    Selection of fudge

On a visit to Naples, we were fortunate to locate a Kilwin's! They seem to always be located in touristy areas where parking is hard to find. That's not their fault that they are so popular! Just letting you know. We are diehard fans of Kilwin's so it's worth the hassle. My favorite of theirs is their fudge! No one makes it as delicious, smooth, melts-in-your-mouth fudge like Kilwin's does! We have tried fudge all over the world. However, they did not have my favorite plain milk chocolate fudge, not even with walnuts. They were out of it and it was only the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday! And they stay open late in the evening. Think of all the other distraught chocolate lovers like me that had to leave empty handed after driving 2 hours. They were also out of other wonderful flavors. I wanted to give 5 stars but just couldn't. Maybe next time.

    Chocolate fudge apple...ugh

Ice cream, like everywhere really good on a hot day. Carmel chocolate covered granny Smith apple - well better left on the shelf than to buy and eat. Looks good but horrible.

We had finished dinner about an hour earlier and walked up and down Fifth Ave before we came upon the line at Kilwins. Let's see...after dinner...an hour walking...and an ice cream place that's packed. Yep-gotta try it. Wifey and I split a single order of the chocolate salted caramel (no lie-best I ever had) and my kids ordered singles of mint chip and chocolate chip cookie dough. Nice serving sizes, prices weren't bad, and the ice cream was off the chart good! If you're in Maples and have a sweet tooth you have to try Kilwins.

A small location, and not as much stock as other Kilwins stores I've been at. There was hardly any peanut brittle and cashew brittle for sale, along with many of their other signature items. There's ice cream for sale at the back of the store as well. Staff weren't the friendliest. I asked if I could buy one of the bear claws on a tray displayed in front, and the staff member firmly said, "those are not for sale!". Alrighty then! I picked up some chocolates and peanut brittle and I was out of there. There's a few tables in front of the store where you can sit down and enjoy your treat.

Am in heaven. The visual alone of this store is breathtaking. It's like a chocolate fantasy. Everything here looks and smells so good and there is samples. I am in a heavenly dream. I had one scoop of dulce de leche and one of chocolate icecream. I do not recommend the mixture. Somehow one cancelled the other. Not my best choice but separate Wow!! The dulce de leche was perfectly made and it smelled so good. The chocolate icecream was deliciously creamy and Chocolatey. My boyfriend had I think called a Tuttle. That was one of the best things I had ever tasted. I think it had nuts, caramel, wiped cream and chocolate icecream in a Waffle cup. Everyone stared at it when it was served to him. Yes it looked that good. It tasted good too. I wish I had ordered one for me. This place gets really busy. The lines are long but the service is fast.

So we decided to go downtown tonight for dessert and it was super crowded! We waited in line for 15 minutes but I already had my eyes on the prize! I decided to have a single scoop of chocolate brownie ice cream with fudge and caramel syrup! They were out of fudge, which was a little disappointing so I had chocolate syrup instead. It was absolutely dish delicious!

Stopped in for some hard scoop ice cream. Over a dozen flavors to choose from. Samples if you want it. We chose a Cappuccino chip and mint chocolate chip in a cake cone. Really creamy and flavorful. Cones were crisp and fresh. Also a lot of chocolates to chose from if you're not looking for ice cream.

Great place for ice cream in downtown Naples! Super cute old fashioned parlor that has delicious, homemade flavors. I ordered the s'mores ice cream and it may have been one of the best I've ever had. The marshmallow presence was so sweet and paired so well with the chocolate bits. I could've eaten that all day! A little pricey for ice cream but delicious nonetheless. The parlor has lots of chocolate and candy options. You'll really feel like a kid in a candy store! I'd recommend coming here while visiting Naples.

Sad Excuse of Kilwin's "Signature" Turtle Sundae.

This place looks like a local shop, but it's a chain. Still, though, the ice cream is great. Get the waffle cone!

In a word, yum! Why else would you stand in line? I had chocolate fudge cashew (or something like that) and it was delish.

I tried the sugar-free Citric Substance in a waffle cone bowl and really enjoyed it. The liquid nitrogen process makes the ice cream extra creamy and smooth. Everything is made to order, so there are tons of flavors and mix-in options to customize. On our visit, one employee put your flavors together in a bowl, while another employee processed the Nitrogen portion. Cool to visit a company that was featured on Shark Tank back in 2013. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

My wife and I visited Sub Zero on a Wednesday night. One couple was there when we arrived, but by…read morethe time our ice cream was finished it was just us. The place has a good layout, with ice-cream themed decor and plenty of seating. The main area did have a wall stacked with dozens of boxes and a ladder in public view which could have been hidden away, but it was still comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful in explaining the process to us newcomers. You start with a size of small, regular or large (the small is pretty big, as it should be for the price) and a base (Original, Custard, Low-fat, No Sugar Added, Lactose Free, Yogurt (fat free) and Coconut (vegan). My wife chose the coconut as she is trying to limit Diary and I went with the original, both of us ordering a small. You can then choose one of their 12 pre-set menu items like the Chocolate Conduction or Strawberry Sigma which were the two my wife and I chose, or you can pick your own flavor (about 30 options) and Mix-in about 15 options or another apx 20 sweets like Cookie dough or Twix. My wife's strawberry was lovely, and mine was a bit rich, which I expected based on the ingredients. From here, they add the base and ingredients into a bowl, stir it up, turn non the nitrogen and you watch the worker mix it up for a few minutes. And the final product is some really nice tasting ice cream, made to your taste or diary preferences which are infante. The downside, it's expensive in my opinion. For two small ice creams, a bottle of water and the expected tip during checkout, it was $25.75. As much as I liked it, this will limit my coming back. It's novel and tastes good, but you are paying for the entertainment value which is also a drawback in that it's slow. Some ice cream places have a spout of free cold water on the counter and available to customers, which would be a nice touch considering the price point, saving me a few dollars of needing to buy a water, I think it's worth trying out if your pocketbook can accommodate.

I went with the Cookie Monster flavor because, well, I like cookies, and I like monsters--seemed like a win-win. What I didn't expect was the shocking amount of food coloring, which, let's just say, made for a memorable bathroom experience the next morning. I won't go into details, but I briefly considered calling a doctor before realizing, "Oh, right... the blue ice cream." Let's just say Cookie Monster left his mark in ways I wasn't prepared for. That said, would I come back? In a heartbeat. Would I order the Cookie Monster again? Probably... but with a little less fear.

It's not super intuitive, so I was glad to go with locals! There's a very long line near the entrance that snakes around, but if things are that busy they open a secondary line to the right, which seems to reward the locals in the know. You place your order and they don't scoop the ice cream immediately, but later on they start calling your name out at the counter. We ordered in a group of 4, and I was surprised to see that 4 different people scooped out our orders so they were calling out the name our order was under left and right. I tried the spumoni (chocolate, pistachio, and black cherry) and the dirty banana and they both were very true to their descriptions. There was a decent amount of seating but it was pretty packed so I think sometimes people were waiting around for a group to leave for the next table, but it wasn't too bad.
