However, for the price is a bit higher than the ordinary and for this location the system was down therefore, they only accepted cash. Very nice shop and great location on the 5th however we came for an ice cream... And the quality of the ice cream was really poor. Would rate the ice cream a 2 out of 5, much worse than a simple haagen dasz for example. Had chocolate and strawberry sorbet. read more

Fantastic ice cream and sweet shop! Long lines around dinner time, but it moves fairly fast. I went with a single scoop of turtle ice cream on a waffle cone...the waffle cone was warm. Now I'm tempted to go back and some of the other treats inside the shop. read more

I tasted the butter pecan, pistachio, chocalate and peanut butter, and the capucciano ice cream flavors and everyone of them had a unique taste to it. Very disappointed. Got a brownie sundae and the brownies were stale and horrible. They are not even homemade( came out of a Costco like container of brownies). Hot fudge was sickenly sweet without a lot chocolate flavor...like heated chocolate syrup. All for $6.50! Don't waste your money! read more

The smell from Kilwin's meets you a minute before you get there. I love the aroma of all their fresh chocolates. The ice cream is yummy and their scoops are generous. It does get crowded so prepare for a little wait in line. The prices are a little higher than other places but it's too good to care. read more

Fifth avenue in Old Naples, lots of restaurants, a couple of bars and shops. Wherever you eat (or drink) save room for ICE CREAM at Kilwin's. Watch them make their own cones and candy while you are waiting on line for the ICE CREAM. But don't get distracted because you are going to need some time to check out the flavor board for the ICE CREAM. I did not have a great experience at Kilwins. The waffle cones they made costed so much money ,but they tasted horrid! I would not recommend Kilwins! I had a sprinkled chocolate pretzel and the sprinkles were horrible! I quickly threw that out! read more

The first time I walked in, I smelt the delicious, fresh waffle cones bring made. This of course brought my whole family and I in. From what I have tasted in this shop, the ice cream is delicious. I 100% recommend cappuccino chocolate chip. Also, the location of this place is perfect: right on the main drag. However, I give Kilwin's a four star review because of the fudge I had that was dried up and was definitely not as fresh as it could have been. Still love you, Kilwin's! read more

Strolled into this place for a quick ice cream treat on a hot day in Naples. It was crowded, so I assumed it was good. Long line extending throughout the store for the ice cream but it was worth it in the end. Good quality cold stuff! A little pricey, but everything on 5th Ave is! This is one of my favorite ice cream places. The line is very long but it is worth every second of it. While you wait in line you can pick out some of their great chocolates and candies. I personally don't have a favorite ice cream flavor there because all of them are great, but I do recommend getting a waffle cone. read more

I grew up in Michigan where a summer trip to Mackinaw Island was almost mandatory. This is where I first experienced the Kilwin's Experience. We stopped there every trip for their treats - everything handmade, mind you. Peanut brittle like grandma used to make (only better...shhh), fudge, hand dipped chocolates, caramel apples and...wait for it...ICE CREAM!! The most amazing flavors, super creamy, fresh ingredients. Best ever and family owned! When my husband and I moved to Naples you can't imagine how excited I was when, on our first trip down 5th Avenue, I saw that familiar Kilwin's sign! I HAD to get in there! As I walked through the front door all those sweet memories rushed back to me. For an experience your kids will remember for a lifetime, do the occasional Kilwin's treat. Came here for dessert, and it was AWESOME!! First of all, there was a line out the door when we got there which is always a good sign! While there was a little wait, it was definitely worth it. They've got all kinds of treats here including chocolates and other candies, but the things to get are the fudge and the ice cream. While we were waiting in line for ice cream, we tried a couple of the fudge flavors which were awesome- that turtle fudge is amazing! For the ice cream, I'd definitely recommend doing it big. I got the waffle bowl with 2 scoops- I got 1 scoop of the new orleans praline pecan and 1 scoop of the naples mud. To top it off, I got hot fudge and chopped almonds. Everything together was just what I wanted- that praline pecan ice cream is creamy with the perfect amount of crunch from those pecans, the fudge was thick, warm, and chocolatey, and the waffle bowl was the perfect crispy complement to everything (and of course they make the waffle bowls and cones fresh in house!). Overall, this place is definitely worth factoring into your dinner plans if you're out in Naples, and I'll be back soon! read more

What a fun little ice cream shop nestled in the perfect spot on 5th avenue! The ice cream is absolutely delightful, rich, creamy, and so flavorful! It's no wonder everyone recommends Kilwin's! The girl who took my order was sweet, prompt, and delightful as well! I always eat too much at Kilwin's and always make a point to put regret aside before I walk through the front door. It's worth every calories consumed and worth the long lines too. First, I would like to say that yes the ice cream is some of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, I have some concerns about the behavior of a specific worker. My visits being regular, I have had many bad encounters with some of the workers here which are very unfortunate, but last night I had the chance to witness a very disturbing interaction between what I believe was the manager and the workers. I want to point out that they were all female, but he was the only male, tall, dark hair and he wore glasses if that helps at all. I have seen him a few times but all those times I am very disappointed to see that he is simply sitting down behind the counter on his phone. He looks to be a young man. The interaction I witnessed left me disgusted! He was not only yelling but using very inappropriate language towards the female workers. I had witnessed a scene beforehand but it seemed to have just been a misunderstanding between the customer and a worker. I am extremely discontented with this behavior. Another issue I have is the lack of masks being worn in the store by the workers. It is uncomfortable and there are social distancing markings on the floor but no one pays attention to them. I am hoping these issues are resolved soon or else I will discontinue my visits and spread the word about the happenings in this establishment. read more

funny how we have this chain at home and its not till we go to naples and try it out.... after a non pleasant meal we opted to have dessert somewhere else so we went here. this is a very popular spot on 5th ave and its not only cause of the ice cream. there is a great variation of delicious ice cream, but also fudge and other sweets. the smell of the fudge being made is a wonderful aroma which caresses your nose and makes your mouth watery!!! there were several plates of samples with a nice array of flavors on the counter of this delicious fudge. we were able to taste vanilla, mud, peanut butter and chocolate. all were yummy in its own special way!!! then we went onto the ice cream... the store clerks there are very nice, helpful and polite. even thou there was a waiting line for ice cream, whenever it was your turn they would take their time with you and assist you with samples of any ice cream you wanted to taste. we tasted several delicious ones and finally had the georgia peach on a waffle cone. this ice cream was creamy smooth with nice cold chunks of peaches placed onto a crispy golden fresh waffle cone!!! we were able to grab a small table up front and sit to enjoy our cone... loved it! read more

kilwins is always a pretty good place for deserts and chocolates if you're into that kind of stuff. personally everything here is a little too rich for my taste. i also have it on good authority that the fudge making process can be rather hot, causing some employees to sweat quite a bit into the actual fudge. now that i think of it that salted caramel fudge was a little heavy on the salt... read more

Very nice place but the outdoor seating is very limited. This establishment is losing countless dollars because tourists stop and occupy the outdoor seating without ever making a purchase. This evening, my kids and i sat next to a couple occupying a table for 4 people. They walked up to a Kilwin's outdoor table with their Starbucks' beverages, sat down and never walked in to Kilwin's. When another table for 2 became available, a woman sat down and began to smoke and text. When she got up, 2 men waiting impatiently for their spouses who were shopping at the trinket establishment next to Kilwin's, rushed the table, preventing a young couple walking out of Kilwin's, from sitting. The past 3 times my family and I have been on 5th for dinner, we declined to get Kilwin's afterwards because their outdoor seating was overcrowded by people who weren't eating any ice cream or hokding a table for anyone inside the store. Solution: Hire someone just to stand outside and kindly remind the weary tourists who already spent their dollars elsewhere, that the outdoor seating is for patrons of KILWIN'S. You'll make it back 10 fold Kilwin's! Yes, the affluent feel entitled and the foreign tourists are rude and trashy, sitting in your establishment's seating while preventing your actual patrons from enjoying your delicious offerings. read more
