We were brought to an exam room that was bright and comfortable with two oversized chairs for my wife and I to sit in and a throw rug on the floor for the puppy to play on. The exam table was folded up to the wall and was never needed, making it a much more comfortable visit. Dr. MacArthur sat on the floor with our puppy to examine her and make sure she was comfortable, which was a huge success. She patiently answered all of our questions, went through a list of things to keep an eye on, and even brought up emergency preparedness, which no other vet has done with us before for our other dog or past kitties. She talked through the vaccines in detail with us, including the optional ones, and with the help of her tech (Alex I think?), they came up with the most convenient and cost-effective way for us to get the vaccines and boosters managed. The cost of the visit was incredibly reasonable and it was a fantastic experience for us. We plan to transfer our other dog's care to there as our old vet is now too far away. We look forward to visiting again and getting to know the rest of the staff.

They were able to de-mat one of our Persians in less than 15 minutes using only treats, while our last vet said she needed a sedative. The staff were great through the trying time of COVID-19 and always show empathy towards the pets and people who come through their doors. They also are great at listening and make sure you are aware of cost options for services. Dr. Rossi always takes time to discuss any concerns I have and I really appreciate it because I know time is precious in his line of work. Caring Hands is my favorite vet service in NoVA! 2019: We came to Caring Hands on recommendation from a friend, after having less than satisfactory experiences with our last vet. We are so glad we made the switch. Everyone at Caring Hands is kind, courteous and really cares about you and your pet. My pups see Dr. Rossi and he does a great job addressing any and all concerns, as well as clearly explaining our options. Thanks!

This is disrespectful to say the least. No one addressed me to tell me "We will be right with you" or offering me water or anything. I was sitting there without being acknowleged. We have been very loyal customer for over 10 years now. We have a dog and a cat. This time the appointment was for my cat. I needed to take her there just for an evaluation in order to get her food prescription. I let them have it. I took my day off to take my cat and this is how they treated me. From now on, I will go some place else where I am treated with kindness and respect.

No more dragging both my animals to a place where lots of other animals are hanging around. Just my fur babies and me =) Normal Vet - they take your pet to the "back" behind the nice front desk area where you can't see what's going on, you can only HEAR it - the distress and cries from your furbaby. Dr.Villar, not only is he so, so kind, but he is also so knowledgeable and takes the time to explain. He does not rush your appointment or not take what you have to say into consideration. I have moved away from the veterinary clinics in favor of Dr. Villar - that is not to say that if he decided to open a place, I would not go - he is just that wonderful. TRY this - totally worth it if you have more than 1 pet, even more worth it.

They were patient, answered all my questions, and patiently assessed the situation and walked us through the next steps. Prescriptions were thoughtfully submitted where I needed them and anticipated all of our needs for what I consider a complex care situation. While I like my traditional veterinarian, the visits were too stressful for my ailing cat. I am extremely surprised to find that the veterinarian care received with the in-home visit by Dr. Villar exceeds my experience with my in-office veterinarian and advice received by my traditional veterinarian. Solutions were offered to me by Dr Villar that my traditional veterinarian never even suggested. Issues that I struggled to get my in-office veterinarians to understand were explained to me by Dr Villar before I even brought the issue up. This to me is the difference in experience! Further, the recommendations of Dr Villar are simple and cost-effective as compared to my in-office veterinarian who offered only the most expensive of options. Also, in comparison, my in-office veterinarians are younger and lack the abundantly apparent experience of Dr. Villar. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience! As for cost, this too, was very reasonable and I regret not finding him years earlier!

I've had hit or miss experiences with vet specialists, and I was apprehensive about having to bring my pup to another specialist. Let me tell you- the team was great. Drs. Hollingsworth and Divita explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I never felt like they were upselling treatments to me (like I've felt at other clinics). They were patient, knowledge, personable, and caring. Logistically - parking was easy, my appointment started on time, and the check out process was fast.

BVNS saw Buster the next day. Figured Out he had tetanus and his diagnosis was guarded with a 50/50 chance of survival. The Vet, Dr. Bensfield gave me choices and even gave me a recommendation on what she would do when I asked her. She clearly explained the risks and possibilities of all options. I was very nervous to take my dog home, he had a feeding tube, his jaw was expected to lock so he couldn't open it and that he had a possibility of choking which could result in a fatal outcome. But, BVNS updated me often while he had surgery (even texted me pictures), they drove many hours to get an antitoxin from 3 different locations, they sat with him and rubbed his head while he received the antitoxin which took over 2 hours each time. They insisted I called daily with an update and they even called me many times. My dog is 10 and has never ever liked going to a vet. Buster now loves the vet! He was upset the other day when we didn't go inside and just had a check on his feeding tube Carside to ensure it wasn't infected. They fixed my dog when it seemed there wasn't a chance. They were so kind and caring, they were so happy to know each time he showed a new improvement. They loved my dog as much as my family does and I am so grateful for their help and everything they did for us! Although I do not know all of the veterinary assistants names and even the receptionists names...I will tell you that every single one of them was so kind and beyond caring. This whole clinic has the best staff I've ever seen of any business. Truly so incredibly grateful for my dogs recovery....

The management appears unwilling to remedy this lack of accurate hours information even after I pointed it out. Midway through, two interviewers, Imani and Gao, began a lengthy discussion with each other regarding matters unrelated to the interview. This left me sitting in silence for an extended period. I was also asked questions unrelated to the position, including: "How has your boyfriend provided for you? What's his occupation?" "How did they hire Mexicans at your previous clinic?" "How many people were working in the back?" At one point, I was told that my written responses in the pre interview questionnaire stood out the most among all applicants. However, I was later informed I would not be selected because one of the three doctors preferred "straightforward answers" and felt my verbal responses during the interview did not meet that preference. It's no surprise they have remained understaffed for THREE YEARS. I am sharing this feedback to highlight concerns about professionalism, interview relevance, and potential inappropriate questioning during the hiring process. This entire experience was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and not a place I would trust with my pets or recommend to others.
