Discussed briefly my experience with my prior salon and the impact it had on my hair. Felt like she listened and walked out the salon pressed, trimmed and curled. It took them 7.5 hours to do my boho braid bob which is a little faster than usual and not much different from the African braiders. They did all their parts very straight and added a number of touches here and there that gave the hair the appearance I wanted. The owner was very polite and offered refreshments frequently. I did not have 2 braiders the entire time, but they work as a team there and help each other out. The braiders only took the usual breaks so that made the process much more smooth. So far so good after three weeks. Excellent work.

I have now styled my hair after his coloring....AMAZING! I have gone to two highly recommended natural hair stylists and was disappointed with the coloring (and out of over $100 both times). I said I'd try Kevin based on a friend. I chose to do the consultation (I recommend it). We talked about what I was looking for in color. He showed me some light colors that had me a bit concerned (being honest). But, it's hair...I live on the edge and went with his explanation that it wouldn't come out that light. I came for my appointment, reiterated the vibe I was going for: noticeable lighter brown with some depth, but nothing too drastic and odd. He took that and ran with it. I had no clue what he was doing while coloring, but he took my 'vision' and threw on a couple of colors to get this AWESOME look! Here's my color! Hair feels fine; no dryness, no breakage so far (and no bleaching). I have no problem paying big bucks for color as long as it's GOOD! This was money well spent.
