Ordered a macchiato. Cost $3 and I've had some small macchiatos before but this was a little ridiculous. This was how full it was and this is probably an 8-10 oz glass mind you. Fancy, hipster coffee bar in the Gulch. The coffee was fine, but the coffee shop itself is very small and, being connected to the hotel and having two entrances, is quite loud. There aren't many chairs or places to sit. I'm not sure if the hotel allows you to enjoy your coffee in the gorgeous lobby just steps away if you're not staying there. It's fine coffee that I wouldn't mind grabbing to go if I'm walking in the Gulch, but there's not way I'd go here otherwise (no parking, few eats, not quiet). It's essential a coffee shop for tourists staying in the Gulch or those brave Nashvillians who still dare to go to the Gulch (I will every 8 months or so for a dinner at a restaurant). I had an iced coffee, hazelnut croissant and chocolate croissant. The coffee was strong and the croissants were quite big. I found the hazelnut croissant was a crunchier version of the chocolate croissant. Both were soft, sweet goodness. This coffee shop was pretty good! I got a iced dirty chai and my girlfriend got the iced vanilla latte and we both liked our drinks! The biggest complaint I have about this place is that they have very little seating. They probably have seating for about 10 people to sit comfortably inside but that number goes down if those ppl have laptops and are trying to do some work. Great coffee... Terrible attitudes from the blue haired girl working there. I pulled my mask down for a moment to be able to speak clearer to her (through a giant plastic barricade) And not even a millisecond went by and she was like "can you please put your mask back on" in the nicest but rudest most condescending way possible. Like I was the disease or something. Then my friend went again today and came up with my coffee for me and was also complaining about how rude the staff was when she asked for a straw for her iced coffee... (I was like that girl with the blue haircolor???) (yes) she said the girl acted like she was the worst person ever for even asking for a straw . Ehhh.. decent place if you're like dying for a cup or need the wifi to work but honestly, I couldn't focus. It was so loud too, I guess you can't expect much attached to a hotel but the coffee was like dirt water. They have all these fancy types but their beans blow. As much as I hate Sbux I almost considered going over there but I love to support local business. If you want all coffee you have to get a large hot. I was shocked when the iced was teeny tiny. And they have the pour over but it just doesn't seem worth it with such small sizes for a high price. Found this place while we waiting to be served in Biscuit Love. I LOVE LOVE their ice Latte(when i am lucky to have the good ones), my husband and i both loved that latte so much that we went back there every morning non stop for another 3 days, the reason i only give them 3 stars was because their latte taste so different/inconsistency (in a bad way) on day 3, i thought they forget adding vanilla flavor(for extra 50 cents) so i requested to add more, but latte still taste so bad(like coffee bean get burned or something), so disappointing that i didn't even bother to sip any of the latte. read more

Just grabbed quick coffees to go to drink in line for Biscuit Love. My friend and I checked the menu ahead of time to see what we each wanted since one of us was going to have to stay behind so we didn't lose our place in line. When my friend got there she didn't see either of the drinks we had chosen on the menu. Apparently they had just changed a bunch of stuff and no longer had those drinks. She went with a safe bet and just ordered two Carmel Lattes. They were pretty good, but I would have liked to try the Zebra Latte I had my heart set on. It was then easy to see why there was always a line there! And oh my, the breakfast sandwiches were killer. My husband had the vegetable croissant today, which doesn't sound that good but it was one of the best things I've ever had! (Kept stealing bites!) The Thompson has come out of the gate doing a lot of things really well. I haven't stayed at the hotel but I am impressed with the properties they have on site. They're all different but they all adhere to the same standard. As crowded as The Gulch is, there are now many more reasons to Lyft your way to the neighborhood. One of those reasons is Killebrew. Set just off the lobby of the hotel, this upscale coffee shop has everything you need: friendly baristas, excellent drink choices, pastries, a great soundtrack, comfortable seating, and interesting decorative elements that invite you in to the space. When I went, there wasn't a menu so the barista rattled off an impressive list of coffee choices. I can't imagine that doing so over and over again is fun so, I'm guessing, menus are forthcoming. Not being much of a coffee guy (I'll drink the stuff but I don't go looking for it), I opted for a chai... as did my friend. But, here's the rub: there were two chai choices. One was the typical masala chai (I got). My friend got the tumeric variety! I loved the fact that there were two, distinct chai options in addition to all the various coffee varietals. There was a slight mix-up and we were given our orders in to-go cups, despite saying that we planned to stay in the shop but that's a trifling matter. The shop *is* small so I would warn against posting up with a laptop and taking valuable real estate. If you *have* to do something like that, the hotel offers seating just outside the shop that should accommodate all your won't-work-from-home needs. The two chais with tax came to just shy of $10. Yes, it's overpriced but it's The Gulch. You have to expect it. I'm not much of a coffee guy and I don't go seeking it out but when I am in the neighborhood and I want to rest for a bit and warm up in the coming winter (if it ever gets cold), I know just where I'm headed. read more
