So, long story short: Kimm's was saved by Sue. They almost received a nasty Yelp review due to a disappointing delivery my husband had ordered on Friday (04/13/18). He tried to send me an "I'm sorry" bouquet for something dumb that he had done. He's on a business trip down south, so he ordered thru a local florist in Fontana, they in turn had Kimm's Flower Basket prepare and deliver the arrangement. Seems Friday the 13th was in effect because the flowers didn't get delivered until today (Sat 04/14/18). Then, the arrangement was a total disappointment. I had gone online the day before and saw the arrangement he had ordered. The arrangement I was holding looked NOTHING like what the website showed. Nothing, other than they were flowers. Then, I knew he had upgraded to "Luxury Grade" - the flower arrangement I was holding was a small, weak bouquet that was almost all yellow, with some greens. It was supposed to have lots of color, oranges, reds, etc. Nope. In my opinion, it looked like a week-old arrangement from Safeway. My husband paid upwards of $113 for this???!! No way. So, after calling the original florist in SoCal, who told me that someone from Kimm's would be calling me to fix the arrangement. Waited. Waited. Waited. No call. So, I called the next day (today - Saturday) around noon. I spoke with Sue, who said she would look up my order and call me back in 10 minutes. 3 hours later and I'm getting ready to call both florists to say I just want my money back, because this is ridiculous. Sue must've heard me telepathically, because she called just then & asked if she could come by today with new flowers. I said, "sure." Not expecting anything after this total clusterf*ck, I forgot about her coming by. Well, the doorbell rings, and it's Sue!!! In her hands is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ARRANGEMENT~!!!! It's stunning! Much, much, much better than the tired, anorexic bundle they originally delivered. Sue totally redeemed herself and saved the day!!! I am out of town and ordered flowers for my aunt's 98th birthday, we even upgraded the flower size, and we got less than the smallest size. If you are expecting them to be honest and deliver what you ordered think again. I would never use them again, and trying to warn others who can't see what they are buying. I'm a fan of the cafe. Recommended as a good alternative to chain coffee shops. Great place to do your own work or to have a small, private meeting. It's generally quiet (except around lunch time), has great light because of all the windows, free wi-fi, tables and couches, good coffee and a simple lunch menu. You can always take a break and peruse the art in the gallery in the back. I haven't bought flowers here, but they look nice. read more

I have received many flower arrangements from various florists, but this was the FIRST time I received one from Kimm's! To say I was pleased is a definite understatement. The arrangement was not only beautiful, but the variety and colors of the flowers were exceptional. This is the first time I saw lavender gladioli, and they were beautiful, as was the entire arrangement which also included 4 yellow rose buds. The arrangement is over a week old, and despite pulling one or two steps of the mums, everything looks as fresh as the day it was delivered! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! I went to their website to check out their flowers and decided to order the Telefora's Smile for Me. I saw that the delivery fee was going to be $17.00 so I decided to call in the order in to get a discount on the delivery fee because I was just 2 miles away. The person on the phone said she would not charge me the full $17.00 which was fine and she would deliver by 3:00 pm. I decided to order the Premium size. She said no problem. The flowers arrived and what a disappointment! I was expecting a huge arrangement because I ordered the biggest size but the size that came was not even the size of the small version on-line. The arrangement was placed in a round vase and the arrangment came ONE SIDED! I called and when I explained my disappointment the person did not care. She said she added more flowers and I told her she did not. There was no way that there was more flowers. All she would say was sorry. Sorry?! Well sorry lady, but you lost me as a customer and I will tell my 10 friends, and they will tell their 10 friends... and so on and so on. read more

Granted the quality of roses I got for my city hall bridal bouquet was awesome, at $175 the style screamed '80s with the plastic holder, lace underneath, and abuse of baby's breath sprigs. Seriously, I asked for all roses, NO baby's breath, and just a red ribbon (not red and white). How hard is it to make a simple ribbon tied rose bouquet? I'm never buying flowers from this shop ever again if they can't even fulfill a simple request/design. I was so upset the fiance offered to give me the $175 I paid for it but I told him no, it wasn't the point of my gripe. read more

They've always been very helpful hand selecting the ones they're about to sell me, and inspecting them to make sure they'll last for a while. Left hand, right hand problems. After all the positive reviews I decided to try them out. Went in on a Friday to order a small arrangement for pickup the next day. The order taker was nice and we discussed what I was after. We looked at some pictures, talked about color scheme, and went over the flowers I could expect. When asked about budget I said about $30. He thought that I wouldn't get more than single rose at that price and suggested maybe $40 to have more headroom. Single stems are $8. Hmmm a little pricey but I'm all for supporting local businesses. $40 it is. Fast forward. I'm in a real hurry on Saturday and pickup the arrangement. Nice colors, decent size, not a single rose. I have no time to debate so I leave and look it over later. After all the time I spent there on Friday and the references to specific images in their books I would have expected something a little close to what we talked about. Afterall, the only reason I said OK to $40 was with the understanding that I'd get more than one rose. If your price structure will not allow it, don't promise it when up-selling me. If one person implies I'll get at least one, then make sure I get it. Lesson learned, make sure you see what they are writing down in the order. If you ask for specific flowers, have them write it down so the arranger includes those flowers. One hand didn't know what the other one was doing in this case. I'll continue my search for a good local florist. Gotta be honest, later saw a very similar bunch of flowers at Lucky's for about $9. read more

I just worked with them as my wedding vendor, and flowers are ok, and a little bit pricy. However, she promised they would set up and secure my aisle runner on the floor by pins. Disappointedly, they didn't pin the runner, and when I walked down the aisle with my dad the runner already became a mess. Don't even mention when we were about to take group photos. The runner was totally a mess. I can't believe that they just used thin layer white paper as my runner, and charged me 55 dollar for 100 yard. I can't say enough good things about this place. They exceeded my hopes not to mention expectations, and made me very happy! My fiance and I changed our minds about three weeks before the wedding and decided to get flowers after all. Yes, I said three weeks. We decided this impulsively on a Saturday night after dinner out and much to our frustration, all the other florists were closed. We drove to Kimm's expecting it to also be, but it was open! Also, they said they could do it in that really short time frame. I knew I wanted really red roses in my bouquet to contrast with my royal blue gown (hey, I don't look good in white) and I didn't want the tacky white plastic holder. She suggested wrapping it with a single white ribbon. The prices were so reasonable, we decided to go ahead and get altar displays and table centerpieces as well. We picked out a small inexpensive setting design in the book and added boutonnieres for the best man and my brother. (We'd already planned on getting the bridesmaid and flower girl wrist corsages). We'd already spent so much money on everything else and hadn't budgeted for flowers, so we went minimal. She made some suggestions and we let her have free rein as long as she stuck to the colors and prices. I'm so glad we did, because when we got everything, it was even more beautiful than the pictures we'd chosen. Instead of the cheap, plain, thin vases in the book, she'd used very nice ones with heavy bottoms and a graceful shape and she'd stuffed them with more flowers than we expected in very beautiful arrangements. I can tell they like it when they can use their artistry! She also found chiffon ribbon to match my dress and used that in the centerpieces and altar displays. My bridal bouquet was FAT with more than a dozen roses, deep red and packed together beautifully in a globe--no filler, just gorgeous roses opened just the right amount and very healthy. They lasted a long time, too. Everything was better than I hoped for and the prices were very reasonable--especially considering it was off-season (October) and on short notice! Remember, all this was done in three weeks, and flowers can't just be baked. She didn't stuff everything full of seasonal fall foliage either. read more
