    Hot chocolate

At the side entrance of this shop, they set up a table selling hot chocolate and chocolate covered pretzel sticks. This was during the Dickens Festival. The hot chocolate was rich and creamy. It had whipped cream on top. It was worth the $5 that I spent on it.

Just love this place. Came here on Sunday. Their fudge table was PACKED with many different flavors. I got lucky because they offered my three favorites that day: chocolate, chocolate raspberry and penuché. Every slice is extremely fresh and gooey. This is a must-visit shop!

This place has EVERYTHING!! Ice cream, chocolate, fudge, sweet tooth heaven/overload! Small place, but so much sweetness! I was in the mood for some ice cream and have been wanting to try this place for a while. What we ordered: - chocolate fudge brownie ice cream and chocolate salted caramel ice cream in a double waffle cone with hot fudge - chocolate fudge brownie ice cream and some marshmallow flavored ice cream in a double waffle cone We obviously ate with our eyes because we couldn't finish it. It was so good, though! I asked for a lid and can't wait to have it again later. The workers are fast and friendly. It looks that everything is made in-house. The ice cream is thick and tastes homemade. I really like in in there. I'll definitely be back, for sure.

This place is wonderful, great location! Right next too all the good restaurants downtown, perfect for a stop after dinner and too get someone something freshly made and amazingly creative! Everything is as delicious as it looks. Would highly recommend

Went here for an after dinner snack. The table was sticky and the ice cream portions was a bit small. The chocolate was good though.

I couldn't wait to zoom home and write this review. Why do you ask? Kilwins has opened in my back yard of Port Jefferson New York. Yes, there is a Santa Claus. If you don't know this brand, this is directly from their website: Our customers have come to know and love us as "My Kilwins" and share Kilwins with friends and family. Kilwins is where people celebrate, vacation, and share the experience of life, family, and gifting in a nostalgic Americana setting. Folks, Port Jefferson doesn't get any more nostalgic and Americana. I mean, during Christmas time there is an annual Dickens festival? What better setting than to have a Kilwins than in Port Jefferson? I introduce myself to, I assumed the owner. He tells me him & his wife raised their family locally to the area and this is their business. Well, you can't get any better than this location. The Port Jeff Ferry is bringing travelers from New England, motorcycles take over the small town as well as people looking to enjoy the area. Like caramel apples? This is one of Kilwins specialty items. There are at least 10 different flavors like Dark Chocolate Sea-Salt Caramel Apples, Peanut Caramel Apples, Pecan Caramel Apples to name a few flavors. This recipe caramel was developed by Don Kilwin and is still cooked today in traditional copper kettles. Do you like Nut brittles and crazy popcorns? Their hand crafted Corns and Brittles are also made fresh in traditional copper kettles. Their signature Nutcracker Sweets are made with combining popped corn, almonds, pecans, and caramel. Mmmmm mm! Ice Cream? It's also fresh and crazy good. They use Michigan Cherries to make their outrageous Cherry Ice Cream. My wife tried Coconut Ice Cream today, its just a flavor sensation that shouldn't be missed. Kilwins of Port Jefferson, I'm proud to call you "My Kilwins"

Kilwins is a chain that feels like a local mom & pop candy store, this one located right on the main strip across from the water in Port Jeff. When you walk in, you'll often find someone working on handmade taffy or some other tasty morsel, and I've been offered free samples on more than one occasion. They have a large selection of ice cream and beautiful chocolates. I'm also a big fudge fan and have tried the classics and unique flavors (turtle and mud fudge are my favorites). Have never been disappointed! Only downside is that sometimes in the summer lines can be quite long- but they move fast and I do believe these lines speak to their quality treats!

Very beautiful location with all of the Kilwins staples around the space. It is far more spacious that most of the other spaces but I guess when you ate not positioned directly on the boardwalk or in a shopping mall, it gets way better. There is another confectionary in the area that brings in alot of business with their ostentatious displays and prime location but i assure you, this is where you would rather be. I always have a caramel apple with peanuts from here and of course it was delicious, but the packaging was fancy too! You would expect pretentious employees but they were the nicest people ever. Thanks for being so nice guys!

Honestly, I always had good things to say about kilwins. Today I left extremely disappointed. I took my parents out for ice cream and they both ordered 2 scoops in waffle dishes. I'm upset I didn't notice until after I left but this has to be a joke. I literally paid $16 for what this girl thinks is 2 scoops. Not sure what her name is but she was actually kind of rude and acted like she was annoyed that we were getting ice cream. Not sure if my mom asking to sample a flavor pissed her off for some reason. I mean I get because of COVID, they may have new rules, but I don't understand why that would upset someone. Seriously a joke, my parents are super disappointed. Guess I probably won't be coming back here. It does suck because whenever I have family and friends in the area I always bring them here or I refer people to try some of the great products. Maybe it's time to teach the workers what an actual serving size should look like.

    Delicious icecream wow!!

The Quick: I(ce) Scream for delicious creamy Rich ice cream. Besides the fact that the food was amazing and smells like heaven, the staff was so incredibly nice and helpful letting me try approximately 5000 flavors... There's usually a line but it goes quick. Highly recommend

Super friendly staff which created a great first impression for me! Immediately I was greeted and asked to try some fudge samples, my favorite was probably the salted caramel. Now onto the ice cream, it was phenomenal! My dad got a cone with 2 scoops and it was quite large. They let us try a bunch of flavors before we finally decided on one to purchase. Everything is spotless and incredibly decorated and appealing. The price is quite steep but pretty worth it as a treat occasionally if you ask me.

The owner decorates beautifully and meaningfully for each and every occasion. Whether it's fall, spring, summer, Valentine's Day, Holiday Season, or even once I was there the day of a royal wedding, you can guarantee that every little detail will be attended to. Located in the heart of Port Jefferson, a short walk from the large municipal lot and ferry, this tea shop is where you want to go. They offer full tea service, a royal tea (soup and sparkling cider added), individual ala carte sandwiches, and an array of desserts. I always get the tea service, which comes with a bottomless pot of tea. They have so many teas to choose from, including decaf and herbal versions. During the holidays, they update their tea list to reflect more seasonal teas. Service is always impeccable, the food is always fresh, and there is a consistency to this place that rivals many. I've had tea service at "those" expensive hotels in NYC, and I must say, Secret Garden tops it for me.

Inside is a tea party lover's dream: think florals, fine china and a hat bar for your elegant photos! The staff is super helpful and kind offering suggestions for the mammoth selection of teas they offer. My friend and I ordered an afternoon tea set that came with scones, sandwiches, desserts. And for $54 + sharing fee, it was good! The scones were hot and tender, there was a variety of nibbles my friend and I enjoyed, such as the chicken salad sandwich, the cream puff and a variety of fruit to keep it light. I'll be honest, I feel like there are other tea rooms that offer a greater and larger selection for the same price. So if you're looking around Long Island, there are better options out there. But, if you're locally in the area, I would give them a chance!
