    The menu has nice selection

The restaurant was very clean and wonderful service. We were assisted as soon as we entered. The food was delicious and it came out fast. We were very impressed. Yes I would recommend this place. We will be back!

This is a great, family friendly restaurant! All their choices are great. I drool all the way there and am never disappointed! Their pancake are hand made, not out of a box! Their burritos and tacos are handmade. Everything is fresh. All families are welcome here!

Truckers diner vibe for sure !! Small place with a lot of personality!! I arrived at 11am , they were slightly busy but nothing too overwhelming, my server didn't make it to my table until maybe 15 mins after I had already been sitting and waiting . My server walked up and asked me if I was ready to order , luckily I had already searched Yelp for the menu since one wasn't provided to me . She apologized for the delay, and Which I understood and made no fuss about . I requested To have several items in my meal made well , after receiving my meal almost 45 mins later , nothing was made as requested. I ordered a coffee that I never received. The food is decent , but still nothing that you can't do at home . What I did find astonishing, is the coffee mugs named after the regular customers, that speaks community to me and that's amazing . I also had to request Togo silverware, because my fork still had food stuck on it from whomever used it before me.

Wow, this is a great alternative to other breakfast choices in the area. When there is a long wait at I-Hop or Denny's come to Kim & Jenny's, you will have no regrets. There was no wait we were able to seat ourselves and service was fast and with a smile. I would recommend them for the entire family! Breakfast all day as well as lunch specials. This is an awesome place with the ambiance of a small town cafe.

The restaurant was nice and cozy. Retro diner vibes for sure. AJ was a great server. The food is typical diner style nothing fancy here.

Unfortunately, my experience did not quite match the hype. I ordered the fried catfish fillet with collard greens, and while the meal was decent enough to eat, it was nothing particularly memorable. The catfish was cooked through, but it lacked the seasoning and crispy texture I usually expect from good southern-style fried fish. It tasted fairly plain and could have benefited from more flavor overall. The collard greens were also disappointing, as they seemed underseasoned and did not have the rich homemade taste that many people rave about in similar restaurants. The staff was courteous and the restaurant itself appeared clean and organized, so I can appreciate the effort in customer service. However, based on the food quality alone, I was left feeling underwhelmed considering the strong reviews and recommendations I had seen beforehand. It was not a terrible experience, but it also was not impressive enough to make me eager to return.

Last week, I saw that they were having their grand opening today so I was excited to come out and give them a try. There was about a dozen or so people in line prior to their opening. When I walked inside the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the Blues music in the background. The guy in front of me gave us all a free concert because he knew every song. LOL They have a walk up counter for online orders or you can go to your right for take out. They are not open for dine in yet so please keep that in mind. Also, masks have to be worn by customers so don't forget yours at home or the car. Now onto the food, I ordered a fried pork chop dinner which comes with two pork chops, mac and cheese, green beans and cornbread. For anyone that does not like cornbread, you also have the choice of a dinner roll. All dinners come with your choice of two sides. I thought that was it for me until I saw the pound cake so you know I had to grab a slice. I paid for my food and then left. I love that they cook their green beans with small chunks of potatoes and pieces of bacon. The mac and cheese looks nothing like the picture advertised. It's not baked mac and cheese at all. Maybe they are trying to save on the cost but when I think of macaroni and cheese, I think of real shredded cheese baked over cheesy macaroni. The cornbread is ok but smaller than your average cornbread muffin. Now onto the cake. Oh my goodness. This is the best slice of pound cake that I have had in Dallas. The cake is very moist and delicious. I have tried plenty of pound cakes and most places are dry with no flavor. I believe they are going to have different menu items everyday. They have just about every type of meat you can think of, Fried Catfish, Pork Steak with gravy, Pork Ribs, Fried Pork Chops, Spaghetti. UPDATE- I ate half of my pork chop and the rest of my meal. The next day, I was going to eat the rest of my pork chops but visually I didn't want it. I tossed the rest in the trash. I don't know if it's the quality of meat that they used but I seen black spots throughout the meat. I didn't really pay attention to how much my meal cost but when I checked my receipt, I paid $14.00 for my meal and $4.00 for the cake. This is very expensive for the portions they offer but I tried to overlook it since this is their grand opening. There are other soulfood restaurants in the area that offer huge portions for 2-3 days and everything is made from scratch. Hopefully, they will take this into consideration and make changes to their pricing and make all items from scratch. FYI- Check before you come if you are looking for a specific menu item. I will probably come back if I am in the area and have a taste for a slice of pound cake but I will pass on the food. They are about a 45 minute trip. Customer service is excellent.
