Crafting a perfect sandwich takes experience and talent, and as an expert consumer with over 50 years of experience as a sandwich eater, I can confidently say Jimmy John's nails it. Jimmy John's uses fresh ingredients and assembles them neatly. I've never received a sloppily made sandwich from them. The proportion of turkey to lettuce to cheese is spot on. I hate overstuffed sandwiches with too much turkey, and Jimmy John's gets it just right. No crappy "cold cut" turkey here--it's the good stuff. One thing I love is that they scoop out some of the bread from inside the sub. This cuts down on carbs, holds the insides together well, and eliminates the problem of sub bread being too thick. The smart phone app lets you pre-order and you can tweek your option with about 20 options or just take the default sandwich. I add cheese and its easy to do on the app, Fast and easy. I've bought scores of the original Jimmy Turkey subs, and each one was made in about 30 seconds. They aren't kidding when they claim to be freakishly fast--they ARE fast. Lately, I've been getting the Mini Jimmy, taking it home, and making my own salad to supplement my dinner. Delicious. It's a small sub, just what I want sometimes. My recent addiction is the turkey sandwich on sliced wheat bread instead of sub bread. Their bread is delicious, and this makes for a great sandwich. I love this place. Visitors Jimmy John's and ordered the BLT- this is what I got.. well it's a nothing to rave about! The bacon was the precooked .... thin ... like microwaved stuff, except they don't warm it up before serving it.. pre shredded lettuce ... and tomato about 1.5 inch round slices. Drink selection.... We ordered 3 subs that are advertised as having extra meat, did not receive extra meat.... staff was not very friendly and gave us "the look". We were not impressed and will not be back. We can go to any number of mom & pop stores within 15 minutes in any direction and get more meat on our subs... without the attitude. Does your corporate office know how you treat your customers ? Just a suggestion that you may want to send one of your corporate Quality Control people in (undercover) with a video device so you can see the way that some of your staff treats the customer. Just sayin.... If I had the time, I'd go back in with my phone camera and show you how poorly some of your staff treats the customer. No more $$$$$$ from me. read more

It was fun eating here, from the moment we walked in we were greeted cheerfully to the discussion of the wall decor (I.e Warren Buffet quotes). The menu is large and visual. We asked what was good to order and the cashier quickly shared that the Italian Mix sub was the most popular. So we ordered that as well as a Tuna Provolone sandwich . Tuna salad had ample cucumber bits, which I think wasn't stated on the menu. The staff behind the counter all seem friendly and worked well together. The customers who were seated seemed happy and were enjoying the food and friendly discussions amongst themselves. All in all it was a nice first visit and I'd recommend checking them out. read more

Reilly is a very rude employee, I have always had a pleasant experience until this new girl started working | am genuinely appalled and that's an understatement. The food has always been very good no complaints there. I am a very loyal customer and the way I have been treated by this employee has made me not want to come back. I do not want to dis on this establishment what so ever, the rest of the workers have always been very kind to myself as well as others. I am not the type to leave a review like this but after seeing her accuse a friend of mine stealing something after the other workers have told us that students get a free drink, side, or dessert. She has served me the past two days I went and let's just say she is not made to be working in the costumer service industry as someone who works in the costumer service industry myself I feel as if I can say that. But fter a four-hour trip from downstate New York to Utica I was in the mood for a good sandwhich. I wanted to go to Jersey Mike's but Jimmy John's was closer to The Hamptons Inn Utica where I'm staying . I was damn tired. I figured let me try Jimmy John's. oh my God what a regret. The sandwich I ordered was the Vito. As soon as I took the sub out of the bag I could tell it was no Jersey Mike's ..it was on the flat thin side and when I unwrapped it I could see why. There was no overflowing meat and dressings dripping off like a Jersey Mike's sub... it was just a small simple plain sandwich with couple of slices of meat and a slice of cheese. I cannot believe I paid $10 for a combo for flat soda, chips and an ordinary sub with minimal meat and hardly any dressings. It's absolutely beyond my belief that a restaurant could stay in a business offering such poor quality sandwiches I mean again where the hell is the meat? A Subway sandwich is better and I hate subways! At Jersey Mike's you're paying the samebut the meat is Flowing off the sides of the breads. the dressings are overloaded it's such a substantial sandwich. I just finished this $10 combo and I'm starving ans pissed. I feel like such an idiot...they say variety is the spice of life and that's why I tried something different but I feel burnt conned and hungry. And as you can see ANGRY! I'm from out of town, and there are no Jimmy John's where I live, so we took a chance and placed an on-line order from the New Hartford, NY shop. Their online ordering is simple to do and you can completely customize your sandwich. They'll even label the sandwich with names if you put them in the order. The food was really good and fresh and tasted great. I ordered the ham turkey and provolone and the roast beef and ham sandwiches. They were both great. The 8 inch sandwich is plenty of food. The staff was friendly and the orders were accurate even though they were customized. Would definitely recommend. read more

Let me first start by saying that I really love the Jimmy Johns franchise. I lived in Austin TX and use to frequent one nearby my office. You would order your food and by the time you had paid you're sub was ready to go. It was a great quick meal with decent, consistent quality. That being said, our local franchise leaves a LOT to be desired!! The service here is terrible. I have gone here over a half a dozen times and I think only ONE of those times I received my order without issue. I know they are a new business and it can take a bit to get crew trained properly and iron out the kinks but I think the time for that has passed. If you decide to go here double and triple check your order before leaving or you will surely regret it. Better still, go across the street to the Italian Chef and get a sub for $5 and support local. A few weeks ago I received someone else's order thru the drive thru and called to let them know. I spoke to John and he indicated he would be putting my name on a list to receive a free sub next time I was there. Well, I went there today and they said that I already received it a few times already and they were not giving me a free one.
