We had the BAKED LEMON COD Seasoned and finished with a lemon butter sauce, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables RED SNAPPER (STEAMED) Delicately steamed whole red snapper with vegetables Both were dishes were cooked to a perfection. The fish melted in our mouths and every mouth full rippled with flavor! The establishment is family-owned. We especially enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It is welcoming and friendly. We met Burak, Yidis, and Delma, owners of the restaurant. Very nice people! We would recommend this place for a cozy lunch or dinner, with friends and family. First time to this fairly new establishment. Greeted warmly by staff -for the table -roasted red pepper dip with walnuts which was one of my favorite things served with warm cut up pita bread which wasn't enough for the pepper dip and the mezze so you have to keep asking for more bread. Maybe serve whole pieces of pita? - cold appetizer - Mezze trio of eggplant salad , one of the most amazing tzatzikis I've ever had, and hummus. The eggplant salad tasted a little bitter to me. - my main was whole fried snapper. Nice and crunchy but a little bland. Small side salad also was a little bitter tasting. Lemon potatoes were a little disappointing. They could be a little more lemony. - friend had baked cod with potatoes and seasonal veggies. Desert was written on menu as strawberry crème brûlée but it was actually regular crème brûlée with small slices of strawberries on the edge. It was delicious. There has been a surge of Mediterranean restaurants opening in Staten Island and there is a lot of competition. There's a small parking lot in the rear so that helps since New Dorp is tight. Service was excellent. Clean restroom. Glad to see a large crowd dining on a Friday evening. read more

We had a wonderful birthday celebration for my friend last night at Seabass Taverna. To start, we had their homemade hummus and fried zucchini chips. For main courses, grilled branzino, grilled sardines, and lamb chops, accompanied by salad and roast lemon potatoes. For dessert, a halva pudding. Discovered this gem for Greek cuisine a few months back and have returned twice again. Primarily seafood but they do meats of all kinds exquisitely. Service is exemplary and the upscale sea chanty vibe is pleasant. They do a delicious Butcher's Board for two or more with chicken kebab, beef Kefta, lamb chops, angus hanger steak and beef kebabs served with mixed veggies and lemon potatoes and a delicious dressing for the meats. All were succulent, flavorful and tender. We were full with no appetizers this go round. They provided on the house a plate of fresh tzatziki drizzled w/ good olive oil and warm pita wedges. Server staff are all pleasant and engaging. On previous outings, we've had the spicy version of their frutti di mare pasta with some 6-7 types of seafood. Wonderfully spicy and cooked to perfection. Wife had the Branzino. On two occasions, a house desert of halva was provided as an added treat. Very accommodating and welcoming. read more

each time we went to this restaurant, we had a great experience. The food is always delicious the owners and the staff are so attentive and caring ,the appetizers salad main course desserts are always right on the money. My only negative is the fact that the pricing of drinks are-extremely high. charging Manhattan pricing here Staten Island for a place where you want to go and spend time and maybe have a few cocktails becomes out of reach. I hope they reevaluate that situation and rectify that but besides that great restaurant great food great people. read more

I *had* to see what their endless menu was all about. At $49 per person (and an additional $22pp for endless drinks), the selection, quality, value, and service were incredible. I love trying unique seafood dishes as much as I like playing the classics, and this place has something for everyone. And since the dishes are essentially served family-style, it's so easy to try a little bit of everything. Let me cut to the chase: in a party of 3, my table ordered 26 different dishes, from starters to entrees to desserts. The portions are perfectly sized to be shareable, and the staff was extremely kind and personable, explaining how the endless menu works, describing dishes, and even offering second servings. There were no misses. My favorites were the New England clam chowder, grilled octopus, oyster rockefeller, crab cake, penne vodka shrimp, linguine white clam, and frutti di mare. Even the chicken francaise and angus hangar steak were very worthy choices! Can't recommend this spot enough. Definitely worth a visit (or several)! read more

We wanted to try a new place for dinner last night and tried this place that we saw opened across from precious island. It was cute inside and the staff were all nice, but the food was off the mark. The paella was far too salty, but the seafood was cooked pretty well. Couldn't say the same for the grilled octopus app. What they did to his body was a shame, just gristly and overcooked - seemed like it was already a cooked tentacle and they put it on the grill for color. Drinks were good and strong though, so props on that. I'm in no rush to come back, but I might consider trying again in the future should I hear a good update. read more

Went to dinner last night for the first time. Had the Tuna Tartare, Octopus Ceviche, Arugula Salad. All were fantastic! For dinner I chose a grouper and had it broiled. Very tasty and fresh. It came with a side of potatoes and onions that was charred beautifully and tasty They also deboned the fish table side. Felt like I was back in Greece :) The waitstaff was extremely friendly and professional. We also enjoyed the drinks - they were able to accommodate my dirty martini (not on the drink menu) and it was fantastic. Nice atmosphere. Had some Mediterranean music playing in the background which was nice. They gave us complimentary Turkish tea - very hospitable touch. Looking forward to check it out on a weekend night. If the lights are more dim I think it will add to the vibe :) gem of a place for Staten Island! Hope to be a regular there read more

Unlike some other restaurants in the area, this restaurant is cozy, with a lovely and warm atmosphere, and a top notch service. The owner is a sweetheart, who came to us and let us know about the menu, made funny banter, and even offered us complimentary foods! We were waited on like kings the entire time! There is so much attention to detail throughout the entire place! It's Aegean Mediterranean theme. With lots of seashells (I loooove seashells), fish, ships, and even fake windows with a view of Santorini. The food was very good too. My favorite was the ceviche. So zesty and tart!
