The food was excellent more than we expected! We will go back to try something else again! We had a great waiter who helped us the whole way. Best in class!

All the sushi we got it very fresh and amazing combination of flavor. But still feel it's a bit overpriced Vs the amount of food we get.

Quality, ambience and service here are top notch! You can tell the freshness of the ingredients that they use. Love their mentaiko udon especially and the super toro roll!! Worth noting that their lunch combos like the salmon lover don't come with miso soup or anything though.

I didn't realize how far north Sushi nunu was... it's literally in Prosper. I thought the sushi was ok... some of the fish needs to be cured better because it was kinda bland. They did ran out some of the choices on their hand-written board. The service was good. The chef even gave us a complimentary piece.

I absolutely LOVE Sushi Nunu! Their sushi is always fresh. My favorite sashimi is the yellowtail and blue fin tuna. I also love their tuna tower and volcano roll. Every time I have visited the food has always been consistently delicious. If you want some melt in your mouth sushi, Sushi Nunu is where you will find it.

Sushi nunu is smaller but my family loves to come here when we are craving sushi and need an easy place to pick. It's like your typical sushi restaurant but the food is always tasty, reliable, and quick. Highly recommend!

Dare I say my new favorite sushi spot!! All the rolls we had were fantastic and different from rolls I typically see (they still have classic rolls). Everything was SO fresh, you could really taste the quality. The servers were so friendly and helpful and the interior was very clean. I will be back to try more!

Yummy!!!! Went here for my moms bday dinner and it was really good! We started with the ikageso (fried squid) and some miso soups - squid was tender and came out v hot and yum, miso soups were also flavorful c: For sushi we got the madai carpaccio and a variety of nigiris - honestly for the price it was all really good!! Fish was fresh and the toppings on each nigiri was yummy. Nigiris are mostly 2pc per order except for some, and i think the pricing is super good esp compared to other sushi restaurants in dfw. My fav pieces were def the tuna nigiri, hirame, hotate and kanpachi!! For rolls we just tried the negihama - i thought this one was just okay! Still yummy but it felt like there was a lot going on flavor wise and i would prefer if it didnt come wrapped in the raddish but still yummy!!! Service was also really nice, very friendly and attentive :") the restaurant itself is super clean and lots of parking in the complex!

First time here, and I'm already a fan! I stopped by for the lunch special and got the sushi & maki combo -- super happy with my meal. The fish quality was top-notch, and I loved the touch of wasabi on top. It's the little details! The sushi rice was spot on -- you know it's good when each grain stands out, with that perfect hint of vinegar. Service was amazing too; we were checked on constantly, which made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back and try more entrees because the ingredients here are freshhh. Highly recommend!

Ordered the Nunu roll, Super Toro roll and the Negi Hama. All were very fresh and super delicious. My favorite was the super toro, you can taste the fattiness of the tuna and it's a nice splurge for a date night. The Nunu roll was fresh and full of fish, perfect for a light bite without the rice. Negi Hama was also delicious, but I wish the charred scallion was a bit more pronounced. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly.

I have to start by saying that the entire staff here was incredibly sweet and attentive The entire place was very clean, and my food came out way faster than I expected I'll start with my sushi because this was one of the most interesting flavors I've ever had. I honestly wish I could describe it, but it almost felt like a dream because I just left and I can't even remember. I would order this role every day of my life for 80 years minimum. It was so good and whatever sauce it came with was insane. I'm a big believer in putting a little bit of soy sauce on a roll. Because when does it roll not need it? But this one... It would be an insult to change anything about it. I'm so serious. I'm going to take my mom here just for this role because she's a huge sushi snob and I know she's going to move to Texas just for it. The curry was good, but not great. The Katsu chicken was perfectly cooked and it brought a ton of chicken, but the actual curry itself was really mild and a little bit bland. That is totally fine if your new to curry and want to just get a feel for what it's like without committing to a lot of flavor or spice, but for me, I like my curry to take over my entire mouth. It was really good though, I might not order it again, but I sure am going to devour it as leftovers. Overall, this place is a five out of five for me and I will definitely be coming back to try more of the sushi

Visiting from Orlando went with Son's family. Had excellent friendly service. All Sushi was fresh and delicious. Good reasonably priced Sake and an enjoyable time. The ambiance can improve since it had a peculiar smell when we arrived. We will be back though.

Came back to sushi Nunu last night and still believe this is some of the greatest sushi in the McKinney/prosper area . The waitresses are sweet and the restaurant is clean and bright. Their fish is superior quality - and you just can't go wrong here. MUST HAVES : Super toro, negi Hama, machi maki. If you like hot appetizers, the shrimp shumai are delicious - love the sauce they come with , they also have a delicious wagyu bao bun. You can't go wrong with anything you have here .

Sashimi was great and fresh. The pan fried pork belly has good seasoning but quite salty. We took it home to eat with rice. Pork cutlet was very dry. Wings were dry too, not juicy. Tonkotsu ramen tasted good and salty too. The servers were nice. I do think they expect you to know your order already to make a quick turnaround since there were constant ppl waiting at the door. Short wait on a weekday right when the doors open (in 100+ degree summer heat). But I don't think it was amazing and felt hyped up to me. Prob would not come again if you have to wait in similar heat.

The vibes inside are very moody mid-century modern "Mad Men" vibes and our waiter as well the hostess were very welcoming and patient and happy we were there. Food time. The Furikake rice with the Gyutoro was really good. It was this perfect balance of first appearing to not seem special to omg this is incredible. It was just a subtle surprise that was really unexpected. The spicy crunchy tuna roll was the only sushi roll we ordered. It was very tuna forward and whatever they used to create that crunch on the exterior on the roll made it one of a kind. The Brussels smothered in their fish caramel sauce was rather delightful. The sauce wasn't fishy at all and the sauce wasn't too much. Really happy with this dish. The shrimp Karaage however was heavily sauced and did overpower the dish for us. It was really unfortunate because the fried shrimp on its own you could tell would have been great. If I ever order this again, I'll ask for the sauce on the side. The real star of the show for us was the Iberico cooked inside their hearth. The pork was cooked exceptionally and you could taste the smoke in it. But that broth it was it was sitting in, they could build a whole ramen dish around this in my opinion. Excellent dish. Can't wait to come back and explore some more.

Starting with the positives, our server did a fantastic job (9/10). The staff is attentive, professional, and well-trained. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant are also quite nice, earning a solid 7/10. However, for a restaurant where the food is supposed to be the main rage, it completely missed the mark on value. The dishes are undeniably overpriced for what you get. While the presentation is high-end, the actual taste and quality of the sushi and nigiri were just "ok"--honestly, no better than what I've had at several other standard Japanese restaurants in the area. When you are paying top-dollar prices, the food needs to deliver an exceptional flavor experience, not just look pretty on a plate. I didn't feel the value matched what was paid tonight. Would I go back? It is an absolute "no" for me. Sorry Uchiko I know my review won't matter given the restaurant was pretty busy while we were there.

Good service, exceptional atmosphere, good food…read more I ordered the Edoko #1 roll, pumpkin tempura, and squid tempura. The Pumpkin and Squid Tempura was nothing special, but was good. The Edoko #1 roll was the standout of my meal. Most rolls that have this many ingredients are mediocre because none of the ingredients are distinguishable, but this roll was great and presented very well. My only gripe would be that the roll was hard to fit in one's mouth My partner got some robata, pork Gyoza, and the hot stone beef. The robata was good, and the pork Gyoza was great, but the hot rock was disappointing. The beef was extremely thin and you only got a few pieces. Cooking on the rock was difficult, causing the beef to stick and shred. Finally, the beef was served with a large portion of regular slice mushrooms that seems to still have the dirt from the package on them.

I got gyoza, yakitori chicken, yakiniku short ribs, and the hot rock. The gyoza was more equivalent to mandu (had rice noodles inside, and a lot more fried and crispy than usual gyoza), but I enjoyed it alright for the price. My chicken was average at best and lacked flavor even with the sauce it was drenched in. The short ribs were the highlight of what I ordered, and had good grill taste and plenty more than I thought I would be receiving. The hot plate however was incredibly gimmicky, even more so than I expected. The meat was flavorless even when dipped in ponzu and even with the provided butter it stuck horribly to the rock. The mushrooms weren't that impressive either, and you get maybe 7 tiny slices of beef. Do not get this dish if you come here. Bf enjoyed his pumpkin and calamari but said the tempura skin lacked flavor. However, he greatly enjoyed his sushi roll for the price and noted he would get it again. Overall, for the food I personally received, it was average at best and for sure overpriced. You can get similar better food nearby at a better price at Umiya off of Preston. I personally do not really wish to return for the price tag. Note that parking here was a bit crowded on a Friday night. We parked a 3-5 min walk away.
