We were in town for the day. Ordered wings and loaded nachos to pick up. Picked up our order, got home and what we got for loaded nachos was the end of the bag crumbs of nachos and cheese, no loaded ingredients. I called and they offered to replace - made a second trip to pick up the correct order. When I asked about a refund to compensate for our trouble, I was told he'd have to check with the manager. Fine. Apparently, the manager has no authority for service recovery. They wanted me to give them my contact information because the owner would have to get back to me. 1. That would require ANOTHER trip to get my refund, 2. I'm from out of town heading home tonight. I asked about a free food item as compensation, but that too has to go through the owner. I walked out dissatisfied and am planning other takeout for my next trips back. read more

Wings were good, not great.....draft beer was stale......service was horrible, waited for service.....atmosphere was adequate and clean for a saloon.....can't comment on restroom I wasn't there long enough to use.....a little over an hour....a disappointing experience for a first timer.....won't go back, too many others to spend my money at.... read more

Only giving two stars as they have good everything wings. Other than that older bar. Uncomfortable seating. Went on actual st pattys day for lunch as this is an Irish bar. I say actual because for some reason Utica needed to celebrate st pattys day three times this year in the month of march. I got a simple grilled cheese sandwich that was two slices on white bread with five slices of that packaged cheese. You know, the single slices of cheese that are individually wrapped in plastic. How did I know? Because it wasn't even melted LOL how do you mess up a grilled cheese. Oh did I mention we also waited about 40 minutes for the grilled cheese. Not sure how that happens. NYC bars and pubs put these types to shame. read more

Stopped in for a beer and a bite to to eat. The server was good but the food was not great. The fried pickles must have been fried in below temperature, old grease. We sent them back, they were that bad. BLT was just ok and wings are way overpriced. Not to mention that the beer didn't have any head on it at all. To me that says greasy glass! I had the worst service , the worst fish. It was dry smelly. I didn't finish. When the meal was over they brought a basket of rolls. On a scale of one to five. Five being the best I would rate them -1. And the health department should check their kitchen. read more

If I'm in the mood to spend the evening with a third of my graduating class, then Killabrew it is. To be honest, I usually visit this place once or twice when I'm back in CNY, mostly because I come back every 3 years or so at best. The place is your generic small town pub with a juke box and pool tables, but they have some good drink specials and some great chicken wings. read more

Why does this local restaurant have so few reviews? It makes the best chicken wings! Every time we visit our friend in Upstate, she always ordered wings from this place for us, and everyone was drooling and eating non-stop. Aww... I'm craving it again already! One star is appropriate for their amazing wings but I gave two in the hopes more people would read this review. If you ever want buffalo wings, get take-out from here. I will certainly do so next time I'm around. Some of the best outside Buffalo. I went to college in Utica and used to frequent this place, but unfortunately it's lost what charm it had. First of all, if you've spent countless hours and thousands of dollars here over the years, don't expect to ever get a free drink. Not even a cheap draft. Also, unless you're one of the old people sitting near the back door who's friends with the employees, don't expect any reasonable level of attention. On that topic of trying to give this business money, don't ever attempt to play some decent music on the jukebox. They keep the place in full-on library mode and hate any notion of making it like.. you know.. a bar in there. Or if you do attempt to liven the place up, they'll turn the volume up way too loudly in a passive aggressive way then another employee will turn it down so low you can't hear it. If you like wings, beer on tap and a laid back upstate NY neighborhood bar, this is a great place. The "everything wings" are so far beyond great there my not be a word for them. Add that to Labatts on tap and it's a winner all the way around. Note: if you are looking for great table service, a big menu, and a nice quiet evening, go somewhere else. read more

As a semi regular customer I absolutely love the wings and atmosphere, however today was the worst service I have ever had there. Starting out with our rude waitress Erica, she watched me pull a hair out of my soda and didn't say 1 word. There were hardly any customers in there at this point and it took over 40 minutes to get out our food, well I should say 3 out of the 4 of us got our food. After an additional 10 mins and a trip to the bar to ask about the food, our 4th finally got her food and the fish fry was ice cold. It took an additional 15 mins for our waitress to make her 1 and only check up on us where we informed her of the fish. She replaced the fish and that was that. We had to waive down other employees for drink refills and I personally had to walk up to the bar to get the check. I paid the bill then asked to speak to a manager to inform of this experience and mike the manager gave us a gift card for our next time in. Its a shame, cause I love this restaurant. Thank you mike for the gift card, definitely helps but next time we come in if Erica is working, we are just going to turn around and leave. read more

The food is great, the beer selection is exceptional. Evey time I come here there is new beers on tap and most are locally brewed! But!!! The bar tender that is younger and pretty good looking is actually extremely rude and treats you like she hates her job and the fact that you walked in during her shift. She will roll her eyes at you if you try to be personable with her. A smile can go a mile and if I could get one from her that would change my rating from 3 to 5. This can't be said about all the bar tenders as I have had conversations with a few and they are friendly. This particular one will only talk to her select few friends that show up and treats the customer second hand. She needs to be removed from the environment to make this place a straight 5! Not to stoop to her level but F Her! Love the bar and food, not her miserable life attitude! I've said my peace. read more

Came with the family and sat in the dining room on a mission to leave the house and have some laughs. The atmosphere and service allowed for just that, laughs and dining. The food was great and the service was sweet.... our server was there whenever we needed anything. We love these wings!!!!! read more

Ive been going to the Killabrew for at least 9 years now and it has become terrible! I purchased wings 3 times in the last 3 weeks and theyve been awful. Tonight was the last straw. The chicken wings were undercooked, the quesadilla was undercooked, the bar service very slow considering Nick and whoever the short blonde girl was, i think Leslie, were more concerned about there phones. Try to get their attention and they turn away. Im sitting there for over an hour and order shots and they try to make me pay before i get the shots...well considering you have my credit card on file with the open tab, try paying attention!!!! i doubt i would recommend this establishment to anyone because the food is disgusting, and service is slow and too preoccupied with their phones and other workers. The guy working the door should be in charge considering hes the only competent one there. read more

So I am in town for a few days doing some stuff at Utica College. I can to Killabrew Saloon for some wings because it was recommended by some friends. I was thoroughly disappointed when my wings came. First, there were 10 of us, and it took a lengthy time to get our drink orders in. She was a very sweet waitress, but either she was just slow, or she had too much on her plate. Next, everytime she brought a beer over, she split some of it on someone. Finally, with 10 of us, you would figure she would write down our order. Nope, she went through, and didnt write down our orders. We all order wings, with some sides. All had different sauces, all had different dressings. When the wings came out, all the dipping sauces were messed up. No biggie, but it was a simple fix if she would have written the order down. I had my first wing, it was okay. Nothing special. The next wing I grabbed felt like it just came out of the refridgerator. It wasn't the kind of cold when something is cooked and then left to cool. It was the kind of cold like it had just came out of the refridgerator. I mentioned it to the waitress, she took them back and told me they would be replaced. A few minutes later she brings back the SAME plate of wings. They had placed them in the microwave to heat them up. Cool. They were still cold. At this point, I don't even want them. Next, she brings our checks. They charged us ALL for celery and dipping sauces. Are you kidding me? No one wanted celery, and I think only one out of the 10 ate it. $1.50 for 4 small pieces of celery? And $.75 for a TINY cup of dipping sauce? Everyone knows you can by a thing of celery at the grocery store for less than $1. Just ridiculous. Anyway, when I come back to Utica to graduate next year, I will definitely avoid Killabrew Saloon, especially if I want their wings. read more
