This location is conveniently located near Snug Harbor. So, my friend and I stopped by for lunch prior to visiting the cultural center. For lunch, they only offer salad, sandwiches & pizza (no pastas). The sandwiches look decently sized & delicious, but I wasn't craving a sandwich. My friend and I decided to share the MUSHROOM PIZZA. It's a decently sized thinly made pizza. There's exactly 6 slices, so we were able to evenly split 3 pieces and it was enough to keep us satisfied. It is a white sauce base with a good spread of mushroom all over with a truffle flavors! It is good. I also got to try one of their craft beers. The most appealing to me were their tart ales, which were all fruity. I learned that they make all their beers in-house! I decided to get the GIMME GIMME PINEAPPLE MANGO. This drink is delicious! First of all, the smell was enough to appease me. And the taste matched it all. It definitely is tart, but it's great for any cider fans or a good introduction to any non-beer people. Alright, finally finally made it to the *newish* Killsboro spot. Rolled up around opening time on a Sunday alongside a few families. I had the Czech style beers and a calzone. So good. Hubby had the Vienna lager and a steak Sammie. Also excellent. The space is open and airy with grand windows that will roll up in the summer. The service is great, from the dining room to the bar. I keep coming back here since it opened because it has suchhhhh a good, elevated ambiance for grabbing drinks with friends. While I've tried their pasta, the pizza is the main star of the show. I've had both the Red and Hot Pepperoni square pies and their crispy, cheesy under-crust is just something you're not getting anywhere else. The Fingerling potatoes are also always a hit amongst every group I've came with because of their crispy and savory profile. Finally got the chance to dine here with my little family and friends. We ended up sharing all the dishes- I seriously can't stop thinking about the pasta. Both were cooked perfectly- the mafaldine with mushrooms was so good we had to order a second bowl and the spicy vodka rigatoni was able to be modified for our little ones and my daughter devoured it. Pizza was decent- the square was more like a dressed up focaccia and even though I expected the round pie to be a thinner and crispier, it was still very good. The original Kills Boro had a cozy and laid back atmosphere. This second rendition located not too far from the original has a sophisticated ambiance. Modern Italian restaurant does Brewery. Still welcoming. Still great beer. But here, you can dress up for a date night or host a special occasion. The space is large with high ceilings. There's a sun room with enormous retractable windows. This section of Richmond Terrace is tree lined, so there nearly no sign that an industrial port sits just across the water. I believe the tap list here is even bigger than the original location. I believe there were around twenty drafts. About a half dozen were poured on Czech style taps which have become trendy in NYC in recent years. The beer selection has shifted towards more sessionable Czech and German styles though you can style find boozy options like an IPA or stout. Service was super hospitable and accommodating. It's beautiful inside. The interior decor is so pretty. Service and hostess were friendly. No lunch menu yet, however pizzas were $25+. A bit pricey for pizza and it wasn't all that. Large selection of drafts and some cocktails. Giving city prices even though you're on Staten Island. I'd stop by for a drink and maybe pass on the pizza. We recently visited kills Boro and the place itself is absolutely beautiful. The maître d' was wonderful very kind and extremely accommodating. We were traveling with my father-in-law, who wasn't comfortable sitting at the high-top tables. Even though he couldn't promise anything over the phone, when we arrived he made sure to seat us in the dining area at a very nice table. I was super happy, and so was my father-in-law. One downside is that the restaurant is very loud. The acoustics make the noise bounce around the room, so it can be hard to hear your own group's conversation. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the calamari and a few other appetizers, which came out quickly. However, we found the dinner menu to be very limited, and it took us a while to decide because there weren't many options to choose from. Some of my family members were disappointed by the lack of variety. One ordered the lasagna special, and while it tasted good, the portion size was extremely small, especially for a grown man who's almost six feet tall. The drinks were great, and the overall vibe of the place was lively and enjoyable. The prices were a little on the higher side, but with everything going up these days, it's understandable. My hope is that they eventually expand their menu selections. Overall, it's a lovely spot, and while I'm not sure we'd return because of the limited menu, it's definitely worth trying you never know, you might love it. read more

So where to start? Place just opened days ago. They are still working out some kinks. I.e service is slow, drinks took a while to come out. All things to be expected. Food is great but it is very small portions. Menu is also small. Just some pizzas and pastas. Lunch is not available yet. The place is beautiful, they put alot of money into the decor. They have valet parking which is great. Drinks were ok. I have to dry the beers next time. Francesco the manager came over to check on us which was very nice. I would definitely go back. I had dinner at Kills Boro Brewing Company, which opened last month in Randall Manon. In addition to a big selection of beers which are brewed on-site, they also have a wide variety of cocktails and wine. The menu is Italian- centric, featuring mainly pizzas and pastas. We shared two pizzas - which were delicious - the square in particular, which was super light and crispy. I like citrusy beers like Schofferhoffer, so I tried their One If By Land but honestly, the lemon escaped me. By 6 PM, there isn't an empty table; make sure you have a reservation. Street parking only, which can be tough. The brewery is only a mile from the Ferry Terminal, about a $15 ride with Lyft. The brewery takes the name Kills from the name the Dutch settlers gave to the nearby waterways. Beer making in this area goes back two centuries, led by German immigrants. read more

Kills boro killed it. Stopped here for lunch out of the way on a little trip, just passing through, and now I'd consider this a must go to spot! We had the anchovy round pizza, which was very good if you like anchovies, the dough and style of cooking was more of a Neapolitan meets New Haven meets New York. This is a new and improved location and space from the old space. It is much bigger, super modern and has a great location on the water. The dining room is beautiful. The new brewery is incredible modern and well equipped and allows them to make far boor beer than before for distribution. Aside from that...we collectively tried 7 different pizzas...all were really delicious, though they are NOT NYC size pies, they are pies that one to two people could consume together. My favorite was a square pie that I've never seen anywhere else...it was a STREET CORN PIZZA and it was so good I'd come back just for that!! Now of course the main reason to come is their BEER. It's an extensive menu and we enjoyed everything we tried. I really enjoy their Pilsners here. Service is top notch and its definitely place everyone in your party will like. Finally got to Killsboro for a birthday dinner with family. We ordered three round pizzas and the large plate Rigatoni with Spicy Vodka sauce over fried chicken cutlets . All our pizzas were excellent, the crust and the sauce and topping combinations were amazing. The large plate was $74 which at first I thought was expensive but when it was served it was large enough to feed 3-4 people. I am not a vodka sauce person but the use of the diced pancetta with the Calabrian chili made it a dish worth repeating. The service was spot on and the manger was very attentive and engaged with the customer. At $25 on average for a round pie I was very happy as they were not your standard pizzeria pies but a more authentic Italia style pizza. We also did enjoy several of the Killsboro beers on tap. There's a lot to love about Kills Boro, and a few things that definitely left me scratching my head. First off, the beer is absolutely the highlight here. As a brewery, the selection is top-notch, and more importantly the beer prices are actually reasonable. That's refreshing, especially for a place putting out this kind of quality. The bartenders deserve a serious shoutout too friendly, attentive, and they really know their stuff. A+ service all around. Now for the other side of the coin... The cocktail pricing is outrageous. $19 for a drink? That's higher than many spots I've been to in Manhattan. I was genuinely surprised I expected a premium, but not that premium. At least bring it down to the $15 range if you want it to feel fair. The food is a mixed bag or rather, the pricing is. The pizza? Delicious. Great crust, quality ingredients, made by clearly talented chefs. But $30 for a pie, and $8 extra for anchovies? That's wild. I get it's gourmet, but even high-end spots in the city don't go that far. Overall, there's a lot done right here the beer, the vibe, the staff, and the food quality but the value doesn't always add up. I'll definitely be coming back, but strictly for the beer. read more

Food and service and beer are top notch as are the prices to reflect that. There's an overall chill vibe in this place. I have been there multiple times and enjoyed every visit. Although I've tasted most of the delicious pizza, the entrees are also highly recommended. I've had almost every protein entree and will be trying the pastas on my next visits. My favorite pie is the sausage with Calabrian chili (well done) and the pepperoni is a close second. The beers speak for themselves however the maple old fashioned is a perfect drink as well! read more
