The person that took my order had problems comprehending she first told me that my order will be $21.09 when I picked up my order I was charged $25.30. She said that it was due to taxes which was incorrect. Also, I had two orders and one of the orders she said came with fries then she called my number and asked if we wanted fries and I said yes because it comes with fries when I got there, she charge an extra $3.89 for the fries then she charged extra for to make the fries have Cajun flavor which I was not told the food was good but they do not know how to calculate what your amount for your order is and they don't tell you everything upfront like what's going to be extra. If you like crawfish this may be the place for you. You place your order at the counter either to go or to eat in and I had them to go. They informed me that it would be 20 to 30 min since they are cooked to order. My order came out nice and hot and the 12 min drive to the hotel and check in did not affect them at all. The owner asked me "what are you trying to order" he said they were closing early and there was no way he could do it. It cost $26 for one crab/shrimp "special" that I split with my mom. It really wasn't enough food for two people. It consisted of one snow crab cluster, 8 shrimp, 3 small new potatoes and a half-cob of corn. They charged $l.49 for lemon pepper (!!) and drinks were $3 each. There is no preparation involved, just boiling in a bag with no seasoning. They charge $40/pound for a la carte boiled snow crab, which I think is excessive. I checked at my local grocery store and it's $14.99/lb. That's quite a markup. Too pricey for me! read more

I got the snow crab steamed with butter as so did my uncle. It was not good at all. The photos on Yelp prompted me to visit this restaurant. It's located on a shopping center off Wheatland and Cedar Ridge. It's nestled in the back on the Cedar Ridge side. There is a large sign that says Rocking Crab. The restaurant is small. Does not accommodate large parties. The menu is displayed over the counter. You place your order and pay. They bring the food out to you. If you order a soda you serve yourself. Tables are lined with butcher paper. Towel holders are situated at the end of the table. We ordered 1/2 lbs crab, 1/2 lbs shrimp with potatoes and corn in garlic butter. Food was brought out in a plastic bag and we were given 1 bib, 2 pair of scissors and a pair of gloves. I've never been given scissors so I didn't know how to apply the scissor technique. So I used my hands. It was messy. I wore the bib and was thankful because I got squirted all over with shrimp juice. I don't normally eat at this type of restaurant but the Yelp pics looked good, this place is close to the house and it's something new to try. I enjoyed my food. The service was ok. So the food comes out in plastic bag that is placed in a wooden bowl, think of the old fashioned salad bowls. I should clarify, the seasoned food like crab legs, shrimp etc. comes out out this way. My husband hand the catfish And fries basket and he enjoyed it. I had the shrimp and grab legs, with little new potatoes and small ears of corn. I really enjoyed mine. As for the hubby, he said it was average, but he's not one to use any kind of sauce etc. I will definitely go back.
