These guys are amazing and they meet you at your budget. They are professional, positive & their work is precise. They care about the results just as much as the customer. They did an amazing job with our garage. Their results speak louder than my words. They're also great human beings and so easy to work with. That's why I will hire them again & again & again!

I was interested to work w/ Elanteric after seeing a previous raving review on here with very similar needs as us. We were looking for electricians to basically rewire our entire house that last had electric work prob around the 1950s and badly needed an electric update. For example, we couldn't turn on a specific number of electric appliances at the same time otherwise our house would get a blackout. We were able to complete the entire electric upgrade project in about 2 weeks (the days were spread apart), and were very pleased with how quickly the entire project moved. The Elanteric team was very communicative with us, therefore we were always aware what rooms would be worked on during their next visit and how much they were able to complete during that day. This house project was a challenge for our entire family as there were 2 of us who were also working remotely while the Elanteric team was working, but Elanteric made it as smooth as possible for us. We never had major power issues-- if Elanteric ever had to turn off the power temporarily (5-10 minutes or so), they would give us enough warning time and/or provided a generator therefore we never lost power for a long duration of time. In addition, our family never had to leave the house or lost all connection to power for more than 30 minutes. By the end of each day the team was working, all the new electric work they worked on was up to speed and we were able to enjoy the new electric work immediately. Book Elanteric if you need any electric work! Their schedules definitely fill up quick!

I recently hired Aryan and the Elanteric team for a 200 amp panel upgrade and removal of knob & tube for my 1930s home, and I couldn't be happier with the exceptional service provided. From start to finish, Aryan demonstrated a high level of professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail that surpassed my expectations. First and foremost, communication was outstanding. Aryan promptly returned my initial inquiry and scheduled a convenient time for a thorough assessment of my electrical system. He patiently listened to my concerns and explained the entire process, ensuring I understood the scope of the project and addressing any questions I had. Aryan and his team arrived punctually and maintained a clean and organized work environment throughout the entire project. They carefully removed the old knob and tube wiring and replaced it with new romex, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and local regulations. What impressed me the most was Aryan's attention to detail. He meticulously labeled all the circuits and junction boxes, making it easy for me to identify each one. I now have the cleanest panel ever. Moreover, they went the extra mile to optimize the wiring layout, ensuring improved efficiency and minimizing the need for future maintenance. On top of all that he helped me run Cat 6 throughout my entire house...for free. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. Aryan used high-quality materials and employed precise techniques during the entire process. He took the time understand our set up to ensure that outlet and ethernet placement makes sense and paid close attention to every connection and ensured the wires were neatly arranged, resulting in a clean and organized electrical system that surpassed my expectations. Furthermore, the electrician's knowledge and expertise were evident in their ability to troubleshoot and solve any unforeseen challenges encountered during the rewire. They demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness, finding practical solutions without compromising on safety or quality. In terms of pricing, the electrician provided a fair and transparent estimate upfront, which remained consistent throughout the project. Considering the complexity of the task and the exceptional quality of work delivered, I am more than satisfied with the value for money I received. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Aryan and his team for anyone in need of a panel upgrade, knob & tube removal, and a whole house rewire. Their professionalism, expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable.

Aryan and the team at Elanteric were very professional and courteous. They booked me in same day for a 240v breaker box to outlet install on the 2nd floor. The job was a bit complicated, but they handled it within the budget estimate and patched and cleaned everything before they were done. My washer dryer combo is now installed and works great. Thanks Elanteric!

Bijan and his company are 5 star Generals! Very hands on and willing to make things right! I am excited to move forward with a job.

Tomer "Tom" was amazing to work with. He took the time to explain everything and really listened to my concerns. His customer service was top-notch, and he made the whole process feel easy. Pricing was competitive and the work itself (after approved by city) only took 2 days. That alone deserves an award! I've worked with many contractors/companies in the past, and SLR truly exceeded my expectations. If only every company could be as great as SLR Roofing, the world would be a much better place!

*Would Hire Again*…read more [Project Scope] Re-roof on a one story single family house, including new underlayment, drip edge, composite shingles, plus sheathing repairs and ventilation updates. FWIW, in my line of work we nit-pick over details & craftsmanship. I bring those expectations--for better or worse--to maintaining my house. Unsurprisingly, I tend to find some level of fault with any contractor. [Communication] The project manager (Danny) and front office (Melissa) were quick to answer the many questions I had via email, text, and phone. They were patient while I took my time selecting a contractor. They also coordinated directly with my solar contractor so the rooftop PV system was off the roof for no longer than necessary. The PM was out briefly each day to check the work and collect payment. [Availability] I didn't need the work done urgently, but Smart Roofing did start work within two weeks of signing the contract and finished within 3 days. [Warranty] One reason I chose this company was their standing as Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, which gets a workmanship warranty backed by Owens Corning (except the solar penetrations in our case), should the contractor ever go out of business. [Workmanship] Crews (separate tear-off and install) were on-time, respectful, and cleaned up each day. Overall, the work appears to be done well, though I'm no roofer. The way some of the holes in the roof were cut and flashings set did seem to be rushed, but so far it's watertight and that's what matters. The original sheathing had large gaps, which I asked to be fixed, although they may have done so without my asking, that wasn't communicated one way or another. They handled the addition of an exhaust vent flashing, relocation of a vent flashing, and removal of an unused vent flashing as per my request. [Issues] At some point, the furnace b-vent was pushed into the attic, breaking an elbow inside the attic. I ended up getting the part and doing the repair myself. Similar as well with the water heater b-vent: it was pushed down and crushed a section, but wasn't caught by the crew. Plus, the vent was reset at an angle so it's now pressed up against the house. Finally, while cleanup went fairly well, there was still trash and a few handfuls of nails scattered throughout the property, roof, and gutters--a small complaint and probably par for the course. Slightly-related... at no point did a Simi Valley building inspector come onto our property. For both inspections, a truck appeared across the street, yet no one got out. No looking at the back of the roof, no rooftop inspection, no check that sheathing was sound and work done correctly. What a joke, that $560 payment to the city. Thanks, Danny and crew, for the work!

From the start, communication was poor. They repeatedly blamed permitting and city hall for delays, promising the permit was "always around the corner" and that we'd be first up once the new year started -- that never materialized on time. When heavy rains hit in mid-January and the leak was getting worse, I pushed them to tarp the roof in the meantime. They tarped the wrong unit of our duplex. The tarp was also done so poorly it was flying off the roof, and our tenant's unit continued to leak throughout. By mid-February they still hadn't broken ground, this time blaming the rainy season. Work only started after I pushed them again. Once the project was underway, the original estimate ballooned -- they came back asking for roughly $1,000 more for the solar work and additional roofing costs. We paid what we felt was fair and moved forward. The final straw: after they issued a "final invoice" and we paid it in full -- believing we were done -- they came back asking for an additional $3,250. They apologized for "any inconvenience" as if it were a scheduling mix-up, not a failure to communicate thousands of dollars in charges before issuing a closing invoice. The roof work itself may be fine, but the experience getting here was exhausting. Constant runaround, poor follow-through, a botched tarp job that made our tenant's situation worse, and financial surprises at every turn. We would not recommend or use them again.

    (145 reviews)

Based on consistent good reviews, I contacted Shelter in August of 2025…read more We had experienced numerous electrical power outages for several years, so I began to investigate possible solutions. What I wanted ideally was a system that would automatically power our home in the event of a power failure. I initially looked at generator systems, but discovered several downsides to that technology. Generators need fuel, which could be be gasoline, diesel, or natural gas. Of these, natural gas was the most attractive, but that would require significant trenching for a new line around the house. In addition, placement of a generator was a problem, due to zoning requirements. Also, gasoline/diesel/natural gas generators have an internal combustion engine, which needs maintenance, like oil changes. The best solution for me was to have a battery backup system installed. This type of system is also known as a "power wall." Shelter recommended a 2-battery system made by FranklinWH (WH stands for Whole House). The batteries are 15 KWH each, for a total of 30 KWH. In our case, this is sufficient to power our home for 24 hours, even during the summer when we are using the central A/C. Other times of the year, 30 KWH would power everything for 48 hours or more. Since installation we have had several power failures, ranging from a few minutes to several hours. In all cases, the backup system kicked in so quickly that didn't even notice. We didn't even have to reset any clocks. When then grid power comes back online, the batteries recharge automatically. Shelter did a great job of understanding what we wanted, and provided an excellent solution. We had a very minor issue that we noticed several months later, and Shelter responded immediately to remedy the issue. I recommend Shelter Roofing and Solar without hesitation.
