Of all the fish in the sea, blue fish is the right one for me. When I'm not indulging in Italian food, phenomenal seafood, or pastries, this is my happy place. The rainforest roll with a tequila old fashioned and good weather is hard to beat. I almost forgot I had work tomorrow.

Yummy sushi spot! Wasn't feeling too hungry so just had a small eel roll and shared some apps. The eel roll was alright, I've had better but it's very simple. The karaage had a nice breading and I really liked the kimchi mayo that came with it. Pretty unique as most places just have sriracha mayo. The ahi tuna tacos were also very good flavor wise, but wasn't expecting them to be so tiny when they brought it out.

My server, Tristan, was always attentive to detail and made great recommendations for me to try! The food was amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant is so nice and such a mood. 10/10!

Wow what a gem of a place with incredible sushi! Service from Jackson was great and the rolls were outstanding! Definitely get the Miami Vice and the Rainforest rolls!

The food was amazing. A great choice to go when in Dallas. The service was impeccable. So friendly and accommodating. I love it. The manager is also super friendly, doing rounds to make sure we're doing okay. Getting to know us and making us feel like home. The ambiance is great. Perfect for date night or just to hangout and watch sports. def will be back when I'm in Dallas.

Omg YUM! Had the jalapeño appetizer for starters and it was such a hit! Think California roll with eel sauce and a slight kick from the jalepeno. It tasted so fresh and so amazing! I had the Shark Bait roll. Honestly best (cooked) sushi I've had in a long time. My friend got spicy tuna and although I didn't try it, she loved it and raved about it. Got there at around 1:30 and they close at 2 before opening for dinner- which we didn't know before hand but the staff was great about it and service was 10/10. We were the only two in there and rushed to be sure the staff could close on time but the vibes were cute and the location is STUNNING. Next time we will def sit on the patio. Love the Blue Fish in uptown but this location is def my new fave!

This Mitsuwa location is located within a strip plaza with a good amount of parking. There are two entrances, with one closer to the food court area. The marketplace is smaller than the Mitsuwa location I used to frequent in Edgewater, New Jersey, and possibly closer in size to the Waikiki location, but that was to be expected. Their food court area was also small and had a handful of restaurants. The restrooms are located all the to the right side of the establishment, past the food court. While there are many Japanese goods available at this marketplace, the goods are not inexpensive. I appreciate they have my favorite drinks like CC Lemon and matcha, Japanese beauty products, and even some harder to come by Hawaiian Suns. There is a section to pick up pre-made sushi and cold food items as well as a pre-made and heat lamp covered area for hot food items, but both looked kind of dry. Not my favorite Mitsuwa location but would suffice and happy to have it around when I do need something in particular.

She liked it, but it was a bit spicy for her. I've always wanted to get their black garlic tonkotsu, but nervous I'll get sick of the taste. Love the bamboo shoots, and I love how they have the option for less salt and oil, which I always include.. However, I'm not sure if they actually follow it. The flavor is consistent and it's really good, but towards the end, it just gets too salty. They also don't provide water for their customers; you can either buy a bottle, be one of the lucky ones who actually gets a cup from the water machine in the middle of the seats, or buy one at Mitsuwa. I also wish I was able to choose another type of noodle for the tonkotsu white; I'm not a huge fan of thin noodles and tonkotsu white has thin noodles unfortunately. My husband gets their mazeman dish, which is a noodle dish without the broth. He gets it with their fried rice and a side of gyoza (3). Overall, it's a good place to eat after doing your groceries. There is always parking and you can walk around Mitsuwa when you have food coma or get boba at boba republic next door!

The menu is surprisingly big, offering a variety of dishes that cover all the bases, but what caught my eye was the Hibachi. I had just been to Benihana last week, so I figured this would be a fun comparison and ordered the Hibachi Chicken. A few minutes later, my meal was brought out by the young lady working the counter--who also happened to be pregnant and absolutely glowing. She had the kind of upbeat, welcoming personality that instantly makes you feel like you made the right choice coming in. Friendly service goes a long way for me, and she turned what could've been just another quick meal into something memorable. The food itself was delicious. If you enjoy Benihana-style flavors, this hits the mark--minus the chef flipping shrimp tails into his hat. The chicken was tender, the veggies were cooked just right, and with two sauces on the side, it had that perfect balance of savory and satisfying. This place is a great local option when you want something tasty without the long wait or fanfare. I'll definitely be back, and next time I might explore more of that menu that tempted me from the start. A solid little hidden gem in Allen worth pulling over for. I give this place my famous "Arnold Schwarzenegger" quote, "I'LL BE BACK"

That's why I'm not entirely sure how they messed it up so badly. We ordered: Chicken meatballs - couldn't tell you how they taste. They ended up grilling us the pork belly instead. Luckily, my child isn't a picky eater and he ate it. Takoyaki - it was ok. Not bad but nothing special Chicken thigh - it was literally a chicken thigh, sliced open with the bone still in and skewered. Not sure why the meat wasn't cut off the bone and then threaded onto the skewer Spam musubi - no sauce, seasoning, or dusting of furikake on the rice. Sliced piece of spam on top wasn't basted either. Teriyaki sauce on the side - this is what really made me want to give a frank review. I didn't think that this meant don't season or baste any of the meat. But apparently, that's what it means. Not only that, but they gave us the spicy teriyaki sauce. I'll take the blame in that I should've tried it before I dipped the meat into it to feed to my child. But I didn't, so he sat there suffering. The dining in portion is part of the open hall concept and everyone is considerate here so that's not an issue. They're lucky that's the case because I would hate to see them trying to also manage bussing and serving tables if they can't even get our order correct. The food also took forever and I don't understand why. We decided that we're never going to be ordering food from here again. I advise that if you choose to, triple check your order when you go to pick it up at the counter. Check every single detail, line by line, and don't leave until you make sure.
