I have come to this restaurant many times for lunch and have been impressed with the quality and quantity on our plate. BUT tonight they totally disappointed my whole family, especially after me raving about Crooked Pint. Food came out cold (you could tell it sat on the pass), bread not toasted at all, like at lunch, bacon on burger not chewable, music way to loud could bearly have a family conversation, and drinks not refilled. Now I could understand if they were pack and short staffed, but staff had plenty time to stand at the end of bar and chit chat. Very disappointed tonight. Now you could say it was because it was valentines day and they were busy, but they only had about 10 tables seated and plenty of staff congregate at the end of bar. This was perfect stop to meet with a friend after work, and I didn't really focus on the service and the quality of the food much. Excellent location attached to the hotel. I confessed that the food was to fill the empty stomach and so I could drink more cold beer. The nachos was a bit soggy and didn't taste the most fresh, but the flat bread was delicious. The Crooked Pint Ale House is located inside the Holiday Inn. It is spacious, with one entrance from within the hotel and another from the outside. The bathrooms are accessible outside of the Ale House, but they are not far away and are very clean. Service can be slow, both from the wait staff and the kitchen. However, we did not take any steps to encourage the wait staff to speed things up. They seemed unsure of how fast they should be moving, and they would have responded if we had asked them to expedite. One featuredd item on the menu is the "Lucy Burger." Although it is promoted as a stuffed burger, it actually consists of two stacked patties with cheese placed on top, not between. (see picture) No one asked us about our preferred degree of doneness; the default is well done. If you wanted something other than fries, there was an additional charge. The waffle fries, however, were perfectly done. Overall, the burger was just as good as the fries, even though it was cooked well done. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, with soft background music. The most challenging aspect of our two-hour meal was accommodation. However, the seating could have been more comfortable for some. The GREATEST thing about the whole "Easter Brunch Experience", was that we had BRIAN again as our waiter!! He is absolutely AWESOME!! lf you go to the 'Ale House' make sure to ask for BRIAN!! Came here Sunday lunch time and the place was pretty empty. We were seated promptly and ordered the Poutine, which sounded delicious, but was underwhelming. The gravy was lukewarm and the cast iron dish that it's served in wasn't hot at all. I got the Beer Cheese Lucy with tater tots and the tater tots were excellent; I can see why they won awards. The Lucy was alright; very saucy like the description says but it was almost too much. The bacon was soggy and you couldn't taste the burger at all. The service was ok. For not a lot of people, it did seem slow. Towards the end of our meal, the staff was at the bar register chatting and on their phones and one was talking loud enough that we heard an expletive from across the room. There were some young kids in there so they may not have heard, but it was definitely loud enough for my wife and I to hear it and stop our conversation. We started with the Cajun Onion Rings and the Garlic Vinegar Wings which were on a Happy Hour special. Then my partner and I got the Beer Cheese Lucy and the Cheesesteak Lucy. This place is hit-and-miss when it first opened up. It was a great place to go to for while. I or juicy Lucy's, but we've had so many bad visits in the past year. Finally, we reserved a table for 10 for Mother's Day last week. My wife called twice to make sure the reservation was still on, and the lady answered the phone said yes. When we got there, they said they had no reservation for us. Very disappointing, they did find us a table. It was a buffet. The food was dried out and tough and it was at 12 o'clock. The kids, of course, they loved the desserts that was about it. I am so disappointed. We will never visit this place again. What an amazing spot hiding in plane sight inside of a Holiday Inn. Don't be fooled by the boring facade outside because once you walk through the doors the restaurant/bar is quite nice inside. I was shocked to see how empty it was inside, but heard others talking about how busy it had been before the cardinals game started. We took a seat at the bar and were greeted right away by a very nice woman who ended up being our bartender. I was pleased to see they offered a sour beer on tap. It was lemon meringue and tasted just like it and was very smooth. I quite enjoyed it. I was a bit hungry so I also ordered the salmon bowl. Everything came out quickly and was so delicious. There are multiple TVs to watch the games and many beers on tap. They offer dining tables as well as cozy chairs to enjoy drinks with friends and relax. I love finding something new to try. The ambiance of this restaurant alone makes it a fun place to meet friends. I have been to other restaurants associated with Holiday Inn and this one has to be one of the best. The food could use improvement but the beer selection was really good. I hear the appetizers are pretty good as well. When we visited, the place was pretty slow. I think there were only a half a dozen or so people there. I think I noticed two waitresses. Service was a little slow, but I did have a pretty good beer to nurse while we waited. I had the Walleye sandwich. The fish seemed oily but the fish tasted good and was nicely done on a hoagie roll, lettuce and tomato. It was really pretty good. My wide had the Chicken Pot Pie. Unfortunately not so good. The carrots were uncooked and crunchy which really turned my her off to it. The prices seemed higher than average, so really the food should be better. But I will say that the salad was one of the best around! I love the fine grated cheese that they put on top. Also I thought their Thousand Island dressing was really good. That will be a great start for my next visit. Any issues asside, this is a fun place to be. I will have to try other dishes to find something that I really like. We were there to see a Chris Stapleton concert at the "semi nearby" Desert Diamond arena. The Holiday inn is not walking distance to the arenas, and we didn't have a car. They have a really good selection of beers on draft in addition a slection of hard alcohol. If you're a local, stop on in and give 'em a try. If you're visiting the area and are looking for a bite to eat and a few drinks but don't want to fight with the mall traffic, drive on over the freeway to the Crooked Pint Ale House! My wife's pit pie was ok, she said the vegetables were under cooked and hard. She said it tasted ok, but that was her comment. As you all know from my reviews, I am a French dip snob. This one did not meet my top 100. The sandwich was very greasy and if this makes sense, very dry. I think the meat was over cooked cut also lacked any flavor. The waffle fries were over cooked so hard, almost like potato chips. Their menu is pretty good with Lucy burgers, tacos and sandwiches. We shared a Gaint pretzel with beer cheese and this was very good.
