I keep coming back to UDairy--it's easily some of my absolute favorite ice cream. The First State…read moreCobbler is a must-try and the raspberry cheesecake is another standout. Be warned their portions are very generous, I usually get a small if I want a rather large amount of ice cream, and even the kids size is very generous! They also offer pints and quarts to go, plus a selection of cheeses. The staff is also very kind every time. I recently discovered there's a walking trail that leads to the farm behind the creamery. There are benches and seating along the way, making it a great spot to hang out. Just a heads up: most of the outdoor seating is currently under construction as they expand the area, but it looks like it'll be even better once it's finished.

Great selection of flavors, absolutely delicious and perfectly creamy true ice cream. It was nice enough to sit outside at a picnic table which always makes it more fun. Though the decision was tough, today I went with a scoop of 1923 which is French vanilla ice cream with chocolate chunks and a salted caramel swirl. Sooooo many great sounding flavors! Though my usual go-to flavor is their classic Cookies & Cream, I need to go back soon to try the Holy Fluffernutter!! In addition to many freshly scooped ice cream options, they also sell ice cream by the pint or half gallon, and they have other ice cream treats, artisan cheeses, and some fun merch. They have plenty of parking, as it sits next to the Fred Rust Ice Arena. You're likely to find long lines as we get further into the warm weather seasons, but we always find it worth the wait when that happens.

The table had delicious bowls of Maryland crab soup, the service had been unpretentious and friendly, and the overall vibe was refreshingly relaxed. It was very busy lunch hour and not a single person complained about the line. They all knew warm, ample food portions were coming and they would be followed by a lovely cup of ice cream. The inside was adorable, highly welcoming to all, and delightfully kitschy. The entire place is situated on a large farm--you are literally steps away from the crops that made their way to your table. This is a great stop if you are heading into Perryville but want to eat first.

We opted for the regular-sized portions which were very generous, butter pecan for her and cashew caramel for me. The respective nuts had the perfect texture within the ice cream, soft but with a little crunch. There was plenty of seating throughout the store and right outside the doors. Many farm-themed tchotchkes were all over the space, too, which were all lovely. Staff was friendly and making sure the space looked its best. Bought milk from their cooler and a half-pound of their Aunt Josie's butter as we left (they brought the butter out from the back) and can't wait to try it! If it's half as good as that ice cream, we'll be more than satisfied. Looking forward to a return visit to sample some of their hot foods, too!
