From the moment I called, the experience was incredible. Their receptionist/assistant was compassionate, listened to my concerns, and offered me the choice of an appointment for the next day or bringing her in immediately for their emergency services. Once I arrived, I met Dr. Jasan Ghuman, who was both compassionate and attentive. We discussed the various possibilities for why my cat was in this condition, and I later met Dr. Gia Kingston, who was equally caring and empathetic. They thoroughly assessed the situation and clearly advised me of my options. I have been a pet owner for many years and have seen numerous veterinarians, but I have never experienced such focused attention, genuine concern, and sincere compassion until now. As new patients, they got us in immediately, took excellent care of my cat, and were also incredibly supportive of my emotional state during such a stressful time. Having lived in North Lake Tahoe for 31 years, I have experienced many services in this area, but I have truly never encountered such a high level of customer service and genuine compassion as I did with this team. Dr. Ghuman and Dr. Kingston are both exceptionally skilled, highly professional, and truly dedicated practitioners who lead with their hearts. I have 100% faith in them and their entire team. I never thought I would switch practices, but I can proudly say that Agate Bay Animal Hospital is now my permanent veterinarian. This was truly the best experience I have ever had with a vet

Seeing Dr. Fisher is not my regular vet, I believe she went beyond the routine and definitely cared about the best treatment for my dog. If I lived closer to her practice, I would definitely use her as my preferred vet. I wish her and her staff all the best and thank them for being so compassionate.

I live in Washoe and my dog was poisoned. I called Animal poison control and got instructions,…read morewhich included going to a vet for bloodwork Wed: Day one Went to Washoe Valley Vet. They had an emergency. I gave them the case number from Animal Poison Control and the direct # to call. They said they would call and get back to me. They didn't. Obviously didn't seem a priority that my dog was poisoned. Thur: Day two I called again. They had another emergency. Plus they had too many 'squeeze ins' to see my dog, I had to wait at least a week to get seen. Apparently a poisoned dog doesn't qualify for a 'squeeze in'. I asked the woman what Animal Poison control recommended. She said, "I was on hold too long and had to hang up" So, as a test, I called Animal Poison Control myself immediately after hanging up with her. I waited on hold for 6 minutes. Obviously a poisoned dog doesn't warrant waiting on hold for 6 minutes. The person from Animal Poison Control said (and I'm quoting verbatim here), "Go somewhere else, immediately". So I did. Obviously never going back. I moved to Washoe about a year ago and they treated a cut on my dog adequately. That was my only other experience with them.
