We had Kilby Creamery delivery service for about 7 years. They were the best by far. More than 5 stars. Their "cream top" whole milk was so good, it was actually seen as a treat by our family. Those days are gone now. Bought out by South Mountain Creamery, their product quality has dramatically dropped. The milk is watered down. The cream is delivered (when it actually is delivered) in bottles less than half the size, but at twice the price. Butter has now become a rare commodity. They can't even fulfill orders, yet they will charge you for everything you ordered. What's the point of buying out a creamery if you can't even keep up with demand? It is painfully obvious that these crooks are in it purely for a cash grab before everyone jumps ship. We are currently looking for a good, reputable creamery that will deliver. Sad to see such a good business reduced to utter crap in no time at all. RIP, Kilby Cream. read more

I came across a post in a local Facebook group about exceptional playgrounds. One member mentioned Kilby cream and since I had been looking for a petting zoo to take my almost 3-year-old son, I jumped on the opportunity and took him for a couple of hours to kill some time. What an exceptional place! I loved how secure and clean the playground area was. There was a wide open field for him to get his abundant amounts of energy out and just freely run and pet some animals along the way! We stopped inside for some ice cream, but were having way too much fun so we opted to play some more instead and come back next week to try the ice cream! This is probably my most favorite adventure I have taken my son on in the area since we've been staying locally! Can't wait to return! read more

Kilby Cream is family-owned and has been around since '05. Even though the family has been dairying for over a century, an ice cream shop was was pursued due to obtaining additional income for the family. The hubs and I stopped by on our way home, and we ordered the following: a cup of Strawberry ice cream (had a light strawberry taste to it; the hubs enjoyed it) and a cup of Ravens Berry (a seasonal flavor, this was a black raspberry ice cream with blueberries and dark chocolate swirl; the flavor was definitely a concentrated raspberry taste, but I was a little disappointed to find a bunch of ice crystals throughout the ice cream). Service was quick and efficient, and there were some tables inside to enjoy your frozen treat. They also sell milk, butter, eggs, beef, cheeses, breads, sausages, and other local items such a maple syrup and Angus beef. Just outside of Kilby Cream, there's also a 'mobile' food truck that sells some fusion hot eats. Wow... I read May's review and thought what is she/he talking about. I don't go to an ice cream place for nutritional information. I go there for a good tasting ice cream and know it is fattening! The taste was awesome and we left with some Salted Butter, Chocolate and Whole milk as a topper for the house. As for the Cows and not being able to see them...You certainly can by walking down there as we did, but to be honest it is stinky. Why would you want the Cows right where you are serving ice cream and food? They do have a petting zoo right there where you can see baby cows, goats, etc... which is way more cool. Bring your kids as their were tons there that day and they have an awesome playground! We will be back again and hopefully the tree-huggers doing reviews aren't around. LOL read more

The quality and flavor is nothing special. I wish I could get nutrition information for their products, but I could not. And for a place that's trying to be community-friendly and great for kids, I'd never bring a child there. They hide the cows from view because it's basically a factory farm. Dear Kilby Cream: Get rid of the high-density farming. Do humane-certified production with organic, grass-fed cows and I'll be back. Situated on a farm, this place serves up fantastic homemade ice cream, sandwiches and sells their own milk too. I told her I brought in empties, she had taken them after all and my son and I were the only ones there. The next total was $18. I got another look from miss friendly when I said that was incorrect. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with lack of care regarding state COVID regulations. As we were ordering, employees kept calling up other groups to order, putting everyone right on top of one another. When I asked an employee if we were supposed to be socially distanced, she rolled her eyes, shook her head and preceeded to ignore the request. I then asked the other lady ringing us up the same. She, the MANAGER named Tiffany, sighed heavily and asked, "and what am I supposed to do about it?" Like me asking them to follow the regulations was inconvenient. Tiffany proceeds to state that the health inspector and her boss know full and well how they are running their operation and don't care. I am appalled at the lack of consideration these employees had for customers, for state guidelines and for the attitude given when inquiring. Shame on them. read more
