I had a very disappointing experience with Kimberly. I set up a trial to have my makeup done and ending up paying in advance for the day of for my wedding. I felt pressured to book the date and after getting home I realized I didn't like my makeup. When I asked to schedule another trial I was told there would be a cost, which I didn't understand because I'd already paid for my first trial and services on the day of. I had to push for a trial too - it was recommended to me to wait until the day of. As a bride, you want to know exactly how you're going to look in advance of your wedding day - at least I do. After lots of back and forth I didn't feel as though my feedback was being heard so I decided to go elsewhere. When I asked for my money back (a significant amount that was for my makeup on the day of) I was told no and that this was a deposit I wouldn't get back. I felt taken advantage of and unheard. I never received a contract, which I should have asked for. Unfortunately this situation was not pleasant and if you consider working with Kim I would urge you to get a contract into place immediately before paying for any services. read more

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Kim and Erin McTygue (hair)... and they truly made an already special day that much better. It was such a joy to have Kim Richards be part of my wedding day. She came to my house to do the makeup for myself, my six bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law. It was a big task - she was there from 8am until 2pm - but she was so enthusiastic, efficient, kind, and professional from the moment she walked in the door. Why shuffle back and forth to a salon on your wedding day when you can have Kim come to your house or venue? It was so relaxing and every single woman looked STUNNING when she through. I am very weary of having my makeup done, particularly since I don't wear very much (in fact, none of the girls in my bridal party do). Kimberly Richard did my hair and makeup for a family photo shoot and did an AMAZING job. For my hair I opted to use clip in extensions and, thanks to Kimberly, they looked so natural and turned my short hair into long, curled, locks! I was so happy with the way it turned out and to learn I can re-use the extensions several times ! Makeup was sooooo good. I felt like a model and it definitely made a huge difference in the way the pictures came out to have my makeup professionally done. I've gotten my makeup done a bunch of times before and Kimberly was the best by far. I wanted a bronzey look and she did just that AND gave me an entire lipstick to take with me for touch ups (in the past from other MUA I either have not gotten this or just given a little sample). Her contouring , foundation , eyebrows , etc was all on point. If I could give her more stars I would. She has a full spa so I can't wait to go back and get eyelash extensions! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been booked with Kimberly for my January 10th 2016 wedding since March of this year. I have confirmed with her multiple times that she will be the one doing my makeup on the day of (which is very difficult to do, since she never answers emails and I have to send her multiples to get a response). Today, one week and one month to my wedding, she told me she will be in Costa Rica for the month of January. Completely unbelievable. I have asked for my deposit back and now will scramble to find someone else that is more professional. BRIDES BEWARE: stay far away from Kimberly Richard. read more

Kimberly was a pleasure to work with! From trial to the wedding day, she was very relaxed, engaging and attentive. Some of my bridesmaids do not wear make-up on a regular basis and so Kimberly was the perfect make-up artist for them, as well as my more seasoned make-up wearers. She provides a stunning, natural look that you can feel comfortable in. I never felt once that I was caked in foundation, heavy eyeliner or blush. I looked like me, just a little better! Inconsiderate and unprofessional. I had a gift certificate for a facial with Kimberly Richard and never got to have it... I took the afternoon off from work and was all excited, but the first frustration came when I didn't know where to go. I remembered she said she would send me directions and that the location may be different from the reservation. She never sent me the directions so I tried calling two hours before the appointment. I found another address for her online so I went there first. No luck so then drove 20 minutes to the spa location. I called her two more times. I drove back to the first place, no sign on the house so I wasn't even sure if it was right. Knocked on the door and Kimberly greeted me... "Oh I didn't realize we had an appointment". I showed her my confirmation emails and she admitted she just made a mistake. Then she offered to rebook. She didn't offer to do a quick facial right then or didn't offer any additional services to make up for it. I can't rebook because I don't live near her. Really disappointed with how she handled her "mistake". It really hurt that I wasted all that time. read more

I am so happy I was able to book Kimberly Richard and her team, and I absolutely recommend their services! Kimberly, Carrie, and Andrea provided make-up and hair services for my wedding in June and I can't say enough about their dedication, hard work, and talent! I am so grateful for their attentiveness and professionalism leading up to the wedding day. Even though they are extremely popular and do a lot of weddings on the Cape and beyond, I never once felt like I didn't have their full attention. I was confident in the quality and reliability of their services, and they certainly did not let me down on the big day! The morning of the wedding they were timely and kept the day running on schedule, even though I had added services last minute and shortened the time frame they had to work with.
