I was visiting with my two friend on Thursday night. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly The sushi is amazing and the presentation are awesome. I would love to come back here

Tiny spot in this cute cozy area. Their sushi did not meet our expectations. We won't go back.

We eat sushi everywhere, and we know the difference in freshness and effort. We ordered two items from the menu: the Salmon Crown Roll and the Ahi Tuna Tower. We were very disappointed in both. The Salmon Crown Roll was missing the masago, thrown together, and the crabmeat meat was thickened with cream cheese. The Ahi Tuna Tower was tiny compared to other sushi restaurants (but asking the same price). The Tuna was dry not moist, minimal effort to making a delicious beautiful tower. This $30.00 lunch was not worth it. I didn't leave a tip, that's not like me, but it was that bad.

Great service. The rolls are amazing and good portions! Will definitely come back. The staff is very friendly.

This review is mostly based off the fried rice. I have cooked professionally for over 20 years. Let me just say... this fried rice goes in my top 10 all time favorite things I have ever eaten. I cannot pin point what they put In it to make it so amazing. I'm contemplating getting a job here just so I can learn their secrets. I have never been inside. I have only ordered through DoorDash. So I can't speak for anything that goes with that. The fried rice has been consistent every time I ordered except once. I could tell they had someone else working that day. But I have to tell you... life changing. As far as sushi I have ordered a bunch of different rolls. I feel their selection on those is lacking... I want more sauces on my rolls and more choices. But they have always been fresh and they aren't cheap on the fish or fillings. My favorite roll is the Canoe. If you told me I would like a sushi roll wrapped in a fried tortilla 2 years ago I would laugh at you. They don't have any of my favorite sashimi online but I can't speak for in store. All in all, pretty legit little sushi place here in Mckinney. Don't place an order without the fried rice or you will be doing yourself a disservice.

Enjoyed this establishment for lunch. I am glad I chose to try it. I was hungry and almost finished before I took a picture. I ordered the Texas roll, vegetable spring roll and pork quoza. The roll was the strength of this review. The ingredients were fresh. The pairings were tasty and unique. I love the fact that the crab meat was snow crab. I can't wait to try more sushi rolls. The vegetable spring rolls were ok. Ingredients were good. I prefer a light and crispier shell. The gyoza was ok too. They were worth the try. Next time I will stick with the sushi rolls. The kimchi soup is on my list to try next. So far this is the best sushi spot in my area. I have tried at least four others. I wish I would have tried them sooner.

Love this little neighborhood byob place. Simple, fast, and delicious. Everything I've had is flavorful, fresh and just the right amount of perfectly cooked rice in the rolls.

We started off with the Uni+A5 Wagyu sushi and while it was slightly pricey, the quality of the Uni and Wagyu more than made up for the price. It was one of best dishes we had that we evening! Next we got the Sashimi premium tray and let me tell you, the next 20 minutes we were oohing and swooning over each sliver of fish they had served which had come from Japan and many other countries around the world. Next we ordered their Pork Belly skewers which were glazed so beautifully that each piece brought a burst of never experienced before flavors. Certainly a gem of a dish! Next we got the sizzling A5 Wagyu over rice which as hand tossed table side (video added) The flavors and textures in this dish left us in raptures!! Wife wanted some more Sashimi , so we got the Itoyori - Threadfin Bream and the Muki Hotate - Hokkaido Scallops, all of which was to die for !! And to close out we got the Yuzu Crème Brûlée , the perfect closure to such a fantastic meal !! We want to Thank Melvin for his wonderful recommendations and table side service and the most wonderful conversation that we had with him. We also thank the chefs who prepared our dishes and made this a most memorable dinner!. Ambience was quiet and very romantic ! We can't wait to bring our friends here for our next celebration.

First thing first if a restaurant mentions on their door and their website/Google maps that they are open till 11:30 PM - i totally imagine that they will be open till at least near that time. We were late, but life and baby does not work on a timetable, but knowing that we can still go out and celebrate was important. We reached the restaurant at 10:22 PM and were immediately told last call in 8 minutes. Weird, which restaurant does last call an hour before. Next we were absolutely rushed throughout the dinner. Again, we understand us being late and if the staff needed to leave early, just let us know to come back again and we would have been more than happy to go somewhere else, rather than plate full of food being tried to be cleaned up. Just change the restaurant timing if you cannot abide by your own time, we would not have chosen it as such! Sounds pretty bad to complain about the time when we came in at 10:22 but we came in then BECAUSE their times mentioned they were open for an hour more which any reasonable person would say is enough! Food was extremely mid - having eaten at many MANY sushi restaurants now, and knowing what we get for what we pay for, maybe it was because the staff wanted us gone The Bluefin Tuna sashimi was great, Yellowtail was very mid (like felt "slimy"which is a weird feeling to have when eating sushi lol), my wife obsesses over Salmon and this time she was being very generous to me with her pieces lol. The double pleasure roll was pretty good, but came too late to the story. Ambience is great. Staff was decent, except our server who was hovering hard. I totally understand you want us out of there, but just dont sit anyone if that is the case - dropping 100+ dollars to have that experience does not feel right. I will stop, I always read these reviews and imagine a crumudgeon somewhere angry and writing this, but this is just a warning to anyone who was gonna take a late night dinner option here!

The menu is surprisingly big, offering a variety of dishes that cover all the bases, but what caught my eye was the Hibachi. I had just been to Benihana last week, so I figured this would be a fun comparison and ordered the Hibachi Chicken. A few minutes later, my meal was brought out by the young lady working the counter--who also happened to be pregnant and absolutely glowing. She had the kind of upbeat, welcoming personality that instantly makes you feel like you made the right choice coming in. Friendly service goes a long way for me, and she turned what could've been just another quick meal into something memorable. The food itself was delicious. If you enjoy Benihana-style flavors, this hits the mark--minus the chef flipping shrimp tails into his hat. The chicken was tender, the veggies were cooked just right, and with two sauces on the side, it had that perfect balance of savory and satisfying. This place is a great local option when you want something tasty without the long wait or fanfare. I'll definitely be back, and next time I might explore more of that menu that tempted me from the start. A solid little hidden gem in Allen worth pulling over for. I give this place my famous "Arnold Schwarzenegger" quote, "I'LL BE BACK"

My guess is that this allows them to keep costs down. They offer a delicious menu with a wide variety of combinations, both sushi and hibachi. For the most part, the food is made to order, and the sides like rice, noodles & vegetables are pre-made. Sauces are made in-house, each one has a different level of heat, and I have to admit they are addictive lol. We ordered the Steak & Shrimp Hibachi, as well as the Beef Bibimbap = $31.00. I myself don't really like sushi, so I got the chicken yakisoba. I'd place it at average to above average yakisoba, with strong flavor and thin noodles. I think beef or pork would have better suited the dish had they had them--the chicken was good but a little dry. My partner seemed to very much enjoy his omakase. He got the 10 piece course, and there wasn't anything he thought was bad or mediocre. I asked for his favorite and he mentioned both tuna options that he received, including one with truffle. It was also his first time trying caviar. When asked what could be improved, he cited that when he had his omakase in Japan, it was more than just nigiri options. He liked the little appetizers, hand rolls, and more that he had gotten there. He said that while this 10 piece course was great, he wished for a bit more variety. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal here and would return again. Shoutout to the waitstaff for not forcing the whole table to get the omakase (that's happened to me before)!
