They didn't show up half of the time. Sometimes I'd get a message saying that they would show up the following day but usually wouldn't. They charged me for $78 for my March bill and never showed up once. The woman on the phone said he said he was within 30 feet of my residence at many different times of the day and said that I have to call every time that they don't show up. Hey Kimble Companies my service was YESTERDAY. Today I've picked up not just my own recycle can 5 times today due to the high winds we are experiencing, but 2 of my neighbors whose cans have been knocked down as well. While you can't control the weather and wind, but I received a call yesterday (and last week as well) letting me know my service would be delayed by a day, long after I rolled my cans down. I've also sat on hold 3x today trying to get in touch with someone. I just talked to a rep who told me "the driver picked it up 30 min ago" I just pulled in my driveway, and my recycle can is on the ground, and my recycle is EVERYWHERE. Again. The response I received "the driver isn't responsible" BUT-the driver IS responsible for getting her on my SCHEDULED date-and he wasn't. This is a FAIL on your company's part-not mine. read more

After 20 years as a customer, and silently suffering through increasing delays and irregular pickup times, Kimble's driver simply skipped our house entirely as the only one on the block, twice in 2 months. I put the neighbor's cans out at the same time as mine, and hers was picked up. When I called to request a pickup or credit, I was told the driver falsely claimed I never put it out. I was assured of a callback and a second pickup, neither of which materialized. Called back to request a credit for the missed week, and this time the story is our house is marked wrong on the map. When I asked why their driver lacked the initiative to pick up a Kimble tote feet from a designated location, I was told that he was "new and just following rules". (So apparently, the rules say when in doubt, never pick up a Kimble can.) The representative was irritable and dismissive, talking over me and when I objected, she hung up. I requested a callback from a manager, which also never materialized. And what's being missed in all this is that I have paid them for service, and was forced to take time from work to manage their failures, and take their abuse. Corporations--- even small ones--- do not deserve the fruit and rewards which result from our human connections, and yet someone at Kimble Companies hired Sierra so the company wins by default. Sierra is fluent in 'old man' speak, able to navigate the confounding and find the clearing even when the path is not exactly clear. She was able to help with my multi-faceted situation and got my accounts aligned how I wanted them done, regardless of the steps required. It is tempting to say she goes above and beyond, but it is clear that her service is actually her routine: how Sierra treats one is how she treats all... and it is nothing short of outstanding. I would give a zero if I could. The team repeatedly refused to get our trash due to "inclimate weather". Meaning if it snowed 1/10 of an inch they had an out. My wife and I complained multiple times as public health concerns came up in my neighborhood. They left our trash for 18 days, 11 days, and 10 days within a 60 day span. Most recently, the trash collector only took half of our trash, all of which fit in one bin, and left the rest. That was the final straw because we need our trash to get picked up regularly and consistently. When I was reasonable and just asked for a pro-rated amount of our payment (service dates that we canceled and they knew they didn't need to come) they used their Silly contract language. Cannot root for a company to fail any more. They breached their contract by not providing the service they agreed to, contemplating legal action. read more

For 3 years we've had bad service. Having to call to get our trash picked up just about every week since they forget to. Excuses and apologies but it continues. Finally we decided to drop them and go to Waste Management. We had to flush 3 months of payment to them down the drain..no refund on our quarterly payment. And we're told we have to leave their bin at the curb for them to pick up for as long as 6 weeks until they can "get around to it." Awful customer service. They routinely leave things that they are supposed to take, like bags of lawn clippings and sticks in bags on my lawn for weeks at a time, and then if you contact customer service they pretty much just shrug their shoulders, say they will email the driver and hope you forget about it. Clippings left in paper bags that sit out over multiple days in the rain collapse and all the work going back on the curb. If it wasn't a city contract I would switch to someone else in a heartbeat. We scheduled my bulk pickup and she was very informative on what we needed to do with our fridge before pickup. They do a good job and are part of our service in Coshocton. Like all of the other reviews the Kimble Companies has the worst track record on reliability, timeliness, and customer service. Zero stars is what is needed! We went three months in a row and the trash was never picked up on our scheduled pick up day. During that three month time period we were skipped twice for an entire week & trying to get an adjustment on the bill was next to impossible! When we I finally had enough and canceled the service or lack there of It was like fighting with the IRS to terminate the service in the middle of a quarter and getting a refund! The worst part about it is Kimble trucks go up and down the street every day and it just seems like chaos, no one in logistics has a clue as to what they're doing. This company doesn't deserve a review. The worst company and will rip you off. We recently moved and was supposed to have our trash can delivered before we moved in. Never received the trash can. So they sent us $81 bill for trash they didn't pick up and trash can we never received. We still don't have a trash can. When my husband called to ask why he was being charged for services we haven't received the customer service agent rudely told my husband that he had to pay the be or suffer a late fee charge or they will closed our account with them. Customer for years....changed my pick up day and basically has been chaos since. Speak with their service reps ie; Kayla, Michelle Leanne....make commitments for next day... don't show up or call. Garbage sits in driveway; critters get in it...no where to put it....their promises are to have other drivers pick us up at the end of their routes.They know those chances are slim if you leave it to drivers to decide. After reading other reviews, this is the norm....we have no choice for carriers in my area. I'm calling on Keith Kimble (CEO) to fix this business or sell it. My trash, recycling and yard waste gets picked up every friday morning - usually around 7-730am - TOO EARLY if I miss putting it out the night before. This has happened before and I called Kimble and they came and picked up my trash saving me - but now... nobody at Kimble cares or knows what is going on and how to fix it and it is not up to me to fix their service issues. Last week I got 3 phone calls from Kimble's automated system - stating that my trash, recycling and yard waste would be delayed 1-DAY... OK, so I did NOT put my stuff out. Friday morning comes and there is the Kimble truck as I am leaving for work... so I called Kimble while on my drive in to work to speak to a customer service person who completely blamed me, said they could not come back and I would need to wait another week for pickup. So I called again and got a different person who was a bit more understanding, she said she would have someone from operations call me back because they could NOT transfer a call IN to the operations department. No callback. Saturday - no pickup. Sunday - no pickup. Kimble's offices are closed on the weekends - so you cannot call in over the weekends. Monday morning and I can see the trash on nearby streets is setup and going to be picked up - so I called again and told them that Kimble trucks would be out literally around the corner from my house. I called later in the day and was told they would try to pickup. NOPE. Tuesday - see the first picture without snow - I called again and spoke to 2 different customer service people who both said I should just wait for friday - I told them NO WAY - I PAY FOR THIS SERVICE and I want satisfaction. I also called the Mayor's office and spoke to the service department and asked them to call Kimble. The mayor's person in service called me back to say that Kimble would pickup TODAY - Tuesday. WEDNESDAY - see the second picture with snow covering - can you guess what happened? They lied to the mayor's office, lied to me and left my trash on my curb again. So I called their customer service people - talked to 2 different people who have no idea what's going on and they completely pushed this off onto me - no understanding, no help. I got a special number from the mayor's office to call and talked to a Operations Supervisor who finally said he would have someone come and pickup my trash today. Shame on Kimble - I've had their service for a few years now and they have fallen far short - their "Customer Service" people do not know what is going on, they do not know what they can do, they cannot do anything to help anyone. You need to talk to a supervisor in operations to get someone who knows what's going on and what they can realistically do. If you hear that your city is considering Kimble, please attend city council meetings - call your mayor and let them know Kimble does not care, they do not help, they absolutely DO NOT CARE about your city - I have seen their trucks litter the streets with trash from their pickup operations and they do not stop to pickup anything that falls out of their trucks. I will be asking the city to replace Kimble with another service or drastically reducing our fees... it's the least we can demand to have to deal with bad service and lies. There has to be better trash and recycling services out there, don't let Kimble in and if you have them, hold them to a high standard and make sure your mayor's office knows when they let you down. OMG! The absolute WORST refuse collection EVER! And it is continuous! This past week, put out trash and yard waste-- ONLY trash was picked up . Normal day of pick up is Wednesday. On Thursday, yard waste was still full, I called, the rep assured me, after talking with dispatch, someone would be out later that day. Didn't happen. So, on Friday, called again- same assurance- someone would be out to pick it up. Nope- again. Saturday, I called again, same assurance. Well, driver did come out- overshot the treelawn, so he had to get out of truck to get can, get back in truck to pick up can. Fine. He stepped OVER a tree branch 4' long, 3" wide to do this- left the branch-and the can in the street by the driveway apron! We have been Kimble customers for many years, residential and commercial. Being a business owner, I know how difficult it is to find good employees. Recently our can was left in the road AFTER it was emptied and was subsequently hit by a snow plow. Now mind you it was a Saturday and we were home and went to get the can pretty early in the day, so it was not left out very long at all after collection. I called Kimble for a replacement and they want to charge me $100 for THEIR shoddy work. No way. The CSR suggested I pay it and go after the county for reimbursement. Again, No Way. It was their fault so they should be the ones chasing the county for their $100. I will be moving our business accounts and residential service to another company as soon as possible. Oh and I forgot to mention, I notified them with our account number through the website TWICE with no response. I ended up having to call and be transferred around just to be told I would have to pay for a new can. We have been very tolerant of their missing collection days due to staffing issues and never once complained. And this is how they treat their long time customers. read more

Then they commit to picking up the next day only to fail at that too. In my village we are contracted to use Kimble so we have no choice but to use this shotty company. If you have a choice... pick another company for your trash service. These lazy guys go out of their way to be crap. They will take bags OUT of my cans if they think there are too many(??) Mind you I have NO bags on the ground. They toss my cans onto their sides after they are finished as well. We turned in our recycle can after they would dig through it and throw out what they though was unacceptable (and this had just happened in the last few years or so after about ten years with none of these problems.
