THE best AYCE sushi around. We love sushi and this place is it. The sashimi tastes so fresh and buttery. They have (dinner menu) hibachi, ramen, noodles, fried rice, a BUNCH of rolls, appetizers, sashimi AND dessert. For only $35/ person this is our new place. For $35 AYCE, you can sample a large variety of Asian cuisine. Galbi and hibachi were good, but the sushi had a lot of rice. You have to eat all the rice to prevent from getting charged extra. The rice was gummy; not like sushi rice. The ahi tuna tower had an odd red bell pepper flavor that I hadn't tasted in other restaurants. I didn't like it. The cream cheese in some rolls was excessive and made the rolls hard to chew through. A lot of the rolls had shrimp tempura as the filling, but the shrimp tempura breading was off and not so tasty. You can order two specialty rolls at a time. Staff was attentive with the waitress stopping by frequently to ask if we wanted more food, and our empty plates were quickly taken away. We would come back strictly for the galbi and hibachi, but then I'm not sure if it's worth $35. The hibachi fried rice was very good. Keep in mind that it's AYCE, so the portions are small, but there's no judgement when you ask for multiple plates. read more

Wow, this experience was great, from the delightful cherry blossom tree at the entrance to the beautiful lighting and comfy seating in the booths. Our server Nate was fantastic, patient in explaining how the menu works, and then helping with recommendations based on what we like. My partner had Chicken Teriyaki and was very happy with the modifications she asked for, including her choice of veggies. The fried rice came with little salt, which she really appreciated, I had the All You Can Eat, something I don't usually do, and was very happy with the freshness of all the sashimi, just about everything they had on the menu even tho one piece of each. Also tried their cold sushi appetizers, again very fresh and tasty! I thought I had enough but then ordered gyoza because I was curious, and before I knew it they were gone, all by me! Can't say how the food was, we didn't get any. We were seated by the hostess and never waited on. After sitting for a long time with zero service we decided to leave. Walked right past all the employees goofing off and no one even spoke. Can't imagine the food being any good with management that allows people to sit forever without being waited on at all. This place was a vibe tonight. My first time here and went for all you can eat. Smart deal. Fresh and good. They played old school Kanye and some old school music, and the hostess and servers were grooving. They did a birthday for someone at another table, we all sang and clapped. Fast kitchen, reasonably fast sushi bar, generous cuts for AYCE, unlike Sushi Masa in Plano where 4 requested orders are actually 1 order sliced into 4 pieces. Great service. New and clean venue. Easy parking. Fish is mid grade but acceptable. Fried items are done quite well. Fresh oil, batter not too thick, sauce is just right. Raw scallops not too fresh. Hello! I have never posted on Yelp before but I have not stopped thinking about this restaurant and I hope to share the kindness they have given me! I have been here twice, once for the grand opening, and once on Christmas. The restaurant is so cute and it feels so cozy! The service is some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. They are all around extremely sweet and on Christmas they were so festive! And finally. The food here is genuinely amazing. They have food for the whole family and everything is delicious and worth trying. I am taking my boyfriend on New Years and I am counting down the days until I go again. I love Kimiya! read more

We order all-you-can eat for the entire table and asked the waiter to bring dishes that he felt were the best. He did a fantastic job and everyone loved it. Service was fast, efficient. If you plan to do the same, make sure you ask your server to bring individual sides of sauces, ginger, etc... so that you have enough of these for the different dishes that will come out. read more

I will honestly say for a new restaurant out here this one was amazing! we went to their soft opening and had an amazing time trying different items on the menu. Our waitress was sweet. I was very excited to try this place today but I walked out within 10 minutes of being there without ever trying the food. When we walked to the desk to put our name down I stood there for at least 5 minutes with two women at the front desk and neither of them acknowledged my presence. I continued to wait as I was trying to be patient. Then a man walked up to ask how long the wait was and the woman immediately acknowledged him and engaged in conversation with him. Once again, completely ignoring my presence. My husband then walked up and said "excuse me". Without even looking at him she just put her finger up and said "one minute" in a rushed manner. That is when I walked out because I refuse to spend my money where I feel I'm not welcomed. I understand they were busy but there is a better way to handle customer service. This was my first impression of this place and I will never step another foot in there. read more
