What I got : Stella artois Church music Spinach artichoke )with substitute tortilla chips over the pita chips it goes with) Shepherds pie When I came in, it was pretty open there wasn't too many people and I got served pretty fast when I sat at the bar. The spinach artichoke dip was actually quite flavorful and creamy, but then I didn't really like the taste of it too much after so many hard chunks in it that were maybe artichoke pieces that made it very unpleasant to want to eat and they didn't really have flavor to them so it was very hard to tell what they were but it just ruined the good flavor and creaminess mixed with weird hard clumps nonetheless it was good some of the better artichoke dip I've had in a minute. I really wish I didn't have those in there or if they were just softer. The shepherds pie was pretty good. Doesn't really have a lot of vegetables in it. It's mostly just the ground beef and a ton of carrots not that many peas Or onion pieces the mashed potatoes on top tasted pretty good. I couldn't tell if it was like instant mash or not. And my drinks were nice and cold. Had no problems with those. Overall, it wasn't bad at all. I want to eventually try the curry chips as well and see how they pair with other places I've been. Another problem I had was how expensive the shepherds pie was for the small version. It was $19. I think that's a bit ridiculous considering every other place has been cheaper than $19 for a big normal size.

It's a bar. That wants you to drink. Awful

Refused us service. Place was awful to us. Sat & waited several of us, no one came to us at all. Got up .& left, it was like we were not there. If you are not drinking, this place is not the place to go to. They have many smokers outside

They have black and white pudding with their Irish breakfast, so they get five stars. Everything else was really great as well, but the breakfast was the real champ. The cod sliders were an extra special treat! We can't wait to come back here and try everything else!!

I always enjoyed this place when it was at the Metro Center location. This location is a bit fancier than the previous one, but honestly has lost a little bit of the original charm of the old place. This is much nicer neighborhood and probably much better in the long run. It's very nice inside and the food and service is good. Of course I had to start off with a Guinness draft, which is not normally my favorite, but it is cool to have it served with the logo on the foam. I had the fish and chips which was very good. The tartar sauce was too sweet for me, but the fish was delicious. I prefer dill relish in my tartar sauce. Overall, it's a fun place!

Visited for our annual celebration honoring our Irish heritage and my children's gran & aunts birthdays (and paternal family who still live in Ireland). Having visited local pubs in Ireland, there's a couple key things we look for when we visit Irish pubs. The key ingredient is black pudding and a certain type of beer. In the spirit of cultural exploration, we decided to try someplace new. The setting was very Irish, the Pogues playing traditional Irish music on the stereo in the background. The food was good, small in portion (which is not typical for any traditional Irish pub). But what bothered us was the plastic plate, plastic cutlery, and (gasp) plastic cups. My toast was tough due to being overcooked (but that happens from time to time) which I pointed out to the server. Traditionally Guinness is served in a half pint or pint glass. This adds to the flavor. And I can't be certain but the pour was done in the American style (like a soda drink) and not as I learned to pour while in Ireland - thus the head tasted a little flat. That being said, there was very little presence of Irish pride. I understand it's the holiday. Things are chaotic during holidays for servers and other staff. But there was only one server who wore any green accessories. No shirts that displayed Irish pride - and March is the season of Erin Go Bragh (Ireland Forever) it's also the month of the Easter Rebellion (that's 90 years of celebration for their independence). And I didn't notice any of that. We are thankful that the server gave us our space, and they did a good job. However overall the service was subpar. Everyone saw us enter. They saw where we were sitting. But unless they were serving us our food and drinks, there was little interaction overall. And we had to go up to the bar to pay our tab since they were nowhere to be found.* Note * Keep in mind our seat was right next to the entry for the bar and the kitchen. The resturaunt itself was not very busy during our time (at least not until we had finished & were starting to leave). They were just understaffed for the holiday and too hyper focused. Also for it being an Irish pub, I didn't have the opportunity to meet any staff with a true Irish background.

In my college days, finding a place to drink some green beer was my thing on St. Patty's Day. But as I got older, I grew to appreciate a good Guinness or Murphy's Irish Stout paired with some Irish cuisine. Irish pubs are some of my favorite places to hang out. I don't get to Glendale often living in the East Valley. But a group of friends chose Tim Finnegan's as our pre St. Patrick's Day celebration location. This place has everything one would find in an authentic Irish pub. Irish themed decor and music with a full menu of Irish favorites and brews on draft. But what I enjoyed most about being here at Tim Finnegan's was its fun crowd celebrating and having a good time. The menu incudes all of the Irish cuisine classics mixed in with some American entrées. Lamb Shepherd's Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Bangers & Mash and Irish Potatoes Skins are all here. I was with a large group and I was impressed with not only how great our service was, but how fast the food came out. I got here during happy hour and started off with some discounted appetizers before eating my Reuben Sandwich. I don't drink as much as I use to, but having a pint of Guinness with some good Irish food always hits the spot. I got a kick out of the beer foam art on my Guinness. My only regret of the night was not having enough room for some Bailey's Bread Pudding for dessert. Tim Finnegan's Irish Restaurant And Pub is named after a character in a ballad called "Finnegan's Wake". Tim Finnegan had a love for liquor and was brought back to life when some whiskey was accidentally spilled on his corpse. What a great find! Sláinte!

For March's UYE International Supper Club, our fearless leaders Ursula and Monica chose this place for us to meet up. Being that it is March, an Irish place makes sense! Totally legit Irish pub and reminds me so much of home (East Coast). How many times have I during my days in NYC and Boston did I stumble in and out of Irish pubs with Irish ancestry friends in tow? Getting here was a pain if coming from SW Phoenix and took almost an hour during our ridiculous rush hour, but can say it was worth it for good beer, food and company. We arrived at 6:30pm and we had another 30 min of happy hour! Sweet! I had a $5 Smithwick Red Ale (love this beer and the great price!) and passed on appetizers, but lots to choose from and friends got curry fries, loaded potato skins, stuffed cabbage roll carnitas (interesting concept), Bavarian pretzel. I even spied mussels for $10, but I was like, huh? It's a Irish place or...? I like Shepherd's pie, but when I saw that Shepherd's pasty was also available, I ordered that. It was delicious and plenty left over for lunch tomorrow. Others got the Reuben sandwich, fish and chips, cod, etc. No one complained about their food, and everyone seemed happy with the experience. Great supper club meet up, and I got to try a place that reminded me of home. I'd love to return when there is live music, karaoke or just a rowdy debauchery happening!

Out and about looking for a local spot we'd not been yet and came across Tim Finnegan's. The vibe looking at the front doors and quaint patio instantly had me knowing I was going to like it. It looked like what I'd envision an Irish pub would look like. Once inside we walked into a busy place with a seat yourself sign. We opted for a booth near the bar since all the bar seats were full. After about 4-5 minutes someone greeted us and took our drink orders while also dropping off menus. There were some really great options. I wish I could've tried so many, but opted for fish and chips. My husband ordered the Rueben with scallop potatoes. The cider I ordered was so good. There are many great beers on tap of course your typical Guinness etc of course as well. Food came out pretty quick. Fish was good, coleslaw great, but the fries awful, soggy and no flavor. The Rueben was huge and looked so good. I'd never seen a Rueben with coleslaw on it, but after taking a bite to try it I really enjoyed it. Rueben's are not my thing, but this one was delicious. The scallop potatoes while they looked unappealing they were good as well. Service was okay, but they were definitely short staffed. It was obvious they were trying their best, but struggling a bit to keep up. The vibe inside was great. Not super dark, good mix of high tops, booths, regular tables and the bar made make it easy to find your spot. I loved that the bar offered purse hooks as well as charging ports if needed. This small touch goes a long way. I hate when I have to hold my purse or worry about not being able to keep an eye on it. I could definitely see coming back. Great stop.

First impression, very clean interior, self seating, plenty of space and friendly staff. Ordered Irish breakfast and corn beef and cabbage taquitos with a Guinness to start. The food was absolutely delicious, presentation was great, the black and white pudding are made in house and they are fantastic. I've had Irish breakfast in Ireland and New York, gotta say this place did not disappoint. Great price "be careful, it's yummy" certified!

    Nice clean bathroom!

Dined-4.24.24: First time here & recommended by a friend. She was not wrong! Our server was so welcoming and checked in us regularly w/o being overbearing. As a starter we went with the Corned Beef & Cabbage taquitos and they were delicious! As my main, I had the Blackened Chicken Sandwich w/ Caesar Salad for my side. The food was delicious, customer service was on point and they had a very clean and tidy bathroom which sealed the night for me. I look forward to returning!

Ask the Community - Tim Finnegan's Irish Restaurant And Pub

Do they still have a trivia night? Which night?

Yes we still have trivia on Tuesday nights. Starts at 7:30pm

Hi. Are there many crossdressers at the Pub? Thanks! it sounds like a really fun place :)

    What a dumb question

What are the real hours for this restaurant cause one time I went at 11pm and it was closed. I'm guessing the 2am is not accurate?

Our hours are 11am-2am each day. When was your visit that the doors were locked at 11pm? Our kitchen doesn’t close until midnight so this could’ve been a one off maintenance thing when we first opened.… Read more

I've visited this spot twice now, and unfortunately, both experiences left me feeling underwhelmed…read more The food lands in the "average" category for me, and the service has consistently been a bit slow and inattentive, nothing rude, just not very engaging or efficient. On my most recent visit, I ordered the HQ BBQ wings as my main and decided to share some jalapeno poppers and a side of onion rings. The wings were decent, tender enough with a solid smoky BBQ flavor that wasn't overpowering, though they didn't wow me or stand out from other wing joints I've tried. The jalapeno poppers were similarly okay: cheesy and extremely spicy without being exceptional, a reliable but forgettable appetizer. That said, the onion rings were the clear highlight! They were perfectly crispy on the outside with that ideal thick, golden batter, and the onions inside stayed sweet and tender without turning greasy or soggy. They had great flavor and texture, honestly some of the best I've had recently. I could easily see myself returning just for a big basket of those rings. If you're a big fan of standout onion rings and don't mind middle-of-the-road BBQ and service, this place might still be worth a casual stop. For me, though, it's probably not a regular go-to unless I'm craving those rings specifically.
