So, we went to Allston and ordered the hot cheetos korndog, kustomize your bowl, kfc honey teriyaki sliders, kimchipapi fritas, and ddukbokki. Everything was SOOO delicious and hit the spot! I was with three food-critic level foodies (one is a food science major), and they each 100% approved! The poke bowl was fresh, and the combination of seaweed salad, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, and sashimi was otherworldly! I had doubts about how it would all taste together, but the first bite took my imagination to another level~ the teen who ate the hot cheetos korndog could not get enough pics - it was so original and fun - and he also devoured the kimchipapi fritas. We got the sliders to go, because we were on an airport run, and we were stunned at how the sliders literally made a light, crispy crunch sound when bitten into. We were impressed with even the paper bag that held our order. It had holes pre-punched in them - so the steam would escape from the bag - WOW. We ordered 3 things: - Dem truffle fries: these were definitely tasty and good but whoever made our batch that night went HAMMMM on the salt. It was almost painful to eat, and I love salty food usually! - Chicken w/ cheese empanada: this was dry as hell and lacked flavor. A definite pass for me - Korean street corndog 1/2 beef 1/2 cheese: I've never had a Korean street corndog before, so I'm not sure what I was expecting. I definitely did not expect there to be so much loose sugar on top. What I thought would be easy to eat while driving turned out to be much more messy than anticipated. They offer two kinds here: one with cheese and one with beef hot dog. Both were very good with such a unique bread coating. The bread coating definitely makes it stand out as opposed to your traditional American corn dogs. Not sure if this is how Koreans do it, but kudos to them and keep doing what you guys have been doing! Out of the two, I do love the cheese one better (not sure if this constitutes as a corn dog at this point or if it's just fried mozzie sticks). The Bibim Noodle Bowl was pleasantly good. I didn't think I'd be into the kale noodles but I loved the texture. That Kimchipapi Sauce was BOMB!! If you're not feeling rice, this is the dish for you. You got the kimchi and the fish, it's the perfect dish on a hot day since it's chilled noodles. As for the appetizers, the Sriracha BBQ was so good!! Like you could actually taste the BBQ and the heat from the Sriracha without thinking it was just a hot sauce. The chicken pieces weren't small either so you're really getting it all without feeling robbed with your money!! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....the corn dogs......to be honest this was the reason why I came here. I was sad I couldn't go to the Korean corndog place in LA, so finding them here got me super excited. I've tried the fried chicken from several places by delivery via Door Dash and this one just didn't impress me. I ordered the honey teriyaki chicken but specified to send the sauce separately to avoid soggy chicken. Of course they forgot to do so and the chicken was much soggier than expected as it was no longer hot. Also, the chicken is all white meat so non-crispy breaded white meat is not as flavorful as dark meat. The order arrived fast so I don't think delivery was the problem in this case. I was hooked, and then tried the Kimchimama bowl, which became my favorite bowl! What I love about these bowls is that the ingredients are so fresh! This place is the shit, it's like a Chipotle but Asian themed. Try any of their rice bowls, they are to die for! I love that they use actual corn vs buying just the kernels. It makes a huge difference. I love all the side options of veggies from their cucumber to their kimchi and even their seafood salad (the imitation crab meat salad) is sooo good, sometimes I mix everything together and eat the salad on the side to clean my palette from all the spice. Also, how happy am I that I can get Korean corndogs in the USA? So happy! The last time I've had one of these was probably when I was a kid in Korea! The place is more of a takeout establishment; however there are a few tables if you will like to dine in. The set up looks sort of like a Chipotle. I ordered a kimchipapi bowl, a spicy glory bowl, and an order of takoyaki to go. My fave of the 3 were the takoyaki. It was fried perfectly, and it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauces and bonito flakes complemented it well. The two bowls were just okay. Nothing great about either. For the price of the bowls, i expected more food. I felt like there definitely wasn't enough raw fish in either bowls. Other than the amount of food in the dishes, they were quite tasteful. If you want to try both the potato dog and the street corndog, definitely recommend going all-cheese for the street one since the potato dog is hotdog-only. My favorite combination is Kale Noodle with salmon and poke sauce, with kimchi, avocado, crab salad, corn, fishcakes (yep, they have fishcake as an option), and spicy garlic topping. Considering the location, portion size and topping selection, the price point was on par ($8). Quick suggestion - for the fried chicken, it will be great if you could make it more crispy and not just a chicken fillet.
