The wait was about an hour but it was my fault that I did not make reservations (so make sure you do!). While we were waiting for our table, we sat at the bar and the husband and I grabbed a drink. The drinks were tasty. I love how big and spacious the restaurant is. It has plenty of seating. It is all you was eat BBQ or hotpot for 30.99 for adults and cheaper for kids or pay 5 dollars more for both. We did korean BBQ and the food came out quick. They have a good selections of meat to choose from. My daughter loved the beef belly. Our server was very nice and friendly but they also had a robot as a helper. A NOTE to remember is that YOU WILL COOK YOUR OWN FOOD which is like other Korean BBQ and hot pot place I been to in the past. They have a small selections of dessert and side dishes . Mixed feelings about returning. We were immediately greeted and seated for lunch. We opted for both kbbq and hotpot. The bulgogi was extremely fatty. It was hard to get the grill hot enough as we were provided butter (low smoke point) to cook our food with. It was extremely hard to eat. The mushroom broth was sadly bland to my taste. I tried the chicken broth and it was a little better. Kitchen missed a few items when we were ordering. For people who have never used the sauce bar before, might be nice to have a template or recipe guide for first time people to fully understand the sauce bar. read more

This was my first time at a place like this, we ended up getting the hot pot. We had really good service and the food was good. It took me a while to get the hang of the whole thing and was highly confused for a but, but once I got how everything worked it was a good experience. The only thing that could have been better, someone came and turned on the hot pot things on our table and walked away without saying anything. they didn't explain at all how to control them and how it worked. I had to keep pressing buttons until I figured out how to turn the temp up and down. I get how that would be normal for someone that has been there but I had no clue being it my first time here. Immediately upon entering we are greeted and asked if we are there for a special occasion, we explain that we are there to celebrate a birthday of one of my girlfriends. (4 of us total) and the hostess explained that her meal should be free then because of her birthday and there being 4 of us, she immediately gets so excited and happy which is great, she should its her birthday. As we sit down, the waitress comes by asks for our drinks and asks how we are paying (whos on who's bill kinda thing) and we explain that her meal should be free, and the lady asks if its actually her birthday, and we are like well its in 3 days but this is her birthday dinner. And she goes, well unless its the day before, day of, or after you cant get it free sorry. And im immediately irritated like why even ask us that and tell us that then? Is there a miscommunication between workers on policies? Maybe she was new. But my friend was SO upset that she was told she could have a free meal for it immediately to be bursted. Our waitress was nice, brought out a little sign for her to take a photo with, a fake pink rose and a small dessert. Which at first glance looked like ice cream with sprinkles and two mini brownies in the center, but it wasn't! It was just whipped cream from a can. Like seriously? Why even bother? Poor girl got excited and immediately disappointed AGAIN. I get we didn't order it, and she "didnt have to" but whipped cream? You can't serve a normal scoop of ice cream? (Honestly, i think she felt bad cause you could see it all over my face that i wasnt happy, and i felt she kept things slowly worse) The food was great, ordering was confusing because if you want more food you have to wait for someone else to come back around so you can order more servings. They also have a charge for food waste, its 14$ per pound. So say you way over order and dont finish they will charge you for all what was "wasted" and gets thrown away. Ive been to other places where they leave the tablet on the table so they can do the ordering, but if your trying to limit waste i guess that makes sense. Overall, I am ecstatic MI Pot is here. I am so relieved i dont have to drive 1.5 hrs away to get good kbbq or hot pot. I am happy to support this place and to see it succeed. This place just opened and clearly has a few things to improve but has the serious potential to be 4-5 stars. Staff are friendly and place is upscale and really renovated well. Just has a few processes to work out and should be good. We drove in from Tri-City area on a busy Sat night. Tried calling ahead the day before for a reservation for 2 but they don't take reservations for that few people. Walked in at 6:40 pm and was told an hour wait. This would have been fine bc we understood they were hoppin'...except it was more like an hour 20 min wait AND they were seating groups of ppl that came in after us without reservations before us. Turns out, they were saving all their large tables for large groups and everyone who came in pairs had to wait for 2-top tables to open. Imagine my shock when I saw in the dining room at LEAST 3-4 6-top tables free with NO one dining at them and at least us and two other 2-pair folks were waiting over an hour. When I brought it up the host had to ask the manager for permission to seat us at the larger tables and we noticed that they finally let the other pairs finally sit too. I can't believe we waited for an hour and 20 min when tables were free. Their hosting/seating process seemed rather slapstick and rudimentary. The hosts themselves were very friendly and trying their best but they were struggling with the volume. I think the process could definitely be improved. The interior of the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. bathrooms needed some serious cleaning and attention (both men and women) but the actual bathroom facilities were updated and nicely furnished. The galaxy stars/planet ceiling/Christmas lighting/interior decorating is beautiful. The Blackpink/Babymonster/New Jeans music was really fun to listen to all night. What exceeded my expectations were the table wear. Their plates, utensils, platters and cooking utensils were all gold colored, had a great weight to them, and easily stackable. This was Wonderfully thought out and i felt as If they really paid attention to those nice details. This place is very friendly to new folks to kbbq or hot pot. Sauce bar is well labeled (tho needed to be refilled quicker)-also missing sa cha sauce and white vinegar. I recommend folks to order quickly at the beginning. It took a very long time for the ingredients to come out. With the wait times it took two hours to walk into the door and actually get our food to our table. Robot cat waiter brings food. Don't be shy, just grab it from its back. :) Our waitress Claire was fantastic. 100% friendly professional and chill vibes. We loved her! Great job Claire! When the ingredients do come, at first I thought it was a bit extra to have every ingredient labeled and printed out. But for folks who are new to hot pot and kbbq this was a nice touch. Both times we ordered ingredients there were errors from the kitchen (first time missing rice, second time missed the noodles and Lettuce wraps) but honestly no big deal mistakes happen. I recommend to kitchen to double check. Soup broths were stellar. Schezuan was delightfully spicy. Mushroom broth exceeded my expectations. Ingredients for both hot pot and kbbq seemed fresh and good quality. Pork belly was good but the true Star was the short ribs! We ordered those twice . So delicious . The Virgin and regular Pina coladas we had were yummy. Also recommend customers to monitor the hot pot burner, it does time out so make sure it's still on while you are enjoying your meal. Also for the kbbq grill, the vents are inside the burner so the smoke is turned down draft and prevents the restaurant from being smokey. What a nice touch. They really put a lot of thought in the design. Overall I am very happy to support this place. I want them to succeed. Lots of great potential and I will be back. They have only been open a couple weeks and looks like business is thriving. I think with some more time their process will be improved. read more

At the time of writing this review the overall rank for this hot pot location was 3.5. Based on my experience I would say between 3 and 3.5 is fairly accurate. This was my 3rd experience with a bbq venue at this type of resturant. The last 2 were both in Grand Rapids Mi. The selections were lacking in my opinion for the price. And the sauces and flavorings also a bit on the limited side. I did enjoy the short rib and garlic shrimp but they need to double the vegetable options for pairing with the various meets. Server was friendly a good. Delivery of the items by a robot was new to me an interesting. Not sure I cared for the paper order slips placed on top of the various proteins and then being concerned about raw food contamination on my hands from the slips after removing them. read more

MI Pot has a beautiful, clean building and pleasant servers. It was fun to have the robotic server bring our food. The problem is that the food is not good, in fact, most is awful. We did the barbecue and all the meats were horribly fatty and grisly, with the only exceptions being the chicken and shrimp. We couldn't eat any of the beef or pork selections because it was impossible to chew them. Even worse than the food was that when we walked out we smelled like grease from head to toe. Clothes, hair, even our shoes smelled of old grease. They need better ventilation. We will not return. read more

Went here with my husband on a Friday night. Got a table within 10 minutes. Very clean restaurant. Nice staff always clearing the table. Theres an appetizer and sauce making bar. Make your dipping sauce how you like it! You can do hot pot or Korean BBQ as a table all must pick one. Or you can pay an extra $5 for the table to do both. My husband and I both did hot pot. We loved it. You can order more meat or veggies as needed. Udon noodles are very good. If you use chopsticks ask for a pair. They have Coke products. They have highchairs for babies. I've never been to a restaurant like this, what an amazing experience! I had the Thai broth for the soup, absolutely love it! My husband had the saszuan (I can't spell it) I didn't love that one bc it tasted like black licorice. The dumplings were fantastic and I loved the vegetable variety. The waiter was very helpful and nice. The decor and ambiance was a very cool vibe. I would absolutely come back. Probably not the best place to take young children. I wouldn't bring my young toddlers here for fear that they would tip over the hot pots and spill hot soup everywhere. But otherwise a very cool place :) hopefully they can do take out options! We ate there yesterday for the first time. First off the restaurant was very beautiful and clean. Everything was ok for a Korean BBQ, but there were a few negatives. Portions were great for the selection you had to choose from for meats etc but as for every Korean BBQ I've ever been to their amount of Banchan was negligent. Basically they had kimchi (which was good-never did ask if it was house made or not) spicy cucumbers and sliced daikon. You were also able to choose between white steamed rice and their version of Japchae to have with your BBQ. I'm not sure the noodle preparation would qualify as Japchae since there were only the seasoned glass noodles in it and it was missing what I would be accustomed to in an order of Japchae. We were supplied with an ample amount of lettuce for making Ssam. But there was no Ssamjang available. What Korean BBQ has no Ssamjang? I was disappointed to say the least. Also missing off the menu was Gyeranjjim, which also would have been a welcome addition to the meal. Our server was amazing and was always checking up on us throughout the meal and did promptly change out our grill before we went about cooking our last meats. So all in all if you are looking for a good place to satisfy an itch for Korean BBQ this place will do it but also in the same token there were a few elements missing from the experience that would be key to a great Korean BBQ meal. read more

The service was horrible. Waited 25 min to get a drink, brought me a pop without ice and then dumped it on my lap. The hot pot came out with inly enough noodles for 3 of the 4 of us. We asked for more and we're told it was coming. We noticed most of what we ordered for the hot pot wasn't there. The waitress said it was coming. It never came. Paid for the bbq....was charged for it....but onky got 1 small serving of bulgogi. The shrimp, short rib, amd ribeye never came. The mushrooms and veggies and rice never came.
