The staff are so friendly there. A couple of things to note: the AYCE lunch and dinner specials have discontinued. But, they have since remodeled the place and it looks modern and fresh! Still no bar unfortunately, but they do serve alcoholic drinks! Sushi/fish quality is ok. I've brought friends here and they agree that the fish quality is not the best. The best sushi spot in Cambridge I have been too. Service is personal yet not suffocating as the restaurant is always quite empty. The sushi is refreshing and the menu delivers with its one of a kind staples. I got the rainbow maki and highly recommend it. The yakitori is grilled to perfection, just the right amount of juiciness. The sushi tacos are a bit overhyped but are a cute item to try. Hungry after a delayed flight, my nine-year-old daughter and I walked to One Bite & Bar simply because it's close to our Airbnb, we wanted something fresh, and it maintains a good Yelp rating. There's plenty of seating inside and the space has cute decorations. We ordered a few specialty rolls and tried two sushi donuts. The sushi rolls were really good and the sushi donuts were fun! Food was great for some dishes, okay for other dishes. The photos used for advertising make the portion sizes look decievingly small...the portions were indeed huge. We learned after the fact that they do serve normal sizes...except when you eat ayce. They pack on the rice and make things XL when you choose ayce. So we ended up paying twice as much (which is fine because we ordered it - our fault) but a heads up on the different portion sizes would've been helpful. As pleasing as it looks, all variations taste the same just in different forms. It was around $4-5 per item which is fair. The sushi tacos were the best - it was stuffed, crispy, and fun to eat. The sushi donuts just fell apart and got my hands all messy. Their menu is huge - they have hot items as well that we didn't try. These were pretty plain without the dipping sauce. The items that were more worth the price was the poke bowl, udon, and sushi "tacos". We saw this cute new addition to the neighborhood and couldn't help but stop by for their soft opening. Interior feels cozy and has some cute Asian decor. Quite a few tables available. They will eventually have a bar in the back that they're still finishing up. It wasn't busy at all. The young servers were very nice. On to the food. The menu had MANY items and variety which is great. From small bites to more hearty rolls and rice/noodle dishes. We ordered the edamame which was well salted and cooked. The lamb skewers came with 3 and we thought they were too saucy; I personally felt like the dry spice that's used didn't have the right ratio of spices. Overall it was okay. I ordered the One Bite roll which is reminiscent of an upgraded Philly roll and I thought it was a bit too saucy too. My girlfriend got the Udon noodles and we both thought they were overcooked. Finally our mini bowls: uni mini bowl and salmon mini bowl. They both had too much mayo which overpowered the seafood and I couldn't taste the uni. It's also quite a small dish though, think 3 bites. We went during their soft opening as they've only been open 2 weeks. Later on there will be a bar in the back. It's a casual dining spot and has a gas fireplace which is nice and gives it a cozy look/feel. The food was a bit overly saucy. We ordered the mini sushi bowls, mine was salmon and my friend ordered the uni. Both had a lot of mayo and we couldn't really taste the seafood much. We tried the lamb skewers which had the usual dry chili rub as well as a thicker sauce like oyster sauce or something. We also ordered edamame which was only a little over steamed. I had the shrimp tempura udon, the udon itself was a bit mushy (overcooked) and the broth didn't have much flavor. My friend ordered the One Bite roll which he also said had too much sauce but was nicely presented. Came here on a calm Saturday afternoon, drawn in by the sushi donuts! We ended up trying the salmon sushi donut and the tuna temari with crab filling. These were wonderful! Creamy, satisfying, and creative. Next we had the lamb skewers. I really like these because they had a nice balance of sauce and cumin seasoning. We finished out lunch meal with Taiwanese popcorn chicken which was a generous portion and very good! But, what came next was a huge surprise. We ordered some thick milk teas to take home and were blown away by how good they were! Very creative flavor combinations and in a very interesting see through soda canister type container. This place just opened a few weeks ago and I love sushi so had to try. First off they need to have a better description of the items on their menu. They also need to provide a more accurate picture of the portion size of their items. After we were seated I think every table had asked the same questions we did. I ordered a sushi donut and a mini poke bowl which because the portion size was not described well was not a lot of food. So I ended up ordering another noodle/salad bowl which was Huge! Sheesh. My friend ordered a chicken dish that was all dark meat which was not indicated on the menu but one would have thought if it was an ALL dark meat dish it should say so. Beyond that the flavor was a bit bland as well. We also ordered some mini dumplings appetizer that was just oddly served in a dish with a hole in the center and over a cup of soda. Couldn't really figure out why it was served this way and our server never gave any explanation either. The mini dumplings were also quite bland too. I will say the sushi and poke bowl weren't bad. I eat a lot of sushi and I might order some sushi from here to go in the future but that's all. Overall the food was just ok. The service was pretty good minus their lack of describing the food accurately and the place was well lit and clean. As always never take my word and give it a try yourself. read more

We tried many stuff as the ideas seem fun: - Lamb skewer: the sauce is a bit on the sweet side. The lamb itself is good. Not too fat or dry. Just wish they have more cumin. - beef skewer: seems the same seasoning as the lamb skewer. But this taste better and the meat is more tender - donut sushi: the salmon one is a bit fishy and doesn't seem too fresh/with good quality. - temari: it breaks easily probably because it has mango at the bottom. Flavor-wise, i like it better than donut sushi. Maybe this is eel. - sushi taco: it's interesting. We got to choose one main and two side ingredients to put in it. But they put lettuce at the bottom to make it taller. However, it's too tall, it's hard to eat as the ingredients on the top keep falling down. The fried seaweed is a bit oily to grab with my hand. - mini bowl: really small bowl with rice at the bottom. In general, the taste is similar, just the food presented in different forms. The flavor itself is good. We don't even need to put some wasabi or soy sauce. They have promotion now for free ice cream after more than $50. They decorated pretty cute. Service is good. read more

Its not a "typical" sushi restaurant you would think of. Sushi tacos were fantastic. My favorite was sushi donuts, well seasoned to perfection. The most impressive was the kids meal. We really appreciated the presentation and the quality of the food with such a reasonable price. Everything was freshly made. They also have non sushi items on their menu!
