We had breakfast here for the first time today. This is such a great spot! Food did not disappoint. Coffee did not disappoint. Staff did not disappoint! Went for the first time today. Because of the great reviews but unfortunately that was not our case. Service was okay, but the food really lacked flavor. It took over 30 minutes to get our meals. I ordered the blueberry pancakes -- they were completely bland, and even the syrup tasted off and was served cold. My mom had the migas plate, which also had no flavor, and the tortillas were soggy. A good old fashioned cafe. Breakfast: lots of coffee, juices, sodas. Hash browns (very good), your egg just how you ordered it, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast. I always order the traditional eggs, etc. then have to add a "stack" because I love the texture--and I love syrup. Oh, and then the biscuits and gravy. I know there are orders with beef, say, and my husband likes those. There are newspapers left and passed around. Just a basic nice place like when my family traveled. The service was decent and the atmosphere I can't comment on because this was UberEats order as I learn the area. Tried this place for the first time over the weekend, and it was a pretty decent meal. You can get your typical standard breakfast which is what I tried. Bacon almost too over done for my taste, but if crispy is yo thang, then it will be just fine. The grits and pancakes were good. The place itself has a mom n pop kind of feel to it which is good. The dining area has carpet and, I can't quite gell with that because carpet can look pretty dingy and old after a while as this was the case in my opinion. One star removed due to uncomfortable booth seating, caused me to sink too low to reach the table, cold butter to spread on excellent Parkerhouse rolls, and chicken and dressing w/gravy could have been warmer however very very good.
