better, especially for my more aggressive dog Luna! We went from no one being able to enter our apartment with the dogs out to now the dogs just hanging out when people are here! Maureen is patient with pets AND people. She is always positive and really explains the WHY of the behaviors and outcomes. She's always on time, super professional, and gave us practical tools that actually work to truly set our dogs up for success but also US up for success as "parents" Honestly, I am a little sad Maureen is so great at her job because we will miss her coming over! If you want a trainer who knows her stuff and makes the whole process feel doable, Maureen is your person!

I'm writing this today as I came across an old video from our doggy cam of her man handling our dog and therefore felt the responsibility to share. All was fine until one day I received a call from the owner saying she's locked out then proceeded to blame my high energy dogs for her lapse of memory to account for the keys. The tone of the call seemed exaggerated for the situation that occurred but everyone deals with things differently and I dismissed it. I drove 50 miles back from work to bring them inside. She then communicated my dog needs training and she can't handle her anymore. It seemed a bit abrupt as communication prior to this seemed very passive about my dog being reactive and barking frequently, but never to the point where I felt she didn't have a handle on the situation. It's then when I found the video...She grabbed my dog by the collar, ripping her out of her kennel, lifting her high on her hind legs, and held her by the neck to dress her for the walk. My other dog has high anxiety and you can see the fear in her body language. I am not dismissing the fact that my dog was tough to deal with. She was a rescue that was found abandoned with her litter, and last one to be adopted. She is very reactive to other dogs , very vocal, very high energy, and at the time she was very much a puppy with additional puppy energy. We ended up spending thousands of dollars on training for her throughout her life, but it never truly resolved her problems. We now learn how to cope with them. (We love her to death, but she's not for everyone). I'm selective with who I choose to care for my pets because of the personalities that they bring and I trusted Pet & Home Pros to take care of them knowing the experience that was advertised. During initial meetings, I was reassured that there was plenty of experience with dogs similar to mine and that there should be no need to worry. I really wish Krista would have quit watching my dogs before it got to the point that she needed to manhandle them in order for her to do her job. I will not post the video here, but I wanted to express my warning to dog owners with high energy or reactive characteristics to reconsider this organization.

Our dog is a rescue so she can sometimes exhibit shy/aggressive behavior around strangers, but becuase of the trust Krista & Ricky have established with her, she's excited and happy to see them for both walks and daycare. He sure found them at Fetch N Play. From the first day he started going he has been the happiest dog ever. From the minute Martin opens the door or rings the doorbell our Nico is wagging his tail and super excited to leave. He waits by the window waiting for the arrival of the van with all his riding buddies. He comes home four or five hours later, a very happy and tired pup ready for a nice long nap. Jose and Martin are two of the nicest people in the world. Loving the pups and always caring for them. After only a few weeks of going we needed our pup boarded, and Jose took him in for a long weekend. Nico came home as if nothing had changed. He was happy to be home, but could not wait until the next day to go back to puppy day care. Jose is very accommodating and flexible with scheduling and paying. Which brings me to the best part of all. Fetch N Play is the best kept secret in the city when it comes to doggie day care. It is incredibly reasonable and the best value for your money. A half day of playtime for what it costs to have a dog walker come for 1/2 hour - and they pick-up and drop-off to boot. Honestly, best thing that has happened to our pup and us.
