I don't believe in posting a bad review on small businesses, but this one is worthy of it and others need to be aware of where their hard earned money is investing into. Do NOT come here. The owner Tim is greedy and dishonest. A nice guy, but establishing a loyal customer is not his priority as a business owner, unfortunately. I finally found the exact 18K white gold ring that I have been in search of for years to replace the one I have loss. This ring was very special to me because my mom gifted to me 20 yrs ago. My first stop into Phuoc Loc Tho was Tim's shop (it sits in the back of the mall as you enter and it is on the right side). When I saw the ring, I was so thrilled and excited about finally coming across the exact same piece to replace. So thrilled that I made an impulse purchase and failed to verify the price of the gold before I bought it. After I have left his shop, I was still questioning if the price seemed quite high for an 18K gold jewelry. So I then verified the price of the gold and realized that he had charged me for the price of a 24K gold vs what he should have quoted me for the price of the 18K gold on the 18K gold ring. In essence, he has profited at least $100 from me that day!! His greediness and dishonesty aiming for a quick sales is far more important than establishing a loyal customer. I do NOT recommend coming here. read more

We busted down my boyfriend's jade Buddha piece, and my boyfriend also got me another gold chain. For our anniversary, my boyfriend was trying to buy me these Chanel earrings I liked through the stores in California and Hawaii, but they told him they only had it available in Europe. Instead of giving up, my boyfriend went straight to his jeweler, Dustin, and asked for a replica. The earring set turned out so perfect. Instead of using the metals Chanel does, Dustin used real gold. I fell in love with the set, wore it the same day out, and kept showing everyone haha. Buyers beware had a bad experience with this jewelry store this past weekend. Walked in the store with my wife looking for a jade bangle. Chose a bangle and was told by Timothy dinh that all the bangles were untreated, natural from Burma "A grade quality" along with his mom and family flocking to us by his side trying to persuade us to buy, also speaking of integrity. That they sell nothing but the best quality. Send the money over via zelle and then they put on the receipt B grade "treated" also no certificate. While at home did some common test to check the authenticity of the jade and to our conclusion it was B jade "treated". We did get lucky to get a full cash refund the next day (although the receipt says ALL SALES FINAL) and when we asked do you have any A grade jade available in store: his mom admitted to us that they carry nothing but "B grade" after returning are money. It is the principle that counts, and him and his family do not hold integrity and are full of liars just to make a quick sell and cheat people. They should be ashamed of themselves; first impressions are your last. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone and you wouldn't catch me again setting foot in their again.. This business is pittyful.. P.S. the greed for money and misleading quick sales is not the way a business should be conducted.. but taking care of your customers like family so they stay loyal and returning means much more... read more

So word spread to the Bay about his work! He did my mothers Buddha Jade Piece. Wrapped it in 18k Gold. Also VS2 diamonds that wrapped the border. With a custom lucky coin design with my personal initials. This piece was supper sentimental to me and he made this piece a million times better! However, I was fortunate to be helped by the owner; an extremely knowledgeable and kind woman (I believe her name was Melissa). After sifting through what felt like hundreds of rings, we both decided that a custom ring was the only way to go (I wanted a 3 stone setting with a halo and micro-pave). It is better to trust a review of a true customer and not a relative of the owner that owns this jewelry, considering that the person only wrote 5 reviews and have no photos. Of course they only have good things to say, which is incorrect. My reviews are as 100% accurate and there are no reasons to make up any situations. This store is located in Phuoc Loc Tho. There are actually multiple of them on the first floor. It is kind of confusing why they need multiple of the same store clumped up into one small mall. There were two older women there that runs the store. One of them wore glasses and she was not the nicest or she does not know what the meaning of customer service is. And I will tell you why. . . My mom took me here to buy a set of bangles, they come in a set of 7 and they are gold. After browsing, I settled on the set. A big part of buying jewelry in thes types of places is that as a customer, you should be able to bargain if the price is right of what you are asking for. I will not state the amount that I purchase the set of bangles for, but the ladies won't go any lower even though they know that it is overpriced. These are difficult to put on because it is supposed to fit your wrist perfectly and that once put on, you should not them out. After purchasing, I struggle to put them on, as a client I expected them to help me, and the nicer lady helped me because it hurts so bad and I needed lotion, I can't put them on myself. The other lady with the glasses said "she can do it herself, you don't need to help her." I was just like WOW! unbelievable! How can she be sooo straigtforward! My mom also bought a diamond necklace at this location, but in all honesty, they do not deserve our business. After this location, we walked to another Ngoc Quang Jewelers across from the center staged. I said I wanted to look at the gold bangles and the lady responded, "You already have a set, why do you need another set?" mmmm because it is none of your business how I want to spend my money. Never again, so rude and undeserving of customers. They lack respect, and customer service, bad attitude and thinks that people need them instead of them needing the customers. I was reluctant on coming to Asian Garden Mall in general because of it's reputation--BUT after visiting many other stores at different malls and even searching around online I gave in. My experience here was the complete opposite of what I originally expected. The ladies who helped me at Ngoc Quang were very friendly and caring to my needs/wants. I've been wanting an upgrade from my old gold chain for a while and this location had what I wanted and even more. The sweet women who helped me were very patient with me while I was talking to them and looking at their inventory. We even had a great conversation! They are not professional. We bought our wedding rings here but super unhappy with it. We looked for something decent and willing to pay a higher price for it as those are treasures to us. I wanted to go to other places but my mother-in-law wanted to take us here. The saleslady we talked to didn't get enough training/knowledge to be a jewelry salesperson. My husband chose a 18k white gold ring. She said the item would be priced base on its weight. We needed to resize the ring to make it smaller so it's obvious that it would weighted less than when we saw it. The sales lady said it would weighted SAME. I was skeptical but my mother-in-law was a regular customer (not anymore after this) so I trusted them we paid based on weight - as the saleslady said, so I wanted to check its weight when I received the rings. It lost 0.9GR (more than 10 percent). I felt so disappointed and they gave us back $30 (?????). I talked to the manager over the phone and he explained to me that it's obvious that the ring will not weight the same after resizing (which was what I thought and asked the saleslady). I do appreciate his efforts but there are other jewelers out there, so I would not come back. They also refused to accept return. They've got good techs but the saleslady was not professional/knowledgable enough to sell wedding/engagement rings. I have referred many of my friends to this store and they've thanked me over and over again for this new change and improvement in their lives.  I recently just had an order done for my girlfriend of a name plate in rose gold, and the manager ((Hang)) communicated with me constantly and listened to my specific needs (as usual) to make sure I had a good experience, and on top of that they gave me a good price too (as usual too). This store is family run in Garden Asian Mall! There are four locations in this mall but the store that always keeps me coming back is the one closest to the main entrance across from Lee's. Melissa is the owner and she's extremely beautiful, knowledgeable, and helpful! My mom has been going to this store for years and has bought me and herself countless pieces that are high quality and I have not had a problem with at all. The pricing is always fair and the customer service is always exceptional. I will keep coming here for as long as they are open. If any of the jewelry stores in Phoc Loc Tho deserve your business, it's this one! I always bought diamond from SJ area since I lived in the bay area. Last weekend I came down to LA. I stopped by Ngoc Quang Jewelry store in the Mall. I found the ring that I really like. It is a big band with three row of diamonds, 8 diamonds (.31carat) on both outter rows, and 9 diamond in the middle row (.30 carat) indicating by the tag on the ring. I spoke to the sale lady who told me the price is $5400. I was able to bargain the price down $4800. Then the owner name Hang who is a beautiful lady and sweet talk, told me that they only accepted cash. I went to the bank to get cash and came back to the store. When I was about to pay, the owner (Hang) told me. The tag had missed typo. It should be 9 diamond of .34 not .30 carat (how come misses typo from 0 to 4). The price will be from $4800 now it became $6000. I felt kind of fishy of her explanation. I decided not to buy it. When I went back to my hotel, I tried to figure out the measurement of the ring. Since it has three rows of the diamonds. both end of the rows had to be even. It made more sense if 8 diamonds with .31 carat on each out side rows, and 9 smaller diamond .30 carat which it said on the tag. It is no way to fit on the middle row for 9 diamond .34 carat. To make three row equal length. It should be 8 of .31, 9 of .30 & 8 of.31. I can tell she is lying. The big store as Ngoc Quang try to cheat customer for $1000 more. It is very shame. How can you trust them to buy a big diamond. She looks so beautiful and sweet talk to a customer but telling lie. Next time she needs to use her brain before try to lie. Even the tag had a missed typo. She should have sold the ring with an agreement price. It was a waste of my time to go get cash from the bank. I am not happy with the service and I would not trust the them. read more

If I could give this place a -1 star, I would. This place is just awful. At first, I was ecstatic to get what I thought was a "good deal" on my wedding band. The pricing here is a lot cheaper than other high end american jewelers but I thought, "What a good way to support my fellow Vietnamese people's businesses." Now I know the meaning of "you get what you pay for." My wedding band was initially passed down from my 94 year old grandmother who I loved dearly and is no longer alive so the stones have significant sentimental value to me. I wanted to get a new setting and for my wedding band but wanted my grandmother's diamonds on it. I bought the setting for the band at this horrific place. I was greeted with a very beautiful Vietnamese girl, she was very sweet and said all the right things to butter me up. The finished ring was beautiful aestetically to the naked eye but they did such a shotty job setting the stones that after just 2 weeks of wearing it after my wedding (1 month from when I went this store), one of the stones fell off. I came back to the store without the receipt and wanted the stone replaced. The supposedly "sweet" girl pretended she didn't recognize me when she had a 1 hr long conversation with me 1 month ago. I was pissed but whatever, I was willing to give this another shot and let them fix the ring and charge me for it. I specifically said I do not want this to happen again and will pay extra if they just made sure all the other stones were securely set. They promised me it shouldn't happen again.............LIES~~!! 6 months later, another diamond fell off and i've just had it. This time i'm taking my ring to South Coast Jewelers and will probably pay a lot more $$ but at least i'll have peace of mind knowing that my grandmother's diamonds are securely placed on my ring. I should have read the yelp reviews first before buying anything from this stupid store. read more

I really wished I would of read these yelp reviews prior to pulling the trigger on my diamond ring. Yelp is right ppl, this family run business that owns 4 shops in the Asian mall alone is shady. I was told of buy back or trade in is 10% loss of my end. It was also confirmed with another guy prior to continuing. We proceeded with the setting of the ring which took an hour, they did a nice job but it's pretty standard everywhere if you are in the business. An hour later, when they sent me back to the shop to take a pic of the stone and make a receipt. This man who is the family made me initial a receipt with the cross out of the buy back from 10% to 20%. I thought you told me 10%? He said because this ring was flawless, buying it back will most likely be a vvs meaning scratched. I've already spent an hour and the ring in already set. Could he not have told me prior??
