This is a fantastic way to spend a weekend in October. They have just about everything for kids entertainment purposes. You name it, they got it. There are pony rides! Yes, real ponies. There are tractor rides with Elmo. There are giant blown up bouncy castles and structures. They even have a pumpkin patch, bumper cars for kids, and other games. I would definitely recommend! Every Thanksgiving my home is where everyone comes to gather. Both my sons and new daughter in law, my nieces from college, my brother in laws brother are coming to enjoy a delicious holiday meal. I have a yearly ritual, I go to the farm stands and buy locally grown vegetables. But the final step is to turn my home into a warm welcoming space, so I'll buy flowers from Pantaleons Farms. Look for the signs, it's located across from the post office on the main road. Once you arrive, grab a wagon and start exploring. On my front porch I like to have a burst of autumn with red and gold flowers. Pantaleons farms also sells bundles of hay to give that farmhouse look but, I grew up in Brooklyn. My grandparents never did anything like did this and I know they would love the flowers. The hay would confuse them. I can hear my grandfathers voice asking about it and it makes me laugh. Billy, you don't plant, do you make a the bread? Now that the outside porch is ready, it's time to go inside with crafted table centerpieces and other potted flowers that are painted in warm autumn colors. It really gives the house that extra touch for Thanksgiving. Once Thanksgiving is over, I plant the flowers. They sell all sizes of plants and trees, its deceiving but out back has a large farm. Funny story, I wanted to buy some plants for the front of my house, I see these purple sprays that spread in a nice burst of color. I grab a wagon and this young couple buys almost all of the plants?? I grabbed the last four, they weren't my top choice.. Had a little holiday miracle yesterday. I was on my way to Home Depot to pick up a little spruce to decorate my doorstep for the holidays, not knowing where else to go to get what I was looking for. I drove past this farm stand, did a double take, and turned around to pull in. What an adorable little winter wonderland! They had exactly what I was looking for, and I really enjoyed walking the grounds. Was tempted to buy some really beautiful centerpieces. Was then tempted to buy some pies which looked delicious (will have to try their "peachberry" one day). I DID give in to buying a poinsettia because they all looking picture-perfect. All are good in quality. This place is easy to navigate through. Just pick what you want, tell someone -- there's always someone around...and pay. Had 2 plants delivered Friday and they were planted that day. We watered them daily but within 3 days, one was dead and the other lost all of the flowers. We called the farm stand and was told that the owner wasn't in so we waited a day and went to the farm with our receipt. The girl behind the counter called the owner and was told within seconds that there was nothing they could do. Never asked for pictures. Stay away from this farm stand as they do not stand by their plants once they are sold. read more

Pretty big farmstand by the side of the road. Plenty of flowers from their greenhouses. Fruits & veggies are more of the home garden variety, meaning not Whole Foods store shelf beautiful and uniform. The tomatoes for instance are vine ripened, but range from golf balls to Godzilla. A few even looked like an ear that fell off the Elephant Man, but were the size of Mike Tyson's fists. They have a variety of fresh baked fruit pies with your standard apple, cherry, & blueberry, but also some interesting mixes like peachberry, which we sampled. Started to buy my yearly summer annuals for the front and back yard of my house... had a really good selection of flowers and a ton of Korean Boxwoods that I thought would be perfect to fill an empty area where I had no plants at my house. Tons of evergreens to find here especially the green giant arborvitae's. Did notice that they do have a 4% card processing fee which yes; I was not crazy about but understanding as many small businesses that I go to within the Setauket- Port Jefferson area do the very same and apparently some of the nasty people here don't understand what a card processing fee is and why it's so impactful to small businesses! The 4% doesn't even go towards to the business; it goes directly to the card issuer like Visa, Amex, mastercard and etc. Anyways; there was a tall young man who was able to answer some questions for me regarding about perennials that would do good in poor soil. On that note; the prices of their perennials are cheaper than some other nurseries around which is always a plus. Lots of beautiful cherry trees and fruit trees as well that are promising as it gets warmer. Definitely recommending this place to my neighbors, families and friends. I've been going to Pantaleons for years. I always get good advice on what I can plant where. I've also used their landscaping services for several years. They are reliable, thorough and they've done everything we've ever asked (tree and plant plantings, tree trimmings, mulch installations, weekly maintenance, gravel installations, etc.). Their landscaping rates are particularly good. The owner Juan is efficient and very accommodating. He often shows up at the job to make sure the guys are doing the job right and to be sure they have all they need. They seem to have up to date and modern equipment. At the nursery his wife Rosa is super sweet and is always happy to help you. read more

I went there to pick up a Japanese Maple tree. Their select is good and the people were helpful - then I got to the register. I paid for the tree and some potting soil and there was an extra 9.00 on the charge. They charge 4% for using a charge card. No way. What happens if I want a spruce for 800.00? I have to pay an extra 32.00 because I want to pay with my debit or credit card? I got my refund and went somewhere else. I know I only go there once or twice a year but this 4% has made this establishment much less attractive. read more

Pretty good nursery on 25A in East Setauket has a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. All the plants looked quite healthy. Wound up buying bleeding hearts and rhododendrons for my yard and it was pretty pricy. They also serve pies and I couldn't resist the banana cream pie at $16 which was pretty good. Staff was ok as well, nobody really around to help you. It's a pretty good nursery to come, a tad pricy but I been to worse. read more

Not helpful at all. Very, very bad attitudes. I was so disappointed. I tried going there at least 4 or 5 times now, because everyone has bad days, but every time I go, the young men, who take care of the farm are EXTREMELY rude and nasty any time you have a question about their products. read more

How about be attentive when customers come in instead of being on ur phone with your coworkers. A simple Goodmorning/ welcome or anything not staring at your phone with ur coworker/friend. And when I do ask for help or what's in stock don't look annoyed and be grateful you have a job. I know it's a slow day prob for you guys but respect the customers that do come in. Pies are good but the customer service leaves something to be desired. I called two days before Christmas Eve and was told to reserve a pie if I wanted to have it guaranteed for the holiday. I took my chances and sure enough when I went the next day all they had was apple. I reserved two pies that day for Christmas Eve. I was scheduled to pick up around 11 or 12 but I was told I only needed to give a time to make sure it was ready. I arrived at 12:15. The girl behind the counter had trouble finding my order and came up with one pie. She got on the phone and I heard her say that my pie had been given to someone else. When she got off the phone she said the pie wasn't ready yet. I told her I heard her conversation and they had given the pie to someone else. She said yes, we got busy. I could pick up the new pie in 2 hours. I said I expected a price break when I returned as this was very inconvenient and it was very poor customer service to give a reserved pie away the day of Christmas Eve. I went elsewhere and called to tell them not to hold the pie for me but that I wanted to speak to a manager. The woman from earlier picked up and told me the manager was in the back. I asked for her to get him but I was told he was too busy and that she had spoken to gkmI could come back for the pie but would not be given a price break.
