We had breakfast here for the first time today. This is such a great spot! Food did not disappoint. Coffee did not disappoint. Staff did not disappoint! I arrived at 11am , they were slightly busy but nothing too overwhelming, my server didn't make it to my table until maybe 15 mins after I had already been sitting and waiting . My server walked up and asked me if I was ready to order , luckily I had already searched Yelp for the menu since one wasn't provided to me . She apologized for the delay, and Which I understood and made no fuss about . I requested To have several items in my meal made well , after receiving my meal almost 45 mins later , nothing was made as requested. I ordered a coffee that I never received. The food is decent , but still nothing that you can't do at home . What I did find astonishing, is the coffee mugs named after the regular customers, that speaks community to me and that's amazing . Went for the first time today. Because of the great reviews but unfortunately that was not our case. Service was okay, but the food really lacked flavor. It took over 30 minutes to get our meals. I ordered the blueberry pancakes -- they were completely bland, and even the syrup tasted off and was served cold. My mom had the migas plate, which also had no flavor, and the tortillas were soggy. A good old fashioned cafe. Breakfast: lots of coffee, juices, sodas. Hash browns (very good), your egg just how you ordered it, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast. I always order the traditional eggs, etc. then have to add a "stack" because I love the texture--and I love syrup. Oh, and then the biscuits and gravy. I know there are orders with beef, say, and my husband likes those. There are newspapers left and passed around. Just a basic nice place like when my family traveled. The food came really fast and I tried the hash browns first, I thought they were good. The burger is a fried egg burger with ham and bacon. I thought it was really creative and I enjoyed it. Bacon almost too over done for my taste, but if crispy is yo thang, then it will be just fine. The grits and pancakes were good. The place itself has a mom n pop kind of feel to it which is good. The dining area has carpet and, I can't quite gell with that because carpet can look pretty dingy and old after a while as this was the case in my opinion. One star removed due to uncomfortable booth seating, caused me to sink too low to reach the table, cold butter to spread on excellent Parkerhouse rolls, and chicken and dressing w/gravy could have been warmer however very very good.
